New & Used 2026 Audi Q5 for Sale nearNew Haven, CT

Is the 2026 Audi Q5 a good car?

The 2026 Audi Q5 earns a 6.5/10 expert rating. The model scores 8/10 across Performance, Technology, and Safety.

It leans heavily on technology to stay relevant in the compact luxury SUV class, and it still delivers a refined ride and confident performance. For you, that means the Q5 covers the basics expected in this segment and should appeal if you value an easy-to-use infotainment setup and a polished driving experience.

The trade-offs are real: the interior materials are called out as cheap, ergonomic issues are part of the package, and the high price makes the cabin feel less convincing than it should. Even so, the Q5 remains competent rather than especially compelling, and 37.5% of listings are priced as good or great deals.

Is the 2026 Audi Q5 reliable?

The 2026 Audi Q5 is presented as a polished, well-equipped SUV with a refined ride and strong day-to-day drivability, which supports a generally reassuring ownership experience. Its turbocharged four-cylinder is described as muted, with turbo lag and vibration kept to an absolute minimum, and the cabin is engineered for stability and comfort.

Audi also includes three years or 30,000 miles of scheduled maintenance with every new car, which helps reduce early ownership costs. For used buyers, the main long-term risk is that the Q5’s expensive, tech-heavy cabin and premium pricing could make repairs or out-of-warranty upkeep more painful than the driving experience suggests.

What should I look for when buying a used 2026 Audi Q5?

Accident-free inventory is excellent at 98% — clean inventory, standard diligence applies.

You should still run a history report and prioritize a thorough inspection, especially if you’re shopping higher-mileage examples or cars with lots of cabin wear. Focus on the condition of the screens, controls, and interior trim, since the cabin’s materials and ergonomics are a known weak point.

Key things to evaluate:

• Trim level: The Premium trim lacks the passenger-side screen found on Prestige models, while the Premium Plus adds more advanced driver-assistance features. If you want the most complete tech and convenience setup, the Prestige is the most fully equipped choice.
• Powertrain: Every Q5 uses a 2.0-liter turbocharged inline-four with 268 horsepower and 295 pound-feet of torque, paired with quattro all-wheel drive and a seven-speed dual-clutch automatic. It’s smooth and quiet, but you may notice some delay from a stop and occasional lurching at parking-lot speeds.
• Safety package: Standard equipment includes automatic emergency braking, lane-departure warning, blind spot monitors, front and rear parking sensors, and adaptive cruise control. Premium Plus adds forward cross-traffic alert, braking, evasive steering assist, and lane-keep assist through Adaptive Cruise Assist, while rear emergency braking is available on Prestige.
• Infotainment: A 14.5-inch touchscreen and 11.9-inch digital instrument cluster are standard, with a third 10.9-inch passenger touchscreen on Prestige trims. Wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto are supported, and Audi uses Google built-in apps.
• Fuel efficiency: The Q5 is EPA-rated at 21 mpg city, 29 mpg highway, and 24 mpg combined.

Which 2026 Audi Q5 trim should I buy?

The 2026 Audi Q5 is offered in 3 trim levels: Premium, Premium Plus, Prestige.

Here's the short version:

• Premium: This is the entry point, and it gives you the core Q5 experience with the standard powertrain, all-wheel drive, and the main infotainment setup. It makes sense if you want the least expensive way into the model and can live without the extra luxury and driver-assistance features.
• Premium Plus: This is the best-value trim for most shoppers because it adds meaningful safety and convenience upgrades, including forward cross-traffic alert, braking, evasive steering assist, and lane-keep assist. If you want the strongest balance of equipment and price, this is the one to target.
• Prestige: This is the most luxurious and tech-heavy version, adding the passenger-side screen, Park Assist Pro, rear emergency braking, and air springs. Choose it if you want the fullest feature set and don’t mind paying for it.

The safety package is strongest on Premium Plus and Prestige, while the base trim leaves out some of the more advanced driver-assistance features.
