Is the 2025 RAM 3500 a good car?

The 2025 RAM 3500 stands out as a heavy-duty truck that has moved far beyond its original workhorse roots. Ram put a major emphasis on luxury and technology while also strengthening the truck’s underlying hardware, so you get serious capability with a cabin that can feel more like a daily driver than a bare-bones hauler.

For you, that means the truck makes the most sense if you want strong towing and payload ability without giving up modern comfort and convenience. The tradeoff is that its size still makes it difficult to manage in towns and cities, so it is best suited to buyers who can live with a very large truck.

33.0% of listings are priced as good or great deals, which gives you a decent chance of finding a competitive offer.

Is the 2025 RAM 3500 reliable?

The 2025 RAM 3500 is described as a heavy-duty truck with a stronger frame, new suspension, and a more robust overall hardware setup, which supports its appeal as a serious long-term hauler. It also offers a level of comfort and technology that is unusual in this class, so you are not giving up refinement to get capability.

For used buyers, the main long-term ownership risk is that this is still a very large, highly capable truck, so maintenance and repair costs can be more consequential than they would be on a smaller vehicle.

What should I look for when buying a used 2025 RAM 3500?

Accident-free inventory is excellent at 91.6% — clean inventory, standard diligence applies.

You should still run a vehicle history report and verify that the truck’s past use matches your needs, especially if it was worked hard as a tow rig or commercial vehicle. Prioritize a thorough inspection of the drivetrain, suspension, brakes, tires, and any towing-related equipment, since those areas are most likely to reflect heavy use. Focus on overall condition and maintenance records so you can separate a well-kept truck from one that has simply been used hard.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2025 RAM 3500?

This is a moderate market for selective buyers, so you have room to shop carefully without feeling rushed.

• Deal availability: 33.0% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 1,931 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 10.26% compared with last year.
• Clean inventory: 91.6% of listings are accident-free.

If you find a listing below $68,006, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2025 RAM 3500's resale value?

The current average of $68,006 sits slightly below last year's $75,785.

That price movement suggests the market has cooled, which can help you as a buyer today but may also mean a future seller has less room to recover value quickly. If you plan to own the truck for a while, the current pricing gives you a more favorable entry point than a year ago. If you are thinking about resale later, the key will be buying well now so you have less depreciation to absorb.

Should I buy a 2025 RAM 3500 or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2025 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2025 if:

• 33.0% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Accident-free inventory is excellent at 91.6% — clean inventory, standard diligence applies.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 10.26% compared with last year.

The bottom line: You should start with the 2025 if you want the strongest mix of current pricing, inventory depth, and clean listings in this model-year window. If you are especially price-sensitive, a nearby year may still be worth comparing, but the 2025 gives you a compelling balance of value and availability right now.
