New & Used 2026 Genesis GV70 for Sale nearIthaca, NY

How much does the 2026 Genesis GV70 cost?

Prices have softened 2.21% compared to this time last year, making it a favorable time to shop this model year.

There are 1,447 listings available, which suggests healthy inventory for shoppers comparing trims and prices.

Is the 2026 Genesis GV70 a good car?

Yes — the 2026 Genesis GV70 earns a 5/5 user rating and an 8.17/10 expert rating. The model scores 9/10 across Look and feel, Technology, and Safety.

The GV70’s appeal comes through clearly in its refined styling, wide OLED display, and comprehensive software upgrade for its technology and safety systems. It comes across as a compact luxury SUV that prioritizes polish and equipment, and it remains near the head of its class.

The trade-offs are just as clear: the ergonomic design is a weak point, and there is no hybrid option. Even so, it still fits well if you want a well-equipped luxury crossover with standard all-wheel drive and a strong design identity.

With 39.2% of listings marked as good or great deals, the market gives you some room to shop selectively.

Is the 2026 Genesis GV70 reliable?

Owners rate it 5/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

The GV70’s reliability case is supported by its refined overall formula, standard all-wheel drive, and a comprehensive set of technology and safety systems that were upgraded for 2026. The expert evaluation also points to a smooth, well-controlled ride and a powertrain lineup that is designed for everyday usability as well as stronger performance in higher trims.

The performance notes also emphasize that the 2026 GV70’s systems are tuned for comfort and control, with features designed to reduce road vibrations and improve ride quality. Genesis also includes a first scheduled maintenance visit on the house.

For used buyers, the main long-term ownership risk is that the GV70’s premium features and complex tech may require more careful upkeep than a simpler mainstream SUV.

What should I look for when buying a used 2026 Genesis GV70?

Accident-free inventory is excellent at 95% — clean inventory, standard diligence applies.

You should still run a vehicle history report and verify that the specific listing matches the equipment you want, especially if you’re comparing lower and higher trims. A pre-purchase inspection is worth prioritizing on a luxury SUV like this, since condition, electronics, and maintenance history matter more than mileage alone. Focus on how well the cabin, infotainment, and driver-assistance features work in real-world use.

Key things to evaluate:

• Trim level: The standard car has a refined look, while Sport models add dark chrome molding, unique wheel options, and a more aggressive interior treatment. Higher trims also bring richer materials, including carbon-fiber accents in the top Sport Prestige edition.
• Powertrain: The base 2.5-liter turbocharged four-cylinder makes 300 horsepower and 311 pound-feet of torque, while the optional 3.5-liter turbocharged V6 makes 375 hp and 391 lb-ft of torque. All-wheel drive is standard across the lineup, and the V6 is reserved for Sport Advanced 3.5T and Sport Prestige 3.5T trims.
• Safety package: Standard equipment includes Forward Collision-Avoidance Assist, Lane Keeping Assist, Lane Following Assist, Driver Attention Warning, Blind-Spot Collision Avoidance-Assist, Rear Cross-Traffic Collision Avoidance-Assist, Front and Rear Parking Distance Warning, Safe Exit Assist, Rear Occupant Alert and Forward Attention Warning. Front, Rear and Side Parking Distance Warning plus Rear Parking Collision-Avoidance Assist are added on the 2.5T Advanced and 3.5T Sport Prestige trims.
• Infotainment: The cabin centers on a 27-inch OLED display, and the GV70 includes wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, OTA updates, and a 360-degree Surround View Monitor. It also adds customizable themes, digital gauges, and expanded voice commands.
• Fuel efficiency: Genesis estimates 20 mpg city and 28 mpg highway for the base 2.5T, 21 mpg city and 26 mpg highway for the 2.5T Sport Prestige, and 18 mpg city and 25 mpg highway with the larger engine.

Which 2026 Genesis GV70 trim should I buy?

The 2026 Genesis GV70 is offered in 4 trim levels: 2.5T, 2.5T Select, 2.5T Advanced, and 2.5T Sport Prestige.

Here's the short version:

• 2.5T: This is the entry point, but it still gives you the core GV70 experience: standard all-wheel drive, the 300-horsepower turbo four, and the model’s upscale design and tech foundation. It makes sense if you want the lowest starting price and don’t need the extra comfort and convenience features.
• 2.5T Select: This trim adds a panoramic sunroof, wireless charging, and upgraded aluminum trim, making it the best-value choice for many shoppers who want a more complete luxury feel without jumping too far up the price ladder.
• 2.5T Advanced: This is the trim to target if you want a stronger luxury payoff, since it adds an excellent Bang & Olufsen audio system, ventilated seats, a 360-degree camera, and leather seating surfaces.
• 2.5T Sport Prestige: This is the fully loaded choice, with the most equipment and the most upscale presentation. It suits you if you want the richest feature set and don’t mind paying near the top of the range.

Safety equipment expands on the 2.5T Advanced and 3.5T Sport Prestige trims with Front, Rear and Side Parking Distance Warning plus Rear Parking Collision-Avoidance Assist.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2026 Genesis GV70?

This looks like a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you can shop with some leverage if you’re patient.

• Deal availability: 39.2% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 1,447 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 2.21% compared with last year.
• Clean inventory: 95.0% of listings are accident-free.

If you find a listing below $51,550, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2026 Genesis GV70's resale value?

The current average of $53,209 sits slightly below last year's $54,411.

That softer pricing suggests the GV70 is currently giving buyers a bit more room to negotiate than it did a year ago. For a future seller, that can mean you may need to price competitively to stand out, especially if the market stays well supplied.

At the same time, the GV70’s strong equipment list and premium positioning help support demand. If you keep the vehicle in clean condition and maintain it well, it should remain appealing to used buyers looking for a luxury SUV with a strong feature set.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 5/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Is the 2026 Genesis GV70 safe?

The 2026 GV70 has not yet been tested by the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety, but the 2025 Genesis GV70 was rated a Top Safety Pick+, and past versions have earned five-star ratings from the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration.

It earns a 9/10 safety score from our experts.

The GV70’s standard safety suite includes Forward Collision-Avoidance Assist, Lane Keeping Assist, Lane Following Assist, Driver Attention Warning, Blind-Spot Collision Avoidance-Assist, Rear Cross-Traffic Collision Avoidance-Assist, Front and Rear Parking Distance Warning, Safe Exit Assist, Rear Occupant Alert and Forward Attention Warning. Genesis’ Highway Driving Assist also uses capacitive sensors to detect your hands on the steering wheel.

A trim-level caveat is that Front, Rear and Side Parking Distance Warning plus Rear Parking Collision-Avoidance Assist are reserved for the 2.5T Advanced and 3.5T Sport Prestige trims. The main safety takeaway is that the refreshed 2026 model is expected to remain highly competitive, but its newest crash-test results are still pending.

Should I buy a 2026 Genesis GV70 or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2026 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

• 39.2% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Accident-free inventory is excellent at 95% — clean inventory, standard diligence applies.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 2.21% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 5/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.

The bottom line:

If you want the freshest GV70 with the updated cabin tech and a strong mix of luxury, safety, and standard all-wheel drive, the 2026 is the one to target. If your priority is saving money, a nearby older model year may be worth considering, but the 2026’s refreshed interior and strong market availability make it the better pick for shoppers who want the latest version without giving up value.
