New & Used 2026 Genesis G80 for Sale nearCenter Rutland, VT

Is the 2026 Genesis G80 a good car?

The 2026 Genesis G80 earns an 8.33/10 expert rating. The standout strength is Look and feel at 10/10.

That score lines up with what you get from the G80’s overall character: it is aimed at you if you want a luxury sedan that leans into elegance, premium materials, and a calm, polished driving experience rather than a cold, technical sports-sedan vibe. The car’s appeal is strongest if you value stylish design, a sumptuous interior, and impressive technology.

The trade-offs are real, though. The brakes can feel grabby, and the rear seat cushion lacks comfort. Highway Driving Assist also has quirks, so the G80 is best if you prioritize refinement and atmosphere over perfection.

Good and great deals account for 36.2% of listings, which suggests there is still some room to shop selectively.

Is the 2026 Genesis G80 reliable?

The 2026 Genesis G80 is presented as a traditional luxury sedan with a strong emphasis on refinement, and its expert evaluation highlights a quiet, isolated cabin and a smooth, confident driving character. It also comes with a 10-year/100,000-mile powertrain warranty, which is a meaningful ownership advantage for a used luxury sedan.

Its powertrains are described as smooth, with the eight-speed automatic working well and the chassis tuned for comfort rather than drama. The expert evaluation also notes that the car’s suspension soaks up rough pavement well, which supports the impression of a well-sorted luxury cruiser.

Genesis also includes complimentary scheduled maintenance, plus valet service that picks up the car and leaves a courtesy vehicle. For used buyers, the main long-term risk is that a luxury sedan with complex technology and premium hardware can be costly if prior maintenance or condition has been neglected.

What should I look for when buying a used 2026 Genesis G80?

Accident-free inventory is excellent at 96.6% — clean inventory, standard diligence applies.

You should still run a vehicle history report and prioritize a pre-purchase inspection, especially on a luxury sedan with advanced driver-assistance tech and premium convenience features. Pay close attention to brake feel, rear-seat comfort, and whether the driver-assist systems behave as expected in real-world driving. Condition matters most on cars with higher-end wheels, suspension hardware, and interior trim, since those items can be expensive to sort out.

Key things to evaluate:

• Trim level: The 2.5T is offered in base, Advanced, and Sport Prestige trims, while the 3.5T comes in Sport Prestige and Prestige Black. The base model misses the 18-speaker, 1,400-watt Bang & Olufsen premium audio system, so higher trims bring a more complete luxury experience.
• Powertrain: The 2.5T uses a turbocharged four-cylinder engine, while the 3.5T uses a twin-turbocharged 3.5-liter V6 with 375 horsepower and 391 pound-feet of torque. Both engines use a smooth eight-speed automatic transmission and standard all-wheel drive.
• Safety package: Highway Driving Assist combines adaptive cruise control, lane-centering assist, and lane-change assist for single-lane highway driving. Remote Smart Parking Assist 2 can park the car in parallel, perpendicular, or diagonal spaces, and higher trims add a surround-view camera system and blind-spot monitor.
• Infotainment: The G80 uses a discreet 27-inch OLED display for the digital instrumentation and infotainment touchscreen. Wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto are standard, and the system includes three years of complimentary connected services, five years of navigation map updates, and a three-month trial for Wi-Fi hotspot and SiriusXM.
• Fuel efficiency: The 3.5T is rated at 18 mpg combined, while the 2.5T is rated at 23 mpg combined.

Which 2026 Genesis G80 trim should I buy?

The 2026 Genesis G80 is offered in 5 trim levels: base, Advanced, Sport Prestige, Prestige Black, and base.

Here's the short version:

• base: This is the entry point if you want the G80’s core luxury look and feel at the lowest price, but it skips the Bang & Olufsen premium audio system found on the higher trims.
• Advanced: This is the best-value choice if you want a stronger mix of luxury and equipment without jumping all the way to the pricier sport-focused trims.
• Sport Prestige: This is the sweet spot for many shoppers because it layers in the richer equipment and the more complete luxury presentation that suits the G80’s character best.
• Prestige Black: Choose this if you want the most upscale, distinctive presentation in the lineup and are willing to pay for it.

The safety package note to keep in mind is that Highway Driving Assist is standard, but it showed some quirks in testing, so you should verify that it behaves properly on your test drive.

Is the 2026 Genesis G80 safe?

The 2026 Genesis G80 earns a Top Safety Pick+ from the IIHS and a five-star overall rating from NHTSA.

It earns an 8/10 safety score from our experts.

The G80’s driver-assistance suite centers on Highway Driving Assist, which combines adaptive cruise control, lane-centering assist, and lane-change assist for single-lane highway driving. It also includes Remote Smart Parking Assist 2, and higher trims add a surround-view camera system and blind-spot monitoring with camera-based blind-spot imagery.

There is a caveat to keep in mind: Highway Driving Assist was effective overall, but it showed some unexpected behavior during testing, including trouble accelerating through a curve and continuing a lane-change attempt after the driver had already completed it.

Should I buy a 2026 Genesis G80 or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2026 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2026 if:

• 36.2% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Accident-free inventory is excellent at 96.6% — clean inventory, standard diligence applies.
• It emphasizes old-school elegance, premium materials, and impressive technology in a traditional luxury-sedan package.

Consider the 2025 if:

• It offers strong value, premium materials, and a sophisticated, feature-rich luxury feel.

The bottom line: If you want the most current version of the G80’s refined luxury formula, the 2026 is the better default choice. If your priority is stretching your budget, the 2025 is the more price-sensitive path and still delivers much of the same appeal.
