Used 2025 MINI Cooper for Sale nearPortland, OR

How much does the 2025 MINI Cooper cost?

Prices have softened 5.52% compared to this time last year, making it a favorable time to shop this model year.

There are 1,288 listings available, which gives you a solid pool of inventory to compare.

Is the 2025 MINI Cooper a good car?

Yes — the 2025 MINI Cooper earns a 5/5 user rating and a 7/10 expert rating. The model scores 8/10 across Look and feel, Performance, and Form and function.

It is redesigned for 2025 with changes throughout, and it is a little bigger inside and out while still weighing less than 3,000 pounds. That lighter footprint helps preserve the lively, fun-to-drive character the MINI badge is known for, and the new model also brings quirky interior design and all-new infotainment tech to the cabin.

The tradeoffs are worth noting, though: the infotainment is called terrible, there is no ability to independently shift gears without paying extra, and the base price is high. Even so, the 2025 MINI Cooper stands out by blending personality, compact dimensions, and solid overall fuel economy into one distinctive package.

The market looks healthy, with 40.3% of listings priced as good or great deals.

Is the 2025 MINI Cooper reliable?

Owners rate it 5/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

The 2025 MINI Cooper is described as a redesigned model that still keeps the small-car charm the nameplate is known for, and it remains light enough to preserve its lively character. Its turbocharged four-cylinder setup and low curb weight support the kind of responsive driving feel that can make a car feel less strained in everyday use.

The performance notes also point to a generally strong powertrain and a smooth-shifting dual-clutch automatic, with the Cooper S delivering especially eager acceleration. On the ownership side, the cabin tech includes standard smartphone integration and multiple convenience features, which can help daily usability if the system behaves as expected.

If you’re buying used, the main long-term risk is making sure any recall work has been completed and that the car’s electronics and software are functioning properly before you commit.

What should I look for when buying a used 2025 MINI Cooper?

Accident-free inventory is excellent at 94.9% — clean inventory, standard diligence applies.

You should still run a vehicle history report and prioritize a pre-purchase inspection, especially because this model’s tech-heavy cabin and driver-assistance features can be sensitive to software or calibration issues. Focus on overall condition, verify that the infotainment and controls work correctly, and make sure any recall-related repairs have been completed.

Key things to evaluate:

• Trim level: The cabin mixes quirky design with a panoramic sunroof on four-door models, a round 9.4-inch touchscreen, and standard heated front seats and a heated steering wheel. Base-trim shoppers should pay close attention to which comfort and convenience features are included versus optional.
• Powertrain: The base model uses a turbocharged 2.0-liter four-cylinder with 161 horsepower and 184 pound-feet of torque, while the Cooper S raises output to 201 horsepower and 221 pound-feet. Both use front-wheel drive and a seven-speed dual-clutch automatic.
• Safety package: Safe Exit function, pedestrian detection, and forward-collision warning are standard. Adaptive cruise control with stop-and-go functionality and lane-keep assist are available as part of the Active Driving Assistant package for an additional $600.
• Infotainment: The car uses a round 9.4-inch touchscreen with Operating System 9, and Bluetooth, Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, and dual-zone climate control are standard. The system is described as laggy, so you should test response speed and phone pairing before buying.
• Fuel efficiency: The model is EPA-rated at 28 mpg city, 39 mpg highway, and 32 mpg combined.

Which 2025 MINI Cooper trim should I buy?

The 2025 MINI Cooper is offered in 4 trim levels: Signature three-door, Cooper S three-door, Cooper four-door, and Cooper S four-door.

Here's the short version:

• Signature three-door: This is the entry point, and it gives you the core MINI experience at the lowest price. It makes the most sense if you want the style and size without paying for the extra power of the S models.
• Cooper S three-door: This is the best-value trim if you care most about driving enjoyment. It adds the stronger turbocharged engine and the most entertaining performance character described in the test drive notes.
• Cooper four-door: Choose this if you want the MINI look with easier everyday access and a bit more practicality. The four-door body style also gets the panoramic sunroof as standard.
• Cooper S four-door: This is the pick if you want the stronger engine and the added convenience of the four-door layout. It suits you best if you want the most balanced mix of performance and usability.

The safety package note to keep in mind is that Adaptive Driving Assistant features are available separately, so you should verify whether the specific car you’re considering has that package.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2025 MINI Cooper?

It’s a buyer-friendly market if you’re willing to shop carefully.

• Deal availability: 40.3% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 1,288 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 5.52% compared with last year.
• Clean inventory: 94.9% of listings are accident-free.

If you find a listing below $30,836, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2025 MINI Cooper's resale value?

The current average of $30,836 sits slightly below last year's $32,638.

That softer pricing suggests the model has already moved down from its prior-year level, which can help you buy at a more favorable entry point. For a future seller, that also means resale value will depend heavily on condition, mileage, and how well the car is equipped.

Because the market is still showing meaningful inventory and a decent share of good deals, buyers have options now, but clean, well-kept examples should remain easier to move later. Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 5/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Is the 2025 MINI Cooper safe?

The 2025 MINI Cooper comes standard with the brand’s Safe Exit function—meant to alert exiting occupants to cars coming up from behind—pedestrian detection and forward-collision warning are standard.

It earns a 7/10 safety score from our experts.

Adaptive cruise control with stop-and-go functionality and lane-keep assist are available as part of the Active Driving Assistant package for an additional $600. You should also note that the test car’s adaptive cruise control was laggy and easily confused by cars cutting into its lane.

Should I buy a 2025 MINI Cooper or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2025 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

• 40.3% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Accident-free inventory is excellent at 94.9% — clean inventory, standard diligence applies.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 5.52% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 5/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.
• The 2025 model is redesigned with a little more space, all-new infotainment tech, and the same playful, lightweight character that helps define the MINI Cooper.

The bottom line: If you want the newest redesign, the strongest mix of personality and everyday usability, and a market that currently favors shoppers, the 2025 is the better path. If you’re more price-sensitive, a nearby model year may still make sense, but you’ll be giving up some of the fresh cabin and redesign benefits that make this one stand out.
