Is the 2025 Toyota Highlander reliable?

The 2025 Toyota Highlander has a strong reputation for reliability, and that reputation is a major part of its appeal. It is built around Toyota’s familiar formula of comfort, practicality, and easy day-to-day ownership, which makes it a reassuring choice for used buyers.

What should I look for when buying a used 2025 Toyota Highlander?

Accident-free inventory is excellent at 92.2% — clean inventory, standard diligence applies.

You should still run a vehicle history report and verify that the listing matches the seller’s claims about ownership, maintenance, and prior damage. A pre-purchase inspection is worth prioritizing, especially if you are considering a higher-mileage example or one with a long service history. Focus on overall condition, interior wear, tire condition, and how well the vehicle’s comfort-oriented setup has been maintained.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2025 Toyota Highlander?

This looks like a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you can shop with some leverage if you are patient and compare listings carefully.

• Deal availability: 36.2% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 1,801 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 8.89% compared with last year.
• Clean inventory: 92.2% of listings are accident-free.

If you find a listing below $39,499, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2025 Toyota Highlander's resale value?

The current average of $42,487 sits slightly below last year's $46,635.

That price movement suggests the market has cooled, which can help you buy at a more favorable point today. For a future seller, it also means resale value may depend heavily on condition, mileage, and how well the vehicle has been maintained. A clean, well-documented Highlander should still hold appeal because the model’s reputation for practicality and reliability remains a strong selling point.

Should I buy a 2025 Toyota Highlander or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2025 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2025 if:

• 36.2% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Accident-free inventory is excellent at 92.2% — clean inventory, standard diligence applies.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 8.89% compared with last year.

The bottom line: The 2025 Highlander is the better choice if you want a comfortable, practical, and proven midsize SUV with strong inventory quality and a softer price trend than last year. If you are especially price-sensitive, you may also want to compare nearby model years to see whether a lower entry price outweighs the 2025’s current market position and cleaner listing mix.
