You should still run a vehicle history report and prioritize a pre-purchase inspection, especially if you’re looking at a truck that may have been used for towing, off-roading, or heavy daily work. Focus on overall condition, tire wear, brake wear, and signs of hard use in the cabin and bed.

Key things to evaluate:

• Trim level: The Tremor builds on the XLT trim level with off-roading equipment and exclusive design details, while the base truck can feel less specialized than higher trims.
• Powertrain: The standard 5.0-liter V8 makes 400 horsepower and 410 pound-feet of torque, while the available twin-turbocharged 3.5-liter EcoBoost V6 is more capable and more fuel efficient.

BlueCruise is standard starting with the Lariat trim and includes a one-year trial subscription.
• Infotainment: The truck uses a 12-inch productivity screen and a 12-inch Sync 4 infotainment touchscreen, with wireless Apple CarPlay, wireless Android Auto, and outstanding native navigation and voice recognition.
• Fuel efficiency: The Tremor EcoBoost is rated at 18 mpg combined, while the V8 is rated at 17 mpg.

That price drop suggests the market has become more favorable for buyers, which can put pressure on future resale if you buy at the wrong point in the cycle. The good news is that strong demand for a versatile full-size truck can still support values when the truck is well equipped and well maintained.

Should I buy a 2025 Ford F-150 or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2025 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2025 if:

• 36.8% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Accident-free inventory is excellent at 94.7% — clean inventory, standard diligence applies.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 15.88% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 5/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.
• It adds a slew of new standard and optional driver-assistance systems.

Consider the 2024 if:

• At $45,600, the 2024 costs less than the current year's $49,786 average.
• It adds thoughtful updates and a more modern-feeling cabin.

Consider the 2026 if:

• It keeps the F-150’s broad configuration range while reshuffling equipment across the lineup.

The bottom line: If you want the most up-to-date safety and tech mix, the 2025 is the better target. If your priority is saving money, the 2024 is the smarter value play, especially if you find a clean example with the equipment you want.
