CarGurus Analysis: 2026 Genesis G70
Summary
With 869 currently listed for sale and an average price of $39,498, 39.4% of 2026 Genesis G70 listings on CarGurus are rated as good or great deals.
92.5% of 2026 Genesis G70 listings on CarGurus are accident free.
Why it stands out
The 2026 Genesis G70 stands out as a premium sport sedan that was built to challenge established luxury nameplates while offering a lower price than many of its rivals. Genesis positioned it around sporty driving dynamics, stylish design, and attractive pricing, and those traits remain central to its appeal. It also brings a luxury-focused cabin, advanced safety tech, and easy-to-use technology, which helps it feel well rounded rather than narrowly performance-focused.
For 2026, Genesis simplified the model lineup and dropped some options, but the G70 still emphasizes the qualities that have defined it from the start. The current car’s available 2.5T powertrain starts at 300 hp, and Brembo brakes are standard. Earlier in its life, the G70 was known for a manual transmission, but that option was dropped, leaving the sedan fully automatic. Buyers looking at the G70 are also likely to appreciate that used examples generally cost less than comparable BMW 3 Series or Mercedes-Benz C-Class models of similar vintage.
There are a few tradeoffs to keep in mind. The G70’s back seat is cramped, cargo space is limited, and fuel economy is poor with the V6. Even so, its combination of style, driving enjoyment, and value makes the 2026 Genesis G70 a distinctive choice in the luxury sport-sedan class.
