Is the 2025 BMW 4 Series a good car?

The 2025 BMW 4 Series stands out for blending premium equipment, strong performance, and a distinctive design that is more dramatic than the related sedan. It is also a familiar BMW underneath, since it shares most of its mechanical and interior parts with the contemporary 3 Series.

For you, that means the appeal is not just style; it also brings a high level of standard equipment and a strong tech list. It is a good fit if you want a luxury coupe or convertible with broad appeal for drivers who value power and a polished driving experience, though the styling is intentionally divisive.

34.5% of listings are priced as good or great deals, which gives you a meaningful share of market opportunities to compare.

Is the 2025 BMW 4 Series reliable?

The 2025 BMW 4 Series stands out for blending premium equipment, strong performance, and a distinctive design that is more dramatic than the related sedan. It also shares most of its mechanical and interior parts with the contemporary 3 Series, which points to a familiar BMW formula rather than an experimental one.

For used buyers, that usually means you should expect the long-term ownership risk to come more from condition, maintenance history, and how the car was driven than from the basic concept itself.

What should I look for when buying a used 2025 BMW 4 Series?

Accident-free inventory is excellent at 90.3% — clean inventory, standard diligence applies.

You should still run a history report and verify that the car’s condition matches the listing photos and description. Prioritize a pre-purchase inspection, especially if you are considering a higher-mileage example or a car with performance-oriented options. Focus on wear items, signs of cosmetic damage, and whether the equipment and electronics work as expected.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2025 BMW 4 Series?

This is a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you have room to shop carefully without expecting every listing to be a bargain.

• Deal availability: 34.5% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 1,321 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 5.85% compared with last year.
• Clean inventory: 90.3% of listings are accident-free.

If you find a listing below $46,832, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2025 BMW 4 Series's resale value?

The current average of $46,869 sits slightly below last year's $49,778.

That price movement suggests the market has cooled enough to give you a better entry point than a year ago. If you buy well now and keep the car in strong condition, you may have a better chance of limiting depreciation pressure later. For a future seller, the key will be how well the car is maintained and how closely it matches what shoppers want in a premium coupe or convertible.

Should I buy a 2025 BMW 4 Series or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2025 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2025 if:

• 34.5% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Accident-free inventory is excellent at 90.3% — clean inventory, standard diligence applies.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 5.85% compared with last year.

The bottom line: The 2025 is the better primary choice if you want the freshest version of this formula and you value the updated equipment and styling. If you are more price-sensitive, a nearby model year may be worth a look, especially if you can find a cleaner example with a lower asking price.
