Is the 2025 Lexus RX a good car?

The 2025 Lexus RX is a strong fit if you want a luxury SUV that emphasizes comfort, refinement, and long-term appeal over flash. It also undercuts some European rivals on list price, which can make it easier to justify if you want a polished daily driver without chasing the sportiest or most opulent option in the class.

The RX lineup gives you a broad range of powertrains, from the RX 350 to hybrid and plug-in hybrid versions, and equipment is generous even on the base model. That combination makes it appealing if you want a calm, well-equipped luxury SUV with broad everyday usefulness.

Is the 2025 Lexus RX reliable?

The 2025 Lexus RX is built around comfort, refinement, and long-term appeal, and that focus is part of why it has such broad shopper appeal. It also carries the kind of balanced, polished character that makes it easy to live with as a daily driver.

For used buyers, that usually points to lower long-term ownership stress than you might expect from a luxury SUV with more aggressive performance ambitions. If you want a vehicle that is more about steady, predictable ownership than excitement, the RX fits that brief well.

What should I look for when buying a used 2025 Lexus RX?

Accident-free inventory is excellent at 93% — clean inventory, standard diligence applies.

You should still run a vehicle history report and confirm that the listing’s condition matches the seller’s description. Prioritize a pre-purchase inspection if you’re considering a higher-mileage example or a trim with more complex equipment. Focus on signs of wear, maintenance consistency, and whether the vehicle has been used in a way that matches your expectations for a luxury SUV.

Should I buy a 2025 Lexus RX or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2025 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2025 if:

• 37.1% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Accident-free inventory is excellent at 93% — clean inventory, standard diligence applies.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 2.72% compared with last year.

Consider the 2024 if:

• At $49,167, the 2024 costs less than the current year's $53,247 average.
• It emphasizes comfort and refinement with strong fuel economy.

The bottom line:
Choose the 2025 if you want the newer market position, broader shopping inventory, and a strong mix of clean listings and deal opportunities. If your priority is saving money up front, the 2024 is the better value path and still delivers the RX’s core comfort-first appeal.
