New & Used 2026 Dodge Charger for Sale nearCedar Rapids, IA

Is the 2026 Dodge Charger a good car?

The 2026 Dodge Charger earns an expert rating of 7.2/10. The standout strength is Performance at 9/10.

It’s a modern take on the American muscle-car formula, and the data backs that up: you get 550 horsepower and 531 pound-feet of torque from a turbocharged SIXPACK High Output inline-six, plus standard all-wheel drive and drive modes that keep burnouts, drifting, and donuts part of the experience. It also offers both two- and four-door body styles, so you get more flexibility than you might expect from a car with this much performance focus.

The trade-offs are clear: poor visibility, large exterior dimensions, and interior materials that feel cheap. That means you’re buying it for power, personality, and presence first, not for broad family-car appeal.

With 37.5% of listings priced as good or great deals, the market gives you some room to shop selectively.

Is the 2026 Dodge Charger reliable?

The 2026 Dodge Charger is presented as a new-generation model with no crashworthiness testing yet from the major safety organizations, so you should approach long-term ownership with normal used-car caution. The expert data emphasizes that the turbocharged inline-six delivers strong power throughout its rev range, and the standard all-wheel-drive setup helps put that power down cleanly.

The performance notes also suggest a car built to handle hard use: the standard Brembo brakes are described as strong and consistent, and the chassis is tuned to stay planted while still riding well for its capability level. On the cost side, the data does not point to any special maintenance perk, so you should plan for the usual ownership costs that come with a high-output performance car.

For used buyers, the main long-term risk is that this is a powerful, complex car with a performance-first mission, so condition, maintenance history, and careful inspection matter more than they would on a mainstream sedan.

What should I look for when buying a used 2026 Dodge Charger?

Accident-free inventory is excellent at 100% — clean inventory, standard diligence applies.

Even with clean inventory, you should still run a history report and inspect the car closely before you buy. Pay extra attention to tire wear, brake condition, wheel and body damage, and any signs that the car has been driven hard or modified. Because the Charger is large and performance-focused, condition matters as much as mileage.

Key things to evaluate:

• Trim level: The Charger’s design emphasizes its wide stance, long body, and muscle-car styling, while the cabin is spacious and modern. The two-door version has especially long doors, and the four-door shape is the more practical choice if you want easier everyday use.
• Powertrain: You’re looking at a turbocharged SIXPACK High Output inline-six with 550 horsepower and 531 pound-feet of torque, standard all-wheel drive, an eight-speed automatic, Launch Control, and Line Lock. The car also has a rear-wheel-drive mode for drifting and donuts, so you should inspect it with performance use in mind.
• Safety package: Active Driving Assist is standard and can manage acceleration and braking while helping keep the car centered in its lane. Standard equipment also includes Forward Collision Warning, Automatic Emergency Braking with Vulnerable Road Users Detection, Active Lane Management, Adaptive Cruise Control with Stop and Go, Blind-spot Monitoring with Rear Cross Path detection, Traffic Sign Recognition, and Drowsy Driver Detection. The Scat Pack Plus adds Turn Signal Active Blind Spot View and a 360-degree camera with additional views.
• Infotainment: The cabin includes a 12.3-inch touchscreen, a 10.25-inch digital instrument cluster, wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, and Uconnect 5. Plus models add a wireless charging pad and built-in navigation.
• Fuel efficiency: The data does not provide an MPG figure.

The safety package is standard on the Scat Pack, while the Scat Pack Plus adds Turn Signal Active Blind Spot View and a 360-degree camera with additional views if you want easier parking and more visibility help.

Choose the 2026 if:

• 37.5% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Accident-free inventory is excellent at 100% — clean inventory, standard diligence applies.
• It stands out as a uniquely powerful and potentially practical American muscle car for the right buyer.
