New & Used 2026 Genesis GV70 for Sale nearSan Luis Obispo, CA

How much does the 2026 Genesis GV70 cost?

Prices have softened 4.93% compared to this time last year, making it a favorable time to shop this model year.

There are 1,458 listings available, which suggests you should have a reasonable amount of inventory to compare.

Is the 2026 Genesis GV70 a good car?

Yes — the 2026 Genesis GV70 earns a 5/5 user rating and an 8.17/10 expert rating. The model scores 9/10 across Look and feel, Technology, and Safety.

The GV70’s appeal comes through clearly in its refreshed styling, wide OLED display, and upgraded software for technology and safety systems. It stays focused on refinement rather than reinvention, which fits a compact luxury SUV that already had a strong formula.

The trade-offs are worth weighing: the ergonomic design is a weak point, and there is no hybrid option. Even so, it remains near the head of its class and is especially appealing if you want a well-equipped luxury crossover with standard all-wheel drive.

The market shows 38.1% of listings as good or great deals, which gives you some room to shop selectively.

Is the 2026 Genesis GV70 reliable?

Owners rate it 5/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

The GV70 is described as a refined, well-equipped luxury crossover with a comprehensive upgrade to its technology and safety systems, and that kind of breadth usually supports confidence in day-to-day ownership. Its standard all-wheel drive and smooth, well-controlled ride also point to a vehicle built for consistent use rather than flash.

The performance notes emphasize a smooth ride across a variety of road surfaces, helped by hydro bushings, Highway Body Motion Control, and Road Preview on 3.5T models. Genesis also says the refreshed software package improves the ownership experience over time.

For used buyers, the main long-term risk is that a feature-rich luxury SUV can be more expensive to keep in top shape if you skip maintenance or buy a poorly cared-for example.

What should I look for when buying a used 2026 Genesis GV70?

Accident-free inventory is excellent at 95.1% — clean inventory, standard diligence applies.

You should still run a vehicle history report and prioritize a pre-purchase inspection, especially on higher-trim examples with more equipment to verify. Focus on overall condition, because a luxury SUV like this can hide expensive wear in electronics, interior trim, and suspension components if it has been neglected.

Key things to evaluate:

• Trim level: The standard model emphasizes refined styling and a luxurious cabin, while Sport versions add darker exterior trim, unique wheel options, and more aggressive interior accents. Base-trim shoppers should pay close attention to which convenience and appearance features are missing before deciding whether the lower price is worth it.
• Powertrain: The base 2.5-liter turbocharged four-cylinder makes 300 horsepower and 311 pound-feet of torque, while the optional 3.5-liter turbocharged V6 delivers 375 hp and 391 lb-ft. All-wheel drive is standard, and the V6 brings stronger acceleration if you want more effortless passing power.
• Safety package: Standard equipment includes Forward Collision-Avoidance Assist, Lane Keeping Assist, Lane Following Assist, Driver Attention Warning, Blind-Spot Collision Avoidance-Assist, Rear Cross-Traffic Collision Avoidance-Assist, Front and Rear Parking Distance Warning, Safe Exit Assist, Rear Occupant Alert and Forward Attention Warning. Higher trims add Front, Rear and Side Parking Distance Warning plus Rear Parking Collision-Avoidance Assist.
• Infotainment: The cabin centers on a 27-inch OLED display, and the system includes wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, OTA updates, a 360-degree Surround View Monitor, and customizable digital gauges. You also get Genesis Digital Key 2 and a Fingerprint Authentication System.
• Fuel efficiency: The base 2.5T is estimated at 20 mpg city and 28 mpg highway, while the 2.5T Sport Prestige drops to 26 mpg highway with its larger tires. The V6 version is estimated at 18 mpg city and 25 mpg highway.

Which 2026 Genesis GV70 trim should I buy?

The 2026 Genesis GV70 is offered in 6 trim levels: 2.5T, 2.5T Select, 2.5T Advanced, 2.5T Sport Prestige, 3.5T Sport Advanced, 3.5T Sport Prestige.

Here's the short version:

• 2.5T: This is the entry point, and it gives you the core GV70 experience with standard all-wheel drive, the 300-horsepower turbo four, and the refreshed design and tech. It makes sense if you want the GV70’s style and fundamentals at the lowest price.
• 2.5T Select: This trim adds a panoramic sunroof, wireless charging, and upgraded aluminum trim, making it a more appealing everyday choice if you want a better-equipped cabin without jumping too far up the price ladder.
• 2.5T Advanced: This is the best-value trim for many shoppers because it adds an excellent Bang & Olufsen audio system, ventilated seats, a 360-degree camera, leather seating surfaces and more. It’s the sweet spot if you want a luxury feel without moving into the highest-priced versions.
• 2.5T Sport Prestige: This trim layers on the most features for the four-cylinder model and is the right pick if you want a near-fully loaded GV70 without stepping up to the V6.
• 3.5T Sport Advanced: Choose this if you want the stronger twin-turbo V6 and the extra performance it brings. It’s the better fit if acceleration matters more to you than staying near the lower end of the price range.
• 3.5T Sport Prestige: This is the top choice if you want the V6 plus the most complete feature set and the most upscale presentation.

Stepping up to the 2.5T Advanced trim and 3.5T Sport Prestige trim also brings Front, Rear and Side Parking Distance Warning along with Rear Parking Collision-Avoidance Assist.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2026 Genesis GV70?

This looks like a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you can shop with some leverage if you’re patient.

• Deal availability: 38.1% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 1,458 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 4.93% compared with last year.
• Clean inventory: 95.1% of listings are accident-free.

If you find a listing below $51,563, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2026 Genesis GV70's resale value?

The current average of $53,377 sits slightly below last year's $56,146.

That price movement suggests the market has already adjusted downward, which can help you as a buyer today but may also limit upside if you plan to resell soon. If you buy at the right price and keep the vehicle in strong condition, you’ll be better positioned to absorb future depreciation.

The GV70’s strong feature content and broad appeal should help it remain desirable, especially because it continues to stand out as Genesis’ most popular model. A well-kept example with the right equipment should be easier to move than a stripped or neglected one.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 5/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Is the 2026 Genesis GV70 safe?

The 2026 GV70 has not yet been tested by the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety, but the 2025 Genesis GV70 was rated a Top Safety Pick+, and past versions have earned five-star ratings from the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration.

It earns a 9/10 safety score from our experts.

The standard safety suite includes Forward Collision-Avoidance Assist, Lane Keeping Assist, Lane Following Assist, Driver Attention Warning, Blind-Spot Collision Avoidance-Assist, Rear Cross-Traffic Collision Avoidance-Assist, Front and Rear Parking Distance Warning, Safe Exit Assist, Rear Occupant Alert and Forward Attention Warning. Higher trims add Front, Rear and Side Parking Distance Warning plus Rear Parking Collision-Avoidance Assist.

Genesis’ Highway Driving Assist now uses capacitive sensors to detect your hands on the steering wheel, and testing found it generally reliable despite some side-to-side movement within the lane. The main caveat is that the refreshed 2026 model has not yet been crash-tested directly.

Should I buy a 2026 Genesis GV70 or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2026 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2026 if:

• 38.1% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Accident-free inventory is excellent at 95.1% — clean inventory, standard diligence applies.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 4.93% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 5/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.
• The refreshed cabin’s wide OLED display and upgraded software make this year feel meaningfully updated.

The bottom line: If you want the freshest version of the GV70 with the strongest tech presentation and a softer used-market price, the 2026 is the one to target. If you’re mainly shopping for the lowest possible entry price, a nearby model year may save you money, but you’ll give up some of the refresh appeal and current-market leverage.
