How much does the 2025 RAM 3500 cost?

Is the 2025 RAM 3500 a good car?

The 2025 RAM 3500 stands out as a heavy-duty truck that has moved far beyond its original workhorse roots. In its current generation, Ram put a major emphasis on luxury and technology, while also strengthening the truck’s underlying hardware.

For you, that means a truck that can feel more like a daily driver than a bare-bones hauler, even if its size still makes it difficult to manage in towns and cities. The appeal is straightforward: serious towing and payload strength, a powerful turbodiesel option, and a level of comfort and technology that is unusual in a heavy-duty truck. 30.9% of listings are priced as good or great deals, which gives you some room to shop selectively.

Is the 2025 RAM 3500 reliable?

The 2025 RAM 3500 is presented as a heavy-duty truck with strengthened hardware, including a stronger frame, new suspension, and a new transmission for Hemi models. It also brings a more aerodynamic design, LED lighting, and upgraded cabin materials and amenities.

For you, the reliability story is less about flashy features and more about a truck built to handle demanding work while still offering modern comfort. Long-term ownership risk is tied more to the complexity and scale of a very large heavy-duty truck than to any single standout weakness.

What should I look for when buying a used 2025 RAM 3500?

Accident-free inventory is excellent at 91.6% — clean inventory, standard diligence applies.

You should still run a history report on any truck you’re seriously considering, especially if it has been used for towing or commercial work. Prioritize a thorough inspection of the suspension, brakes, tires, and interior wear, since heavy-duty use can leave clues even when the truck looks clean on paper. Focus on overall condition and maintenance evidence, not just mileage.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2025 RAM 3500?

This looks like a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you can shop with some leverage if you’re patient and compare listings carefully.

• Deal availability: 30.9% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 1,925 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 9.98% compared with last year.
• Clean inventory: 91.6% of listings are accident-free.

If you find a listing below $68,320, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2025 RAM 3500's resale value?

The current average of $68,320 sits slightly below last year's $75,891.

That price movement suggests the market has cooled, which can help you buy more carefully now but may also mean slower appreciation if you plan to resell soon. For a future seller, the key takeaway is that strong capability and desirable equipment can support value, but current pricing pressure means you should expect the market to reward well-kept, well-documented trucks most.

Should I buy a 2025 RAM 3500 or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2025 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2025 if:

• 30.9% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Accident-free inventory is excellent at 91.6% — clean inventory, standard diligence applies.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 9.98% compared with last year.

The bottom line: The 2025 is the right path if you want the current-year mix of capability, comfort, and a market that has softened enough to create some negotiating room. If you’re more price-sensitive, a nearby model year may be worth a look, especially if you can find a cleaner truck with similar equipment at a lower asking price.
