Used 2025 Nissan Altima for Sale nearGrants Pass, OR

How much does the 2025 Nissan Altima cost?

Prices have softened 10.41% compared to this time last year, making it a favorable time to shop this model year.

There are 8,618 listings available, which suggests you should have a workable range of choices.

Is the 2025 Nissan Altima a good car?

Yes — the 2025 Nissan Altima earns a 5/5 user rating and a 5.83/10 expert rating. The standout strength is Form and function at 8/10.

The Altima’s appeal is rooted in its stylish design, comfortable cabin, and easy-to-use technology. It also offers available all-wheel drive, and higher-spec SL and SR Premium Package models bring more competitive tech.

The trade-offs are clear: performance is fairly pedestrian, the interior materials feel cheap, and some of the technology is outdated. That means the Altima makes the most sense if you want a traditional midsize sedan that’s easy to live with rather than one that feels especially modern or polished.

39.5% of listings are priced as good or great deals, so there is some room to shop selectively.

Is the 2025 Nissan Altima reliable?

Owners rate it 5/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

The Altima is built around a straightforward 2.5-liter four-cylinder engine and a CVT, which keeps the powertrain simple. It also delivers real-world fuel efficiency that matches the official EPA rating, and the AWD version is described as quiet and competent in everyday driving.

Nissan also includes three complimentary oil changes, which helps soften early ownership costs. For used buyers, the bigger long-term risk is that the car’s value proposition depends heavily on condition and equipment, so a well-kept example matters more than a bargain-priced one with deferred maintenance.

What should I look for when buying a used 2025 Nissan Altima?

Accident-free inventory is solid at 86.2% — always verify the vehicle history report.

You should still check the history report carefully, because a clean listing percentage does not replace a proper vehicle-by-vehicle review. Prioritize a pre-purchase inspection that focuses on cabin condition, brake feel, and how the tech and driver-assistance features operate in real use. Since the Altima’s interior materials are a known weak point, pay close attention to wear, trim fit, and any signs of rough use.

Key things to evaluate:

• Trim level: The lineup includes S, SV, SV Special Edition, SR, and SL trim levels. The SV Special Edition adds black wheels, a rear spoiler, and comfort and technology upgrades, while the SR adds 19-inch wheels, sport suspension, brake-induced torque vectoring, and sport-bolstered front seats. If you want the best value, the SV Special Edition is the one to focus on.
• Powertrain: Every Altima uses a 2.5-liter four-cylinder engine with a CVT. Front-wheel-drive models make 188 horsepower and 180 pound-feet of torque, while AWD models make 182 horsepower and 178 pound-feet of torque. The AWD system is optional, and the car does not offer a hybrid powertrain.
• Safety package: Nissan Safety Shield 360 is standard and includes forward collision warning, automatic emergency braking, automatic rear braking, pedestrian detection, lane departure warning, blind-spot monitoring, and rear cross-traffic alert. SL trim adds ProPilot Assist 1.0, a surround-view camera system, and active blind-spot monitoring that can help steer you away from danger.
• Infotainment: The standard setup uses an 8-inch touchscreen with wired Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, SiriusXM satellite radio, and a six-speaker stereo. SV Special Edition and SL get a 12.3-inch touchscreen with wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, wireless smartphone charging, NissanConnect services, a navigation system, and a conversational voice assistant.
• Fuel efficiency: AWD models should get 28 mpg in combined driving, while non-AWD models should get 31-32 mpg. The AWD test vehicle averaged 28.3 mpg in mixed driving.

Which 2025 Nissan Altima trim should I buy?

The 2025 Nissan Altima is offered in 5 trim levels: S, SV, SV Special Edition, SR, and SL.

Here's the short version:

• S: This is the entry point, so it makes sense if you want the lowest-cost way into the Altima lineup and are comfortable with the standard equipment.
• SV: This is the trim to start with if you want a balanced mix of value and everyday comfort without stretching too far up the range.
• SV Special Edition: This is the best-value trim. It adds black wheels, a rear spoiler, and comfort and technology upgrades, making it the most compelling middle-ground choice.
• SR: Choose this if you want the sportier look and feel, including 19-inch wheels, sport suspension, brake-induced torque vectoring, and sport-bolstered front seats.
• SL: This is the trim to buy if you want the most advanced tech and safety content, including ProPilot Assist 1.0, a surround-view camera system, and active blind-spot monitoring.

The SL trim level is also your ticket to the best safety features available for the Altima.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2025 Nissan Altima?

This looks like a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you can shop patiently but should move quickly on strong listings.

• Deal availability: 39.5% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 8,618 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 10.41% compared with last year.
• Clean inventory: 86.2% of listings are accident-free.

If you find a listing below $19,658, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2025 Nissan Altima's resale value?

The current average of $20,962 sits slightly below last year's $23,397.

That drop suggests the Altima is currently in a softer resale position than it was a year ago. If you buy one now, you may benefit from the lower entry price, but a future seller should expect value retention to depend heavily on trim, condition, and mileage.

The Altima’s value story is also tied to its market position: it remains a practical sedan with broad appeal, but it faces stronger competition from more modern or more efficient rivals. That can limit upside at resale unless you own a well-equipped, well-kept example.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 5/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Is the 2025 Nissan Altima safe?

The 2025 Nissan Altima earns a five-star overall rating from NHTSA, including a five-star rollover resistance rating.

It earns a 5/10 safety score from our experts.

Nissan Safety Shield 360 is standard, with forward collision warning, automatic emergency braking, automatic rear braking, pedestrian detection, lane departure warning, blind-spot monitoring, and rear cross-traffic alert. SL trim adds ProPilot Assist 1.0, which combines adaptive cruise control with stop-and-go capability and lane-centering assist, plus a surround-view camera system and active blind-spot monitoring.

The main caveat is that IIHS testing is less favorable, with a Poor result in updated side impact protection and front crash prevention evaluations and a Marginal result in an updated moderate offset frontal-impact test. That means the Altima’s safety story is mixed even though its NHTSA results are strong.

Should I buy a 2025 Nissan Altima or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2025 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2025 if:

• 39.5% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Accident-free inventory is solid at 86.2% — always verify the vehicle history report.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 10.41% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 5/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.
• Nissan adds the value-focused SV Special Edition Package to help keep the lineup competitive.

Consider the 2024 if:

• At $19,852, the 2024 costs less than the current year's $20,962 average.
• It leans on value and familiarity, with standard safety tech and available all-wheel drive.

The bottom line: Buy the 2025 if you want the freshest version of this sedan and are shopping for the best mix of current pricing, inventory, and feature content. If you’re mainly chasing the lowest purchase price, the 2024 is the smarter path because it undercuts the current model year while keeping much of the same core appeal.
