Used 2025 Subaru Forester Hybrid for Sale nearFlint, MI

How much does the 2025 Subaru Forester Hybrid cost?

Prices have softened 6.81% compared to this time last year, making it a favorable time to shop this model year.

There are 549 listings available, which suggests a modest but workable amount of inventory for shoppers.

Is the 2025 Subaru Forester Hybrid a good car?

The 2025 Subaru Forester Hybrid earns an expert rating of 7/10.

The standout strength is Safety at 8/10.

It’s a more efficient take on Subaru’s rugged compact SUV, and it adds more power plus a few extra features while keeping the Forester’s all-weather, terrain-tackling character. That makes it a strong fit if you want everyday usability with a greener, more modern feel.

The trade-offs are that performance is fairly pedestrian and the ride quality can feel firm, so it won’t be the best choice if you want something especially quick or polished.

The market also looks reasonably supportive, with 33.3% of listings priced as good or great deals.

Is the 2025 Subaru Forester Hybrid reliable?

The 2025 Subaru Forester Hybrid is presented as a well-sorted hybrid system that behaves much like the gas-only Forester, with smooth transitions between electric and engine power and consistent brake feel.

Its off-road hardware and standard all-wheel drive add confidence for rougher conditions, while the cabin materials are chosen with durability in mind, especially in the rear seat area.

The first scheduled maintenance visit is on the house.

For used buyers, the main long-term ownership risk is that a firmer ride and hybrid complexity can make condition and maintenance history especially important to verify before you buy.

What should I look for when buying a used 2025 Subaru Forester Hybrid?

Accident-free inventory is excellent at 96.2% — clean inventory, standard diligence applies.

You should still run a vehicle history report and prioritize a pre-purchase inspection, especially if you’re considering a higher-mileage example or one that may have seen rough weather or trail use. Focus on tire wear, suspension condition, brake feel, and signs that the cabin and cargo area have been used hard.

Key things to evaluate:

• Trim level: The redesign gives the Forester a more cohesive look, but it also loses some distinctiveness, and the hybrid adds only subtle badges. The cabin is more modern thanks to the large vertical touchscreen and digital instrument panel, while the top trim adds ventilation for the front seats and heated outboard rear seats.
• Powertrain: All Hybrid Foresters use a 2.5-liter flat four-cylinder boxer engine with two motor/generators and a 1.1-kWh lithium-ion battery pack. Combined output is 194 horsepower, and the standard all-wheel drive system is designed to deliver better traction and more consistent reactions when off-roading.
• Safety package: Subaru’s EyeSight suite is standard, and it includes frontal collision warning with automatic emergency braking, adaptive cruise control, lane-keep assist, rear automatic braking, and automatic high beams. A driver attention monitor is included on the top Touring trim.
• Infotainment: Every Hybrid Forester gets an 11.6-inch vertical touchscreen with built-in navigation, Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, a WiFi hotspot, and a simple interface with large on-screen buttons. Higher trims add an 11-speaker Harman Kardon premium audio system.
• Fuel efficiency: The hybrid is estimated at up to 35 mpg in the city, 34 mpg on the highway, and 35 mpg combined, with owners expected to save about $300 per year in fuel costs.

Which 2025 Subaru Forester Hybrid trim should I buy?

The 2025 Subaru Forester Hybrid is offered in 2 trim levels: Premium and Touring.

Here's the short version:

• Premium: This is the value-focused choice if you want the hybrid powertrain, standard all-wheel drive, the 11.6-inch touchscreen, and the full EyeSight safety suite without stretching to the top trim. It gives you the core Forester Hybrid experience at the lower entry point.
• Touring: This is the better pick if you want the most comfort and convenience, including the top-trim upgrades called out in the cabin and safety content. It’s the one to choose if you want the most complete version of the Forester Hybrid.

The safety package is standard across the lineup, with the driver attention monitor reserved for the Touring trim.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2025 Subaru Forester Hybrid?

This looks like a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you have room to shop carefully without waiting for a dramatic bargain.

• Deal availability: 33.3% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 549 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 6.81% compared with last year.
• Clean inventory: 96.2% of listings are accident-free.

If you find a listing below $35,841, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2025 Subaru Forester Hybrid's resale value?

The current average of $35,841 sits slightly below last year's $38,460.

That price movement suggests the model has softened enough to help you buy more favorably today than a year ago. If you’re planning to sell later, the current market indicates you may not see the same level of pricing strength that was available last year.

For a future seller, the good news is that the Forester Hybrid’s efficiency, standard all-wheel drive, and broad usefulness should help it stay appealing to used shoppers. The caution is that resale value will still depend heavily on condition, mileage, and whether the vehicle has been kept clean and well maintained.

Is the 2025 Subaru Forester Hybrid safe?

The 2025 Subaru Forester Hybrid earns five-star ratings in every NHTSA evaluation except rollover protection, where it earns a four-star rating.

It earns an 8/10 safety score from our experts.

Subaru’s EyeSight suite is standard, and it includes frontal collision warning with automatic emergency braking, adaptive cruise control, lane-keep assist, rear automatic braking, and automatic high beams. A driver attention monitor is included on the top Touring trim.

One caveat is that the IIHS had not published separate results for the hybrid at the time referenced, though the non-hybrid Forester earned strong marks overall and an IIHS Top Safety Pick award.

Should I buy a 2025 Subaru Forester Hybrid or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2025 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2025 if:

• 33.3% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Accident-free inventory is excellent at 96.2% — clean inventory, standard diligence applies.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 6.81% compared with last year.
• The redesigned hybrid adds efficiency, more power, and a few extra features to Subaru’s rugged compact SUV.

The bottom line: If you want the most current Forester Hybrid with the strongest mix of efficiency, capability, and standard safety, the 2025 is the primary path to consider. If you’re especially price-sensitive, you can still shop carefully and focus on listings near the low end of the range, where the softened market may give you the best value.
