Prices have softened 12.61% compared to this time last year, making it a favorable time to shop this model year.

There are 926 listings available, which gives you a solid pool of inventory to compare.

Is the 2025 Lincoln Aviator a good car?

Yes — the 2025 Lincoln Aviator earns a 5/5 user rating and a 7.8/10 expert rating. The model scores 9/10 across Technology and Safety.

It stands out in the midsize, three-row luxury SUV segment by leaning into traditional American luxury and mid-century modern cues while still presenting itself as a calm, unhurried sanctuary. It is also described as distinctive without being polarizing, which helps explain its appeal if you want a luxury SUV with a more restrained personality.

The trade-offs are clear: poor fuel economy and poor ride quality on 22-inch wheels. It also has cramped third-row seats, so it fits you best if you value style, quiet comfort, and advanced tech more than maximum passenger space or sporty driving.

32.0% of listings are priced as good or great deals, which suggests there are worthwhile opportunities if you shop carefully.

Is the 2025 Lincoln Aviator reliable?

Owners rate it 5/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

The Aviator is positioned as a calm, comfortable luxury SUV, and its expert evaluation reinforces that with a quiet cabin, strong technology, and a composed driving character. Its twin-turbo V6 is described as a great engine, and the vehicle’s safety and ownership benefits add to its appeal for long-term use.

It also includes complimentary valet pick-up and drop-off service for scheduled maintenance, which helps reduce some ownership friction. For used buyers, the main long-term risk is that its premium hardware and advanced systems can be costly to live with if you want low running expenses.

What should I look for when buying a used 2025 Lincoln Aviator?

Accident-free inventory is excellent at 93% — clean inventory, standard diligence applies.

You should still run a vehicle history report and verify that the specific car you’re considering has a clean maintenance record. A pre-purchase inspection is especially important on a luxury SUV like this, since you’ll want to confirm that the electronics, suspension, and cabin features all work as intended. Focus on overall condition, because the Aviator’s appeal depends heavily on how well it has been kept.

Key things to evaluate:

• Trim level: The lineup includes Premiere, Reserve, and Black Label. The Reserve trim adds a strong mix of desirable equipment, while the Reserve II Package brings upgraded exterior lighting, 30-way-adjustable Perfect Position front seats with massage, heated and ventilated second-row seats, a 28-speaker Revel Ultima audio system, and 22-inch wheels. Base-trim equipment is less richly appointed than the higher trims.
• Powertrain: A twin-turbocharged 3.0-liter V6 is the only powertrain option. It delivers 400 horsepower and 415 lb-ft of torque through a 10-speed automatic transmission, and it is described as strong and smooth, though not especially efficient.
• Safety package: Lincoln Co-Pilot360 Drive 2.0 is standard. It includes active blind-spot monitoring with trailer coverage, intersection assist, evasive steering assist, reverse braking assist, adaptive cruise control, lane-centering assist, and BlueCruise with a complimentary four-year subscription. BlueCruise is standard, and the system is designed for approved limited-access highways.
• Infotainment: The Aviator uses a 13.2-inch touchscreen with Lincoln Digital Experience, plus a 12.4-inch digital instrument cluster. It supports wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, along with Google Built-in and Alexa Built-in.
• Fuel efficiency: The official EPA fuel economy rating is 20 mpg in combined driving.

Which 2025 Lincoln Aviator trim should I buy?

The 2025 Lincoln Aviator is offered in 3 trim levels: Premiere, Reserve, and Black Label.

Here's the short version:

• Premiere: This is the entry point, and it gives you the Aviator’s core luxury-SUV character with the standard V6, the 13.2-inch touchscreen, the 12.4-inch digital instrument cluster, and the standard safety suite. It makes sense if you want the Aviator experience at the lowest starting point, but it is the least richly equipped.
• Reserve: This is the best-value trim for most shoppers because it adds a more upscale feel without pushing all the way to the top of the range. It also unlocks the Reserve II Package, which brings the most desirable comfort and audio upgrades, making it the sweet spot if you want the Aviator’s luxury and tech to feel fully realized.
• Black Label: This is the top trim if you want the most premium presentation and are willing to pay for it. It sits at the top of the lineup and is the right choice if you want the most exclusive version of the Aviator.

BlueCruise is standard across the lineup, so you do not need to move up a trim just to get that hands-free driving assistance system.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2025 Lincoln Aviator?

This looks like a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you should shop with some leverage but still move quickly on the right car.

• Deal availability: 32.0% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 926 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 12.61% compared with last year.
• Clean inventory: 93.0% of listings are accident-free.

If you find a listing below $58,956, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2025 Lincoln Aviator's resale value?

The current average of $58,956 sits slightly below last year's $67,462.

That decline suggests the market has become more favorable for buyers, but it also means a future seller may need to price competitively to stand out. If you buy now, you’re entering at a lower average price than a year ago, which can help cushion depreciation compared with a peak-market purchase. The Aviator’s strong equipment and premium positioning should still support demand, especially among shoppers looking for a stylish luxury SUV.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 5/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Is the 2025 Lincoln Aviator safe?

The 2025 Lincoln Aviator earns five-star ratings across the board from NHTSA, plus a four-star rating for rollover resistance, and it receives Good ratings in all completed IIHS evaluations.

It earns a 9/10 safety score from our experts.

Lincoln Co-Pilot360 Drive 2.0 is standard, and it includes active blind-spot monitoring with trailer coverage, intersection assist, evasive steering assist, reverse braking assist, adaptive cruise control, lane-centering assist, and BlueCruise. BlueCruise is standard and includes a complimentary four-year subscription.

One caveat is that reverse braking assist can be overly sensitive in some situations, and blind-spot warnings on the head-up display require the turn signal to be used first. Even so, the Aviator’s overall safety package is strong for used buyers who want advanced driver assistance.

Should I buy a 2025 Lincoln Aviator or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2025 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2025 if:

• 32.0% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Accident-free inventory is excellent at 93% — clean inventory, standard diligence applies.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 12.61% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 5/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.
• It brings fresh styling, new thematic packages, and some of the segment’s most advanced technology.

Consider the 2026 if:

• It leans more upscale and refined while keeping the Explorer-based platform.

The bottom line: If you want the strongest mix of price relief, inventory depth, and the 2025 model’s fresh styling and advanced tech, the 2025 is the better buy. If you’re willing to pay more for a newer-year take that emphasizes refinement, the 2026 is the alternative to watch.
