Used 2025 Nissan Altima for Sale nearCentral Point, OR

How much does the 2025 Nissan Altima cost?

Prices have softened 10.58% compared to this time last year, making it a favorable time to shop this model year.

There are 8,574 listings available, which gives you a solid pool of cars to compare.

Is the 2025 Nissan Altima a good car?

Yes — the 2025 Nissan Altima earns a 5/5 user rating and a 5.83/10 expert rating. The standout strength is Form and function at 8/10.

The Altima’s appeal centers on its stylish design, comfortable cabin, and easy-to-use technology, and it also offers available all-wheel drive for added traction. Those strengths make it a practical pick if you want a straightforward midsize sedan with comfort and useful features.

The trade-offs are clear: performance is fairly pedestrian, interior materials feel cheap, and the technology is outdated. Even so, the Altima still has some appeal for shoppers who value comfort and sedan practicality over excitement.

37.0% of listings are priced as good or great deals, which suggests there are still worthwhile opportunities if you shop carefully.

Is the 2025 Nissan Altima reliable?

Owners rate it 5/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

The Altima is positioned as a practical, easy-to-live-with sedan, and its available all-wheel drive adds everyday usefulness for buyers who want extra traction. Its driving character is described as unremarkable, but the engine provides decent acceleration, the CVT rarely irritates, and the car is quieter than expected.

Nissan also includes three complimentary oil changes, which helps soften early ownership costs. For used buyers, the bigger long-term risk is that the car’s dated design and modest value equation may make it less compelling as mileage and age add up.

What should I look for when buying a used 2025 Nissan Altima?

Accident-free inventory is solid at 86.6% — always verify the vehicle history report.

You should still run a history report on any car you’re considering, even if the listing looks clean. Prioritize a pre-purchase inspection, especially if you’re looking at a higher-mileage example or one with optional equipment. Focus on overall condition, because the Altima’s cabin materials and tech can feel less polished than you might expect.

Key things to evaluate:

• Trim level: The lineup includes S, SV, SV Special Edition, SR, and SL trim levels. The SV Special Edition adds black wheels and a rear spoiler with comfort and technology upgrades, while the SR brings 19-inch wheels, sport suspension, brake-induced torque vectoring, and sport-bolstered front seats. If you want the best mix of features and value, the SV Special Edition is the one to target.
• Powertrain: Every Altima uses a 2.5-liter four-cylinder engine with a CVT. Front-wheel-drive models make 188 horsepower and 180 pound-feet of torque, while AWD models make 182 horsepower and 178 pound-feet of torque. AWD is available if you want extra traction, but it costs more up front and reduces efficiency.
• Safety package: Nissan Safety Shield 360 is standard and includes forward collision warning, automatic emergency braking, automatic rear braking, pedestrian detection, lane departure warning, blind-spot monitoring, and rear cross-traffic alert. The SL trim adds ProPilot Assist 1.0, surround-view camera, and active blind-spot monitoring that can help steer you away from danger.
• Infotainment: The standard setup uses an 8-inch touchscreen with wired Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, SiriusXM satellite radio, and a six-speaker stereo. SV Special Edition and SL models get a 12.3-inch touchscreen with wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, wireless smartphone charging, NissanConnect services, navigation, and a conversational voice assistant.
• Fuel efficiency: AWD models should get 28 mpg in combined driving, while non-AWD models should get 31-32 mpg. The AWD system also matched its official rating in testing at 28.3 mpg.

Which 2025 Nissan Altima trim should I buy?

The 2025 Nissan Altima is offered in 5 trim levels: S, SV, SV Special Edition, SR, and SL.

Here's the short version:

• S: This is the entry point, but the available information points you toward higher trims if you want the Altima’s better equipment and more appealing tech.
• SV: This is the sensible step up if you want a more balanced mix of comfort and value without stretching too far.
• SV Special Edition: This is the best-value trim. It adds black wheels, a rear spoiler, and comfort and technology upgrades, and it’s the trim to get in 2025.
• SR: Choose this if you want the sportier look and feel, including 19-inch wheels, sport suspension, brake-induced torque vectoring, and sport-bolstered front seats.
• SL: This is the most feature-rich choice, with the best infotainment and the strongest safety equipment, including ProPilot Assist 1.0, a surround-view camera, and active blind-spot monitoring.

The SL trim level is also your ticket to the best safety features available for the Altima.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2025 Nissan Altima?

This is a moderate buyer’s market, so you can shop selectively and still find worthwhile listings.

• Deal availability: 37.0% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 8,574 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 10.58% compared with last year.
• Clean inventory: 86.6% of listings are accident-free.

If you find a listing below $19,658, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2025 Nissan Altima's resale value?

The current average of $21,028 sits slightly below last year's $23,516.

That decline suggests the Altima is losing value faster than it was a year ago, which can be good news if you’re buying now but less favorable if you plan to sell soon. A softer market usually means future sellers may need to price more aggressively to move the car.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 5/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Is the 2025 Nissan Altima safe?

The Altima earns five-star ratings from NHTSA, including a rare five-star rollover resistance rating.

It earns a 5/10 safety score from our experts.

Nissan Safety Shield 360 is standard on every Altima, and it includes forward collision warning, automatic emergency braking, automatic rear braking, pedestrian detection, lane departure warning, blind-spot monitoring, and rear cross-traffic alert. The SL trim adds ProPilot Assist 1.0, a surround-view camera system, and active blind-spot monitoring that can help steer you out of harm’s way.

There are also important caveats. The Altima gets a Poor rating in updated side impact protection and front crash prevention evaluations, and its updated moderate offset frontal-impact result is Marginal. The automatic rear braking system is also too sensitive and can make parking in tight spaces more difficult.

Should I buy a 2025 Nissan Altima or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2025 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2025 if:

• 37.0% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Accident-free inventory is solid at 86.6% — always verify the vehicle history report.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 10.58% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 5/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.
• Nissan adds a value-packed SV Special Edition Package to the lineup to drum up interest.

Consider the 2024 if:

• At $19,882, the 2024 costs less than the current year's $21,028 average.
• It offers an attractive starting price and an impressive array of standard safety tech.

The bottom line: If you want the newest version with the strongest current-market pricing signals, the 2025 is the better path. If your priority is spending less up front, the 2024 is the smarter price-sensitive choice, especially if you’re comfortable giving up the latest model-year updates.
