Used 2025 Subaru Ascent for Sale nearAbingdon, VA

How much does the 2025 Subaru Ascent cost?

Prices have softened 11.41% compared to this time last year, making it a favorable time to shop this model year.

There are 2,396 listings available, which suggests solid inventory for comparison shopping.

Is the 2025 Subaru Ascent a good car?

The 2025 Subaru Ascent stands out as a family-focused midsize three-row SUV with standard all-wheel drive, seven- or eight-passenger seating, and a spacious interior. It also brings practical family-friendly touches, including rear doors that open to 75 degrees, 19 standard cup holders, three-zone automatic climate control, and available USB charging ports in the third row.

It adds useful capability with a 260-horsepower turbocharged engine, up to 5,000 pounds of towing capacity, and up to 72.8 cubic feet of cargo space with the seatbacks folded. The tradeoff is that fuel economy is not a standout and the third row is described as cramped.

With 33.8% of listings priced as good or great deals, you have a decent chance of finding a competitive offer.

Is the 2025 Subaru Ascent reliable?

The 2025 Subaru Ascent carries a strong safety reputation and has been an Insurance Institute for Highway Safety Top Safety Pick or Top Safety Pick+ every year it has been in production. It also benefits from Subaru’s steady evolution, including a 2023 refresh and updated trims for 2025.

That combination points to a used SUV that should make sense for long-term family ownership if you value standard all-wheel drive and practical utility. For used buyers, the main long-term risk is more about living with its compromises than expecting a major reliability red flag.

What should I look for when buying a used 2025 Subaru Ascent?

Accident-free inventory is excellent at 92.7% — clean inventory, standard diligence applies.

You should still run a vehicle history report and confirm the listing’s maintenance record before you commit. Put the inspection focus on interior wear, cargo-area condition, and any signs that the third row or family-use features have seen heavy use. If possible, test the infotainment, climate controls, and all seating configurations to make sure everything works as expected.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2025 Subaru Ascent?

This is a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you can shop patiently and still find worthwhile listings.

• Deal availability: 33.8% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 2,396 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 11.41% compared with last year.
• Clean inventory: 92.7% of listings are accident-free.

If you find a listing below $36,582, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2025 Subaru Ascent's resale value?

The current average of $36,582 sits slightly below last year's $41,292.

That price movement suggests the market has cooled, which can help you buy more affordably today. For a future seller, it also means resale value may depend heavily on condition, mileage, and how well your specific vehicle stands out against the current inventory. If you keep the SUV clean, well maintained, and accident-free, you should be in a better position when it is time to sell.

Should I buy a 2025 Subaru Ascent or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2025 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2025 if:

• 33.8% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Accident-free inventory is excellent at 92.7% — clean inventory, standard diligence applies.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 11.41% compared with last year.

Consider the 2024 if:

• At $32,134, the 2024 costs less than the current year's $36,582 average.
• It offers a practical, value-focused package with standard all-wheel drive and strong safety performance.

The bottom line: You should lean toward the 2025 if you want the newer model year and are comfortable paying more for it. If your priority is saving money, the 2024 is the better value path and still gives you the core Subaru Ascent formula.
