New & Used 2026 Honda Passport for Sale nearIthaca, NY

How much does the 2026 Honda Passport cost?

Prices have held steady compared to this time last year, signaling a stable and predictable market for this model year.

There are 1,148 listings available, which suggests you should have a reasonable amount of inventory to compare.

Is the 2026 Honda Passport a good car?

Yes — you’re looking at a 5/5 user-rated SUV with an expert score of 7.8/10. The standout strength is Form and function at 10/10.

The 2026 Honda Passport is a redesigned two-row SUV that moves into a more rugged, aspirational space, and it stands out for its spacious interior, cargo capacity, and easy-to-use technology. It is also positioned as a more capable off-road choice than before, which broadens its appeal beyond the typical family crossover role.

The trade-offs are clear: it carries a high price tag, and it still lacks key off-road features. Poor fuel economy is another drawback.

With 36.3% of listings priced as good or great deals, you do have some room to shop carefully.

Is the 2026 Honda Passport reliable?

Owners rate it 5/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

The 2026 Honda Passport is described as a well-rounded crossover with broad usefulness, and its redesign brings a new engine, interior, and cargo area. Honda also positions it as more capable off-road than before, while still keeping it practical for everyday use.

Its naturally aspirated V6 is presented as a lower-strung but still powerful choice, and the transmission is described as operating unobtrusively. Honda also notes that the powertrain’s gains come from reducing emissions rather than delivering a major jump in fuel economy.

For used buyers, the main long-term risk is that the Passport’s higher running costs and modest efficiency can make ownership less forgiving if you rack up a lot of miles.

What should I look for when buying a used 2026 Honda Passport?

Accident-free inventory is excellent at 93.4% — clean inventory, standard diligence applies.

You should still run a history report and prioritize a pre-purchase inspection, especially if you’re considering a TrailSport or a higher-mileage example. Focus on overall condition, tire wear, and signs of hard use, since this model is aimed at buyers who may actually take advantage of its tougher personality.

Key things to evaluate:

• Trim level: The Passport is sold in three trim levels: RTL, TrailSport, and TrailSport Elite. The RTL is the quieter, more road-focused choice, while the TrailSport models lean into the more rugged look and feel. The TrailSport Elite adds the most upscale interior presentation and is the best-value pick if you want the richest equipment mix.
• Powertrain: Every trim uses a naturally aspirated 3.5-liter V6 with a 10-speed automatic transmission and standard all-wheel drive. Honda says the engine makes 285 horsepower and 262 pound-feet of torque, and the Passport is tuned for stronger off-road and on-road balance rather than maximum efficiency.
• Safety package: Every Passport gets Honda Safety Sense, which includes automatic emergency braking, lane-departure warning and lane-keeping assist, blind-spot monitoring and rear cross-traffic alert, adaptive cruise control, traffic-jam assist, traffic-sign recognition, and low-speed braking control. Eight airbags are standard, too.
• Infotainment: You get a 12.3-inch touchscreen with Google Built-in, plus wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto as standard equipment. A Wi-Fi hotspot, four USB-C charging ports, and a 10.2-inch digital driver display are included on every trim, while the TrailSport Elite adds a 12-speaker Bose stereo and TrailWatch camera system.
• Fuel efficiency: The Passport should return 19 mpg city, 25 highway, and 21 combined in RTL trim, or 18/23/20 in TrailSport and TrailSport Elite trims.

Which 2026 Honda Passport trim should I buy?

The 2026 Honda Passport is offered in 3 trim levels: RTL, TrailSport, and TrailSport Elite.

Here's the short version:

• RTL: This is the trim to choose if you want the Passport’s core strengths at the lowest entry point. You still get standard all-wheel drive, the 12.3-inch touchscreen, wireless phone projection, and the full safety suite, so it covers the essentials well.
• TrailSport: This is the best-value trim if you want the Passport’s more adventurous personality. It adds the more rugged setup and is the version most clearly aimed at off-road-minded buyers without jumping to the top price tier.
• TrailSport Elite: This is the one to buy if you want the most complete Passport experience. It adds the richest cabin presentation, the Bose audio system, and the TrailWatch camera system, making it the most premium and easiest to live with.

Honda Safety Sense is standard across the lineup, so you do not need to move up a trim just to get the core driver-assistance features.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2026 Honda Passport?

This looks like a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you can shop patiently and still find worthwhile listings.

• Deal availability: 36.3% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 1,148 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have held steady compared with last year.
• Clean inventory: 93.4% of listings are accident-free.

If you find a listing below $46,173, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2026 Honda Passport's resale value?

The current average of $46,704 sits slightly below last year's $46,897.

That small decline suggests the Passport is holding value fairly steadily rather than swinging sharply in either direction. For a future seller, that kind of stability can be helpful because it points to a market that is still willing to pay close to current averages.

The model’s broad usefulness, roomy cabin, and strong owner satisfaction should help keep demand healthy when you decide to sell. Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 5/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Is the 2026 Honda Passport safe?

The 2026 Honda Passport earns a 7/10 safety score from our experts.

Honda equips every 2026 Passport with Honda Safety Sense, which includes automatic emergency braking, lane-departure warning and lane-keeping assist, blind-spot monitoring and rear cross-traffic alert, adaptive cruise control, traffic-jam assist, traffic-sign recognition, and low-speed braking control. Eight airbags are standard as well.

The main caveat is that crash testing for this generation was still pending in the source material, so there is no new IIHS or NHTSA result to cite here. That means you should treat the Passport as well equipped on paper, while still waiting for independent test confirmation.

Should I buy a 2026 Honda Passport or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2026 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2026 if:

• 36.3% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Accident-free inventory is excellent at 93.4% — clean inventory, standard diligence applies.
• Price trend: Prices have held steady compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 5/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.
• The redesign brings a more rugged look, a new engine, and a more capable off-road personality.

Consider the 2027 if:

• The TrailSport trims gain upgraded suspension and extra ground clearance.

The bottom line: If you want the newest redesign and a stable used-market price, the 2026 is the better starting point. If you’re price-sensitive and want to wait for the TrailSport updates, the 2027 may be worth a look.
