Used 2025 Toyota Sequoia for Sale nearRedding, CA

How much does the 2025 Toyota Sequoia cost?

Prices have softened 7.75% compared to this time last year, making it a favorable time to shop this model year.

There are 1,301 listings available, which gives you a solid pool of options to compare.

Is the 2025 Toyota Sequoia a good car?

Yes — the 2025 Toyota Sequoia earns a 4.5/5 user rating and a 5.5/10 expert rating. The model scores 8/10 across Look and feel and Technology.

It’s a full-size SUV that seats up to eight people, uses a truck-based platform, and brings strong towing capability along with easy-to-use technology. The trade-offs are just as clear: the third row is cramped, cargo space is limited for the class, and the ride can feel truck-like.

Cons: poor fuel economy and not much cargo space are the biggest compromises, and the cramped third row limits family flexibility.

For you, that means the Sequoia makes the most sense if you want full-size SUV capability and an upscale presentation more than maximum interior space efficiency. 35.0% of listings are priced as good or great deals, which suggests there are still worthwhile opportunities if you shop carefully.

Is the 2025 Toyota Sequoia reliable?

Owners rate it 4.5/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

The Sequoia’s hybrid powertrain is built around a twin-turbocharged V6, an electric motor, and a 10-speed automatic, and the expert evaluation describes it as muscular with quick acceleration. The same assessment also notes that the hybrid is aimed at competitive power rather than good gas mileage.

Toyota’s ownership pitch is helped by the fact that the Sequoia is a mainstream, truck-based SUV with standard modern equipment, which can make day-to-day use feel straightforward. For used buyers, the main long-term risk is that the packaging compromises and heavy-duty hardware can make condition and maintenance history more important than on a simpler family SUV.

What should I look for when buying a used 2025 Toyota Sequoia?

Accident-free inventory is excellent at 95.4% — clean inventory, standard diligence applies.

You should still run a history report and prioritize a pre-purchase inspection, especially if the truck has been used for towing or frequent family hauling. Focus on cabin wear, third-row condition, and signs that the vehicle has been asked to do more than commute. If you’re shopping a higher-trim example, make sure the added equipment works as intended and that the vehicle’s condition matches its asking price.

Key things to evaluate:

• Trim level: The lineup includes SR5, Limited, Platinum, TRD Pro, Capstone, and the 1794 Edition. The 1794 Edition adds machined-finish 20-inch wheels, more exterior chrome, Saddle Tan leather upholstery, open pore American walnut wood trim, and all-weather floor mats over the Platinum, while the cabin still shows plenty of typical Toyota-grade plastic. That makes the 1794 Edition the most distinctive luxury-leaning choice, but you should judge whether the extra appearance and material upgrades are worth the premium.
• Powertrain: The standard i-Force Max hybrid pairs a twin-turbocharged 3.4-liter V6, an electric motor, a 1.87-kilowatt-hour nickel metal hydride battery pack, and a 10-speed automatic. Output is 437 horsepower and 583 pound-feet of torque, and the setup is described as muscular with quick acceleration. It’s built for strong performance, not strong fuel economy.
• Safety package: Toyota Safety Sense 2.5 includes adaptive cruise control, forward collision warning with pedestrian detection, automatic emergency braking, lane departure warning, lane keep assist, lane-centering assist, and automatic high-beam headlights. Blind-spot monitoring and rear cross-traffic alert are also standard. The lane-assist features can be intrusive, so test them on your route before you buy.
• Infotainment: The test vehicle had a 14-inch touchscreen and a 12.3-inch digital instrument panel. Wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto are standard, and the system supports connected services, cloud-based navigation, remote engine starting, and a wireless charging pad. The wireless charger doesn’t hold phones securely, so check that detail if you rely on it.
• Fuel efficiency: The expert evaluation says the Sequoia should average 20 mpg in combined driving with 4WD, but the test vehicle returned 16.2 mpg on the evaluation loop. That gap is worth keeping in mind if fuel costs matter to you.

Which 2025 Toyota Sequoia trim should I buy?

The 2025 Toyota Sequoia is offered in 6 trim levels: SR5, Limited, Platinum, TRD Pro, Capstone, and 1794 Edition.

Here’s the short version:

• SR5: This is the entry point if you want the Sequoia’s core full-size SUV capability without paying for the luxury extras. It gives you the same basic family-hauling and towing mission, but you’ll be giving up the richer materials and added visual polish found higher up the range.
• Limited: This is the trim to consider if you want a more balanced mix of equipment and value. It should be the best-value choice for many shoppers because it moves you beyond the base setup without pushing you into the highest-priced luxury territory.
• Platinum: This is the step up if you want a more upscale feel before the lineup gets into the specialty trims. It serves as the foundation for the 1794 Edition, so it’s the right place to start if you want a premium Sequoia without the Texas-themed styling.
• TRD Pro: This is the trim for buyers who want the most rugged-looking Sequoia in the lineup. The content points to off-road-oriented hardware and a more adventurous setup, so it suits you if appearance and trail-focused equipment matter more than luxury touches.
• Capstone: This is the top-end luxury choice if you want the most premium positioning in the lineup. It’s the trim to look at if you want the Sequoia at its most upscale without the 1794 Edition’s specific theme.
• 1794 Edition: This is the most distinctive luxury-flavored trim, with Saddle Tan leather, walnut wood trim, chrome accents, and 20-inch wheels. It’s the right pick if you want the most character and the richest cabin presentation, but it also carries the strongest style-first personality.

Toyota Safety Sense 2.5 is standard across the lineup, along with blind-spot monitoring and rear cross-traffic alert.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2025 Toyota Sequoia?

This is a moderate market for selective buyers, so you can shop with some leverage if you’re patient.

• Deal availability: 35.0% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 1,301 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 7.75% compared with last year.
• Clean inventory: 95.4% of listings are accident-free.

If you find a listing below $70,880, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2025 Toyota Sequoia's resale value?

The current average of $70,880 sits slightly below last year's $76,835.

That decline suggests the market has already adjusted downward, which can help you as a buyer today but may temper near-term resale upside if you plan to sell soon. If you buy at the right price, you reduce the risk of taking the steepest part of the depreciation hit. The Sequoia’s strong towing and full-size SUV appeal should still support demand among shoppers who need its specific strengths.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.5/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Is the 2025 Toyota Sequoia safe?

The 2025 Sequoia has Toyota Safety Sense 2.5, a collection of driving assistance features that includes adaptive cruise control, forward collision warning with pedestrian detection, automatic emergency braking, lane departure warning, lane keep assist, lane-centering assist, and automatic high-beam headlights.

It earns a 5/10 safety score from our experts.

Blind-spot monitoring and rear cross-traffic alert are also standard, and the system gives you the core modern safety tech you’d expect in a large SUV. The main caveat is that the lane-assist features can be annoying in practice, with false warnings and overly obvious intervention.

Should I buy a 2025 Toyota Sequoia or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2025 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2025 if:

• 35.0% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Accident-free inventory is excellent at 95.4% — clean inventory, standard diligence applies.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 7.75% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4.5/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.
• The 2025 adds the 1794 Edition, a Texas-themed luxury model that broadens the lineup’s appeal.

Consider the 2024 if:

• At $66,246, the 2024 costs less than the current year's $70,880 average.
• It offers standard hybrid power with a strong feature set.

The bottom line: If you want the newest version with the 1794 Edition and a softer market price than last year, the 2025 is the better target. If your priority is spending less up front, the 2024 is the smarter value play and still gives you the Sequoia’s core hybrid capability.
