How much does the 2026 BMW 4 Series cost?

Prices have softened 7.88% compared to this time last year, making it a favorable time to shop this model year.

There are 830 listings available, which gives you a solid amount of inventory to compare before you buy.

Is the 2026 BMW 4 Series a good car?

Yes — 5/5 is a strong user rating for the 2026 BMW 4 Series. It stands out for blending premium equipment, strong performance, and a design that is deliberately more distinctive than the related sedan. You also get a well-rounded mix of power and technology, plus a long list of standard features that make it appealing if you want a used luxury coupe or convertible with a clear identity. 39.6% of listings are priced as good or great deals, which gives you a decent chance of finding a competitive offer.

Is the 2026 BMW 4 Series reliable?

Owners rate it 5/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

The 2026 BMW 4 Series is described as a familiar BMW underneath, with most of its mechanical and interior parts shared with the contemporary 3 Series. It also comes with a well-established eight-speed automatic and a broadly familiar equipment set, which can be reassuring if you want a premium car without a lot of novelty in the basics. For used buyers, the main long-term ownership risk is that premium positioning can make upkeep and repairs more expensive than you might expect.

What should I look for when buying a used 2026 BMW 4 Series?

Accident-free inventory is excellent at 94.6% — clean inventory, standard diligence applies.

You should still run a vehicle history report and verify that the car’s condition matches the listing photos and description. Prioritize a pre-purchase inspection, especially if you are considering a higher-priced example or one with more wear from regular use. Focus on signs of cosmetic damage, tire and brake condition, and whether the equipment and technology all work as expected.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2026 BMW 4 Series?

This looks like a moderate market for selective buyers, with enough inventory and deal activity to reward careful shopping.

• Deal availability: 39.6% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 830 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 7.88% compared with last year.
• Clean inventory: 94.6% of listings are accident-free.

If you find a listing below $53,576, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2026 BMW 4 Series's resale value?

The current average of $53,576 sits slightly below last year's $58,158.

That price movement suggests the market has cooled, which can help you buy more carefully now but may also mean future resale gains are harder to count on. If you plan to sell later, the current pricing trend points to a model that may hold value best when it is well kept and priced competitively. Strong demand for a distinctive premium coupe or convertible can still support resale, especially if the car presents well and has clean history.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 5/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2026 BMW 4 Series or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2026 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2026 if:

• 39.6% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Accident-free inventory is excellent at 94.6% — clean inventory, standard diligence applies.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 7.88% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 5/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.

The bottom line: The 2026 is the better choice if you want the current-year mix of strong pricing, solid inventory, and high owner satisfaction. If you are especially price-sensitive, a nearby model year may still be worth considering, but the 2026 gives you a compelling balance of value and availability right now.
