How much does the 2025 Porsche Taycan cost?

Prices have softened 9.41% compared to this time last year, making it a favorable time to shop this model year.

There are 299 listings available, which gives you a meaningful amount of inventory to compare across price points and conditions.

Is the 2025 Porsche Taycan a good car?

The 2025 Porsche Taycan stands out because it blends Porsche’s performance-first character with the practicality of an electric luxury car. For you, that means the appeal is less about maximizing range and more about getting an EV that still feels like a Porsche on the road.

For 2025, the Taycan received a mid-cycle refresh that brought an updated rear motor, larger battery packs, a new heat pump, increased DC fast-charging speeds, standard adaptive air suspension across all models, revised lighting signatures, and an updated user interface. The refresh also added the Turbo GT model and an available Weissach Package, while the base Taycan with the Performance Battery Plus now gets up to 318 miles of range.

The tradeoffs are clear: range is described as merely average, the car is more expensive than rivals, and the cabin lacks buttons and dials. 27.4% of listings are priced as good or great deals, which gives you some room to shop selectively.

Is the 2025 Porsche Taycan reliable?

The 2025 Porsche Taycan stands out because it blends Porsche’s performance-first character with an all-electric powertrain. Its identity is built around dynamic handling, strong braking, and fast charging, and the 2025 refresh adds hardware and charging improvements that support that formula.

Even so, the Taycan still has some tradeoffs, including a more complex ownership experience than a simpler mainstream EV and a premium price point. For a used buyer, that means long-term ownership risk is best managed by checking service history carefully and making sure the car has been maintained with the kind of attention a high-end EV can require.

What should I look for when buying a used 2025 Porsche Taycan?

Accident-free inventory is excellent at 97% — clean inventory, standard diligence applies.

You should still run a vehicle history report and verify that the car’s records match its mileage and asking price. Prioritize a pre-purchase inspection that focuses on charging behavior, brake condition, and overall battery-related health, since those are the kinds of areas that matter most on a used EV like this.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2025 Porsche Taycan?

This is a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you can shop carefully and still find worthwhile listings if you stay disciplined.

• Deal availability: 27.4% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 299 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 9.41% compared with last year.
• Clean inventory: 97.0% of listings are accident-free.

If you find a listing below $112,153, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2025 Porsche Taycan's resale value?

The current average of $115,027 sits slightly below last year's $126,975.

That decline suggests the market has moved in your favor if you're buying now, but it also means future resale will depend heavily on how well you preserve the car’s condition and documentation. If you keep mileage reasonable and maintain the car carefully, you’ll be better positioned when it’s time to sell. Because this model sits in a premium segment, buyers will usually reward clean history and strong presentation.

Should I buy a 2025 Porsche Taycan or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2025 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2025 if:

• 27.4% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Accident-free inventory is excellent at 97% — clean inventory, standard diligence applies.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 9.41% compared with last year.

The bottom line: The 2025 is the right pick if you want the refreshed Taycan experience, stronger charging capability, and the most up-to-date version of Porsche’s EV formula. If you’re more price-sensitive, a nearby model year may still make sense, especially if you’re willing to trade some of the refresh updates for a lower entry price.
