CarGurus Analysis: 2025 Subaru BRZ
Summary
With 139 currently listed for sale and an average price of $32,883, 28.8% of 2025 Subaru BRZ listings on CarGurus are rated as good or great deals.
Favorably reviewed: Owners rated the 2025 Subaru BRZ 5 / 5 stars.
91.4% of 2025 Subaru BRZ listings on CarGurus are accident free.
Why it stands out
The 2025 Subaru BRZ stands out as a rear-wheel-drive sports coupe that keeps its focus on balance, driver involvement, and value rather than straight-line speed. It offers a manual transmission, and its appeal comes from being fun to drive, with crisp handling and a well-balanced chassis. At the same time, it remains a relatively economical choice for buyers who want a rewarding sports car without spending heavily.
For 2025, the BRZ keeps the Premium, Limited, and tS trim levels and adds a new BRZ Series.Purple limited to 500 units. That special edition brings a Galaxy Purple Pearl exterior, 18-inch alloy wheels in a satin silver finish, Ultrasuede front seats with gray bolsters, the Subaru STI logo on the red starter push-button start and aluminum shifter knob, a standard STI short-throw shifter, and a Flexible V-Bar underhood for improved performance. The BRZ’s strengths are its engaging driving character and available modern conveniences, but its limitations are also clear: the back seat is cramped, the technology is described as outdated, and power is limited.

For RWD sporty car you can't go wrong with this car, it's hard to beat the price, in the low 30k range out the door, it's still got a REAL hand brake, and very fun to drive

Is the 2025 Subaru BRZ a good car?
Yes — 5/5 is a strong user rating for the 2025 Subaru BRZ, and it fits a car built around balance, driver involvement, and value rather than straight-line speed. The BRZ’s appeal comes from its rear-wheel-drive layout, manual transmission availability, crisp handling, and well-balanced chassis, so it makes the most sense if you want a rewarding sports coupe that stays relatively economical. Its limitations are also clear: the back seat is cramped, the technology is described as outdated, and power is limited. With 31.7% of listings marked as good or great deals, you have a meaningful share of the market to compare.
Is the 2025 Subaru BRZ reliable?
Owners rate it 5/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction. The 2025 Subaru BRZ is described as a focused sports coupe that emphasizes balance, driver involvement, and a relatively economical ownership experience for the segment. Its straightforward enthusiast formula can be appealing if you want a car that prioritizes driving feel over complexity. For used buyers, the main long-term ownership risk is that a car bought for fun may have been driven hard, so condition and maintenance history matter a lot.
What should I look for when buying a used 2025 Subaru BRZ?
Accident-free inventory is solid at 89.9% — always verify the vehicle history report. You should also prioritize a pre-purchase inspection that focuses on signs of hard use, since this is a sports coupe that may have been driven aggressively. Pay close attention to overall condition, especially the drivetrain, suspension, tires, and interior wear, because those details can tell you more about how the car was treated than mileage alone.
Is now a good time to buy a used 2025 Subaru BRZ?
This looks like a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you can shop carefully and still find worthwhile options.
- Deal availability: 31.7% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
- Inventory: There are 139 listings available.
- Clean inventory: 89.9% of listings are accident-free.
Should I buy a 2025 Subaru BRZ or consider a different year?
If you're weighing the 2025 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:
Choose the 2025 if:
- 31.7% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
- Accident-free inventory is solid at 89.9% — always verify the vehicle history report.
- Owners rate it 5/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.
The bottom line: The 2025 BRZ makes sense if you want a rear-wheel-drive sports coupe that prioritizes balance, engagement, and value. If you’re price-sensitive, a nearby model year may give you a lower entry point, but the 2025 is the better fit when you want the current-year version with a strong satisfaction signal and a decent share of deal-priced listings.
