Is the 2025 Porsche Taycan a good car?

The 2025 Porsche Taycan stands out because it blends Porsche’s performance-first character with the practicality of an electric luxury car. For you, that means a used EV that prioritizes dynamic handling, braking, and driving feel over pure efficiency.

The 2025 refresh adds meaningful updates, including an updated rear motor, larger battery packs, a new heat pump, increased DC fast-charging speeds, standard adaptive air suspension across all models, revised lighting, and an updated user interface. It also remains a distinctive choice if you want Porsche branding and an enthusiast-focused EV experience, though it is more expensive than rivals and range is only average.

27.3% of listings are priced as good or great deals, which gives you some room to shop selectively.

Is the 2025 Porsche Taycan reliable?

The 2025 Porsche Taycan is presented as a performance-focused electric car with a strong emphasis on driving character and Porsche engineering. For you, that makes it appealing if you want a premium EV that feels special behind the wheel.

The overview also points to a few tradeoffs, including average range, higher pricing than rivals, and a cabin layout that may not suit buyers who prefer simpler controls. For long-term ownership, that means you should expect a used luxury EV experience where maintenance history and condition matter a lot.

What should I look for when buying a used 2025 Porsche Taycan?

Accident-free inventory is excellent at 95.9% — clean inventory, standard diligence applies.

You should still run a vehicle history report and verify that the car has a clean title and consistent service records. Prioritize a pre-purchase inspection, especially for battery, charging, suspension, and software-related concerns, and focus on overall condition rather than just mileage.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2025 Porsche Taycan?

This looks like a moderate market, so you can shop selectively without expecting every listing to be a bargain.

• Deal availability: 27.3% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 341 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 6.05% compared with last year.
• Clean inventory: 95.9% of listings are accident-free.

If you find a listing below $112,105, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2025 Porsche Taycan's resale value?

The current average of $115,852 sits slightly below last year's $123,310.

That price movement suggests the Taycan has softened enough to create a better entry point for used buyers, but it also means future sellers may need to price carefully to stay competitive. If you buy well now, you may have a better chance of limiting depreciation pressure later. The strongest resale outcomes will likely come from well-kept examples with clean history and desirable equipment.

Should I buy a 2025 Porsche Taycan or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2025 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2025 if:

• 27.3% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Accident-free inventory is excellent at 95.9% — clean inventory, standard diligence applies.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 6.05% compared with last year.

The bottom line: The 2025 is the better pick if you want the refreshed Taycan with its updated hardware and a more compelling used-price setup than last year. If you're especially price-sensitive, a nearby model year may still make sense, but the 2025 gives you a strong balance of inventory, condition, and softened pricing.
