New & Used 2026 Genesis G80 for Sale nearHowell, MI

Is the 2026 Genesis G80 a good car?

The 2026 Genesis G80 earns an 8.3/10 expert rating. The standout strength is Look and feel at 10/10.

It fits buyers who want a midsize luxury sedan that leans into old-school elegance instead of a colder, more technical feel. The design is stylish, the interior materials are premium, and the technology is impressive, which helps the G80 feel genuinely upscale. The trade-offs are that the brakes can feel grabby and the rear seat cushion lacks comfort, and Highway Driving Assist has quirks.

Even so, the G80’s calm, confident personality and authentic luxury-sedan character make it a strong fit if you value style, comfort, and a traditional premium feel. 33.5% of listings are priced as good or great deals, which gives you a decent amount of market flexibility.

Is the 2026 Genesis G80 reliable?

The 2026 Genesis G80 is presented as a well-built luxury sedan with a strong warranty and a polished ownership experience. The overview emphasizes premium materials, solid construction, and a car that feels special inside, while the expert notes call out a quiet, isolated cabin and a traditional luxury driving character.

Its powertrain is backed by a 10-year/100,000-mile warranty, and the cost-effectiveness notes say Genesis also includes valet service that picks up the car and leaves a courtesy vehicle. That combination supports the G80’s long-term appeal if you want a luxury sedan that feels thoughtfully supported after purchase.

For used buyers, the main long-term risk is that a complex luxury sedan can still bring expensive repairs once warranty coverage ends.

What should I look for when buying a used 2026 Genesis G80?

You should still run a history report and verify that the car’s equipment and condition match the listing, especially if you’re shopping for a higher-trim example. A pre-purchase inspection is worth prioritizing on a luxury sedan like this, with extra attention on braking feel, rear-seat comfort, and driver-assist behavior.

Key things to evaluate:

• Trim level: The 2.5T comes in base, Advanced, and Sport Prestige trims, while the 3.5T comes in Sport Prestige and Prestige Black. The base model misses the 18-speaker, 1,400-watt Bang & Olufsen premium audio system.
• Powertrain: The 3.5T uses a twin-turbo 3.5-liter V6 with 375 horsepower and 391 pound-feet of torque, while the 2.5T uses a turbocharged four-cylinder. Both use an eight-speed automatic transmission and standard AWD.
• Safety package: Highway Driving Assist combines adaptive cruise control, lane-centering assist, and lane-change assist. Remote Smart Parking Assist 2 is also included, and the Sport Prestige test vehicle added a surround-view camera system and blind-spot monitor.
• Infotainment: The cabin uses a 27-inch OLED display, wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto are standard, and the car supports saved driver profiles, fingerprint authentication, and digital key technology.
• Fuel efficiency: The 3.5T is rated at 18 mpg combined, while the 2.5T is rated at 23 mpg combined.

Which 2026 Genesis G80 trim should I buy?

The 2026 Genesis G80 is offered in 5 trim levels: base, Advanced, Sport Prestige, Prestige Black, and Prestige Black.

Here's the short version:

• base: This is the entry point, but it skips the 18-speaker, 1,400-watt Bang & Olufsen premium audio system. Choose it only if you want the lowest-cost way into the G80.

• Sport Prestige: This is the best-value trim for many shoppers because it adds the richer equipment mix and was the test vehicle configuration.
• Prestige Black: Choose this if you want the most upscale presentation and are willing to pay for it.
• Prestige Black: This trim is the top-end choice for shoppers who want the most exclusive-feeling G80.
