Should I buy a 2025 Toyota Tacoma or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2025 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2025 if:

• 36.8% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Accident-free inventory is excellent at 93.6% — clean inventory, standard diligence applies.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 5.92% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 5/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.

Consider the 2024 if:

• At $37,955, the 2024 costs less than the current year's $39,227 average.
• It offers a redesigned fourth-generation foundation with strong reliability and off-road capability.

Consider the 2026 if:

• It offers broad configuration flexibility with multiple cab, bed, and powertrain choices.

The bottom line: You should start with the 2025 if you want the newest version of the Tacoma formula and are comfortable paying a bit more for it. If price matters most, the 2024 is the better value-oriented alternative, while the 2026 makes sense if you want to compare broader configuration options before deciding.
