New & Used 2026 Genesis G80 for Sale nearDenver, CO

Is the 2026 Genesis G80 a good car?

The 2026 Genesis G80 earns an 8.3/10 expert rating. The standout strength is Look and feel at 10/10.

It fits you well if you want a midsize luxury sedan that leans into calm, confident, old-school elegance instead of a cold, technical feel. The overview and expert notes both point to a car that makes its case through styling, premium cabin materials, and a polished luxury-car character rather than badge prestige.

The trade-offs are clear: the brakes can feel grabby, and the rear seat cushion lacks comfort. Highway Driving Assist also has quirks that can interrupt the otherwise refined experience.

With 31.3% of listings priced as good or great deals, you have a moderate amount of market opportunity if you’re shopping carefully.

Is the 2026 Genesis G80 reliable?

The 2026 Genesis G80 is presented as a traditional luxury sedan with a strong ownership pitch, including a long powertrain warranty and complimentary scheduled maintenance. The expert notes also describe it as calm, confident, and well suited to buyers who want a refined luxury experience rather than a highly technical one.

Its performance character is centered on smooth power delivery and a quiet, isolated cabin, which supports the sense that it is built for relaxed daily use and longer trips. The cost-effectiveness notes also highlight valet service that picks up the car and leaves a courtesy vehicle, which adds convenience to ownership.

For used buyers, the long-term risk is more about keeping the car’s advanced systems and luxury features in good working order than about the basic formula itself.

What should I look for when buying a used 2026 Genesis G80?

Accident-free inventory is excellent at 95.6% — clean inventory, standard diligence applies.

You should still run a history report and prioritize a pre-purchase inspection, especially if you’re considering a higher-trim example with more equipment. Focus on overall condition, how the driver-assistance systems behave, and whether the cabin features and electronics operate cleanly.

Key things to evaluate:

• Trim level: The 2.5T comes in base, Advanced, and Sport Prestige trim levels, while the 3.5T comes only in Sport Prestige and Prestige Black trim levels. The base model skips the 18-speaker, 1,400-watt Bang & Olufsen premium audio system, so that is a meaningful feature gap if you want a richer cabin experience.
• Powertrain: The G80 is offered with a turbocharged four-cylinder or a twin-turbocharged 3.5-liter V6. The V6 brings stronger output and standard all-wheel drive, while the four-cylinder is the more efficient choice on paper.
• Safety package: Highway Driving Assist combines adaptive cruise control, lane-centering assist, and lane-change assist. Remote Smart Parking Assist 2 is also included, and the Sport Prestige test vehicle added a surround-view camera system and blind-spot monitor. The system still requires you to keep your hands on the wheel and eyes on the road, and the base model does not get the premium audio system.
• Infotainment: The G80 uses a 27-inch OLED display, and wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto are standard. It also supports saved driver profiles, a fingerprint authentication system, and digital key technology.
• Fuel efficiency: The four-cylinder G80 is rated at 23 mpg combined, while the V6 test car averaged 22.8 mpg on a mixed route and 20.6 mpg on a more enthusiastic drive.

Which 2026 Genesis G80 trim should I buy?

The 2026 Genesis G80 is offered in 5 trim levels: base, Advanced, Sport Prestige, Prestige Black, and Sport Prestige.

Here's the short version:

• base: This is the entry point if you want the G80’s core luxury look and feel at the lowest price, but it skips the 18-speaker, 1,400-watt Bang & Olufsen premium audio system. It makes sense if you care most about the design, cabin materials, and overall value.
• Advanced: This is the best-value trim if you want more equipment without jumping all the way to the upper end of the lineup. It should suit you if you want a more complete luxury experience while staying away from the most expensive versions.
• Sport Prestige: This is the trim to target if you want the strongest blend of luxury, technology, and capability. It can be paired with either engine, and the test vehicle’s equipment shows how much this trim can add, including the premium audio system and available driver-assistance upgrades.
• Prestige Black: This is the most distinctive choice if you want the 3.5T’s upscale positioning and a more exclusive feel. It fits you best if you want the richer powertrain and a more premium presentation.
• Sport Prestige: This version is the one to choose if you want the most fully equipped G80 experience and are willing to pay for it.

The safety package is strong across the lineup, but Highway Driving Assist still has quirks, so you should test it carefully on your own route.

Is the 2026 Genesis G80 safe?

The 2026 Genesis G80 earns a Top Safety Pick+ from IIHS and a five-star overall safety rating from NHTSA.

It earns an 8/10 safety score from our experts.

The G80’s driver-assistance suite centers on Highway Driving Assist, which combines adaptive cruise control, lane-centering assist, and lane-change assist for single-lane highway driving. It also includes Remote Smart Parking Assist 2, and the test vehicle added a surround-view camera system and blind-spot monitor with camera-based blind-spot imagery.

Highway Driving Assist is the main caveat. It was effective in testing overall, but it showed some unexpected behavior, including braking when overridden and continuing a lane-change attempt after the driver had already completed it.

Should I buy a 2026 Genesis G80 or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2026 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

• 31.3% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Accident-free inventory is excellent at 95.6% — clean inventory, standard diligence applies.
• It emphasizes old-school elegance, premium materials, and a polished luxury feel.
