New & Used 2026 Audi Q5 for Sale nearChula Vista, CA

Is the 2026 Audi Q5 a good car?

The 2026 Audi Q5 earns a 6.5/10 expert rating. The model scores 8/10 across Performance, Technology, and Safety.

It leans heavily on screens and tech to stay competitive in the compact luxury SUV class, while also delivering a refined ride and confident performance. It also brings a good amount of standard equipment, so it covers the basics you expect in this segment.

The trade-offs are real: cheap interior materials and ergonomic issues undercut the cabin, and the high price makes those shortcomings harder to ignore. For you, that means the Q5 makes the most sense if you value an easy-to-use infotainment setup and a polished driving experience more than interior richness.

Good and great deals account for 33.0% of listings, which gives you some room to shop selectively.

Is the 2026 Audi Q5 reliable?

The 2026 Audi Q5 is presented as a polished, tech-forward compact luxury SUV, and its driving hardware is described as smooth, quiet, and stable. The turbocharged 2.0-liter engine is said to keep lag and vibration to a minimum, and the cabin is described as hushed with a comfortable ride.

Audi also includes three years or 30,000 miles of scheduled maintenance with every new car, which helps soften early ownership costs. That said, the same materials and packaging issues that affect the cabin can make the Q5 feel less convincing than its price suggests, so long-term ownership risk for used buyers is more about living with the interior and value equation than about standout mechanical drama.

What should I look for when buying a used 2026 Audi Q5?

Accident-free inventory is excellent at 97.9% — clean inventory, standard diligence applies.

You should still run a history report and prioritize a pre-purchase inspection, especially if you’re considering a higher-trim example with more equipment to verify. Focus on cabin condition, screen operation, and whether the vehicle’s features and trim-specific hardware all work as expected.

Key things to evaluate:

• Trim level: The Premium trim lacks the passenger-side display found on the Prestige, while the Premium Plus adds more driver-assistance equipment and the Prestige adds the third screen and additional convenience features. The base cabin also leaves you with a lot of blank, shiny black plastic where the passenger display would otherwise be.
• Powertrain: Every Q5 uses a 2.0-liter turbocharged inline-four with 268 horsepower and 295 pound-feet of torque, paired with quattro all-wheel drive and a seven-speed dual-clutch automatic. The setup is smooth and quiet, but it can hesitate from a stop and feel a bit lurchy at parking-lot speeds.
• Safety package: Standard equipment includes automatic emergency braking, lane-departure warning, blind spot monitors, front and rear parking sensors, adaptive cruise control, a center frontal airbag, and rear side airbags. Forward cross-traffic alert and braking, evasive steering assist, and lane-keep assist are added on the Premium Plus, while rear emergency braking is available on the Prestige.
• Infotainment: A 14.5-inch touchscreen and an 11.9-inch digital instrument cluster are standard, with a 10.9-inch passenger touchscreen on Prestige trims. Wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto are supported, and Audi uses Google built-in apps.
• Fuel efficiency: The Q5 is EPA-rated at 21 mpg city and 29 mpg highway.

Which 2026 Audi Q5 trim should I buy?

The 2026 Audi Q5 is offered in 3 trim levels: Premium, Premium Plus, Prestige.

Here's the short version:

• Premium: This is the entry point, and it gives you the core Q5 experience with the standard screens, all-wheel drive, and the main safety and tech features. It makes sense if you want the Q5’s fundamentals without paying for extras you may not use.
• Premium Plus: This is the best-value trim because it adds meaningful driver-assistance upgrades, including forward cross-traffic alert, braking, evasive steering assist, and lane-keep assist. If you want the most useful safety and convenience gains without jumping to the highest price, this is the one to target.
• Prestige: This trim adds the passenger-side screen, rear emergency braking, and the most feature-rich version of the cabin. It suits you best if you want the fullest tech experience and are willing to pay for it.

The safety package expands meaningfully as you move up the range, especially on the Premium Plus and Prestige.
