How much does the 2025 Subaru Crosstrek cost?

Prices have softened 5.04% compared to this time last year, making it a favorable time to shop this model year.

There are 6,711 listings available, which suggests solid inventory for comparison shopping.

Is the 2025 Subaru Crosstrek a good car?

The 2025 Subaru Crosstrek stands out because it keeps the formula that made the nameplate successful: a simple, practical subcompact crossover with standard all-wheel drive, generous ground clearance, protective bodywork, and pedestal-style roof rails. It is based on the Subaru Impreza hatchback, and that car-like foundation helps explain why the Crosstrek feels like a straightforward daily driver rather than a complicated SUV.

That makes it appealing if you want a small crossover with real utility and winter confidence rather than a flashy one. The tradeoff is that the base engine is described as underpowered, and the CVT can bring noise and droning.

33.8% of listings are priced as good or great deals, which gives you a decent chance to find a competitive offer.

Is the 2025 Subaru Crosstrek reliable?

The 2025 Subaru Crosstrek stands out because it keeps the formula that made the nameplate successful: a simple, practical subcompact crossover with standard all-wheel drive, generous ground clearance, protective bodywork, and pedestal-style roof rails. It is based on the Subaru Impreza hatchback, and that car-like foundation helps explain why the Crosstrek feels like a straightforward daily driver rather than a complicated SUV.

That simplicity is a plus if you want a used vehicle that is easy to live with and built around familiar mechanical choices. For long-term ownership, you should still plan for the usual wear items and make sure the CVT and AWD system have been maintained properly.

What should I look for when buying a used 2025 Subaru Crosstrek?

Accident-free inventory is excellent at 91.8% — clean inventory, standard diligence applies.

You should still run a vehicle history report and verify that the car has a clean title and consistent service records. Put inspection priority on the drivetrain, tires, brakes, and any signs of uneven wear or prior body repair. Focus on overall condition, because a clean-looking listing can still hide deferred maintenance.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2025 Subaru Crosstrek?

This looks like a moderate market, so you can shop selectively without expecting every listing to be a bargain.

• Deal availability: 33.8% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 6,711 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 5.04% compared with last year.
• Clean inventory: 91.8% of listings are accident-free.

If you find a listing below $28,631, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2025 Subaru Crosstrek's resale value?

The current average of $28,631 sits slightly below last year's $30,149.

That price movement suggests the Crosstrek has softened enough to help you buy more carefully today. If you sell later, the current market level gives you a useful benchmark, but the recent decline means you should not expect a strong short-term appreciation story. For a future seller, condition and mileage will matter a lot more than timing alone.

Should I buy a 2025 Subaru Crosstrek or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2025 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2025 if:

• 33.8% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Accident-free inventory is excellent at 91.8% — clean inventory, standard diligence applies.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 5.04% compared with last year.

Consider the 2024 if:

• At $26,169, the 2024 costs less than the current year's $28,631 average.
• It offers multiple engine options and a new Wilderness trim for added versatility.

The bottom line: Buy the 2025 if you want the newer model-year pricing context and strong clean-inventory availability. If you are price-sensitive, the 2024 is the better value path because it costs less and still delivers the Crosstrek’s core all-wheel-drive practicality.
