Used 2025 RAM 1500 for Sale nearNewark, NJ

How much does the 2025 RAM 1500 cost?

Prices have softened 8.05% compared to this time last year, making it a favorable time to shop this model year.

There are 9,697 listings available, which suggests you should have a healthy set of options to compare.

Is the 2025 RAM 1500 a good car?

Generally — the 2025 RAM 1500 earns a 4/5 user rating and an 8.33/10 expert rating. The standout strength is Technology at 10/10.

Owners repeatedly praise its sharp looks, smooth ride, and powerful engine options, and they also describe the quality and finish as a standout. The main trade-offs are that the price can feel steep and the touchscreen features could be better.

For you, that means this truck makes the most sense if you want a full-size pickup that feels more premium and polished than workaday, while still offering strong capability and a lot of tech. It also fits buyers who value a spacious cabin and upscale materials.

37.0% of listings are priced as good or great deals, so there are still some attractive opportunities in the market.

Is the 2025 RAM 1500 reliable?

Owners rate it 4/5, a solid signal of long-term satisfaction.

The owner feedback points to a truck that feels dependable in daily use, with praise centered on its smooth ride and strong overall quality. That kind of feedback usually matters most when you want a used truck you can count on over time.

The expert evaluation also emphasizes smooth-shifting powertrains and a comfortable ride, both of which support confidence in long-term ownership. Ram also notes that the new engine architecture is more efficient, which can help reduce ownership strain if you drive a lot.

If you’re shopping used, the biggest long-term risk is paying premium-truck money for a vehicle whose advanced features and condition may vary widely by trim and equipment.

What should I look for when buying a used 2025 RAM 1500?

Accident-free inventory is excellent at 92.4% — clean inventory, standard diligence applies.

You should still run a history report on any truck you’re seriously considering, especially if it’s been used for towing or off-road driving. A pre-purchase inspection is worth prioritizing because this model can be equipped very differently from one trim to the next. Focus on cabin condition, electronics, and whether the truck’s equipment matches the asking price.

Key things to evaluate:

• Trim level: The lineup ranges from the base Tradesman to the new Tungsten, with the latter bringing a much more premium, car-like look and feel. Base-trim trucks get an 8.4-inch screen, while higher trims add more upscale materials and features, so you should check carefully for feature gaps if you’re comparing lower-priced examples.
• Powertrain: The base engine is the 3.6-liter Pentastar V6, while the upgrade is the 3.0-liter Hurricane twin-turbo inline-six in standard-output and high-output forms. The new engine family is described as more efficient, and the standard-output version is the one tied to maximum towing capacity.
• Safety package: Ram’s available Hands-Free Driving Assist system can change speeds, maintain distance, and keep the truck centered in its lane on approved roadways. Newly enhanced automatic emergency braking now includes evasive steering assist, but blind-spot monitoring, adaptive cruise control, traffic-sign recognition, and the surround-view camera are not standard.
• Infotainment: An 8.4-inch flush screen is standard, a 12-inch screen is available, and the truck can be equipped with a 14.5-inch touchscreen running Uconnect 5. The available 10.25-inch passenger screen starts with Laramie, and the truck also offers wireless charging and a digital driver display on higher trims.
• Fuel efficiency: Ram says the new engine architecture should deliver better MPGs, even while towing, but no fuel-economy figure is stated.

Which 2025 RAM 1500 trim should I buy?

The 2025 RAM 1500 is offered in 5 trim levels: Tradesman, Laramie, Rebel, Limited, Tungsten.

Here's the short version:

• Tradesman: This is the entry point, and it makes sense if you want the lowest starting price and plan to add only the equipment you truly need. It gets the standard 8.4-inch screen, but it’s also the trim where you’ll feel the biggest feature gap versus the higher-end models.
• Laramie: This is the best-value trim if you want a meaningful step up in comfort and tech without jumping all the way to luxury pricing. It unlocks the 10.25-inch passenger screen and starts moving the truck into a more upscale space.
• Rebel: Choose this if you want the most off-road-focused personality in the lineup. The content highlights its 33-inch tires, Bilstein shocks, factory lift, and available air suspension, making it the clear pick for buyers who want trail capability.
• Limited: This is the right middle ground if you want a premium-feeling truck with high-end features but don’t need the full extravagance of the top trim. It also gets the walk-up animation feature and sits just below the new flagship.
• Tungsten: This is the luxury play, with the most premium interior treatment, exclusive color combinations, and top-end equipment like the dual-pane panoramic moonroof and 23-speaker Klipsch audio system. Buy this if you want the most lavish Ram 1500 experience.

Advanced safety features are not standard, so check carefully for the driver-assistance equipment you want on any trim you’re considering.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2025 RAM 1500?

This looks like a moderate, selective buyer’s market.

• Deal availability: 37.0% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 9,697 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 8.05% compared with last year.
• Clean inventory: 92.4% of listings are accident-free.

If you find a listing below $43,660, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2025 RAM 1500's resale value?

The current average of $43,660 sits slightly below last year's $47,482.

That price movement suggests the market has already adjusted downward, which can help you buy at a more favorable point in the cycle. For a future seller, that also means resale value may depend heavily on trim, condition, and equipment rather than just model-year freshness.

Because the year-round range is relatively tight, well-equipped trucks in strong condition should remain easier to position later. Trucks with desirable features and clean histories are likely to hold buyer interest better than stripped or heavily worn examples.

Vehicles with solid owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Is the 2025 RAM 1500 safe?

The 2025 RAM 1500 earns a Good rating from IIHS and a five-star overall rating from NHTSA.

It earns an 8/10 safety score from our experts.

Ram’s available Hands-Free Driving Assist system is the headline driver-assistance feature, and it can handle lane centering, speed changes, and following distance on approved roadways. Newly enhanced automatic emergency braking now includes evasive steering assist, and the truck can detect a cyclist or motorcycle in the blind spot.

The main caveat is that advanced safety features are not standard, and blind-spot monitoring, adaptive cruise control, traffic-sign recognition, and the surround-view camera are all optional rather than standard equipment. That means you should verify the exact safety package on any used truck you’re considering.

Should I buy a 2025 RAM 1500 or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2025 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2025 if:

• 37.0% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Accident-free inventory is excellent at 92.4% — clean inventory, standard diligence applies.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 8.05% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4/5 — a solid satisfaction signal.
• The 2025 update adds a new super-luxe trim, more tech, and hands-free driving capability.

Consider the 2026 if:

• At $51,993, the 2026 costs more than the current year's $43,660 average.
• The Hemi V8 returns as a characterful engine choice.

The bottom line: If you want the better value, the 2025 is the smarter buy because it brings major updates, strong owner satisfaction, and a softer market price. If you’re willing to spend more for the next model year’s Hemi comeback, the 2026 is the better fit for buyers who prioritize engine character over value.
