Is the 2025 Land Rover Range Rover a good car?

The 2025 Land Rover Range Rover earns an expert rating of 7.7/10.

The model scores 10/10 across Look and feel and Performance.

It stands out for pairing regal luxury with genuine go-anywhere capability, and it remains appealing if you want a luxury SUV that feels special rather than merely practical. The Range Rover also offers multiple powertrain options, competitive interior space, and towing capacity, which broadens its appeal beyond style alone. The trade-offs are its unintuitive technology and poor value for money, so you should expect to pay for the badge and the capability. Even so, 31.9% of listings are priced as good or great deals, which gives you some room to shop selectively.

Is the 2025 Land Rover Range Rover reliable?

The 2025 Land Rover Range Rover is presented as a refined, capable luxury SUV, but it also carries the usual complexity that comes with a high-end, feature-rich vehicle. Its powertrain lineup is broad, and the expert review notes strong comfort and refinement, which are good signs for day-to-day use. The performance write-up also emphasizes a well-tuned suspension and steering setup, plus a capable off-road system with standard hardware that should help the vehicle handle a wide range of conditions.

Land Rover’s maintenance coverage includes a four-year/50,000-mile new vehicle limited warranty and four-year/50,000-mile roadside assistance coverage. For used buyers, the main long-term ownership risk is that this is still a highly complex luxury SUV, so upkeep can be expensive if prior maintenance has been inconsistent.

What should I look for when buying a used 2025 Land Rover Range Rover?

Accident-free inventory is excellent at 95% — clean inventory, standard diligence applies.

You should still run a vehicle history report and prioritize a pre-purchase inspection, especially on a luxury SUV with a lot of technology and multiple powertrain choices. Focus on how the cabin electronics, driver aids, and suspension behave in real-world use, since those systems are central to the Range Rover experience. It’s also worth checking for signs of heavy use or deferred maintenance, because condition matters a lot on a vehicle like this.

Key things to evaluate:

• Safety package: Standard driver-assistance features include automatic emergency braking, forward collision warning, a driver attention monitor, adaptive cruise control with steering assist, front and rear parking sensors, and a 360-degree camera system. The review notes that Land Rover doesn’t offer anything more sophisticated, but everything available is standard.

Which 2025 Land Rover Range Rover trim should I buy?

The 2025 Land Rover Range Rover is offered in 3 trim levels: SE, Autobiography, and SV.

Here's the short version:

• SE: This is the best-value starting point if you want the Range Rover experience without stretching into the pricier trims. You still get the core luxury, standard all-wheel drive, and the full set of standard driver-assistance features, plus the 21-inch wheels that mark it as the entry point.
• Autobiography: This is the trim to target if you want the strongest balance of luxury and equipment. It opens up more body-style flexibility, adds 22-inch wheels, and is also the first step to the available 35-speaker Meridian audio system with active noise cancellation.
• SV: This is the choice if you want the most exclusive and most powerful version in the lineup. It pairs with the top-end V8 tune and the most upscale positioning, but it’s the least value-oriented path.

The safety package is standard across the lineup, so you don’t need to move up a trim just to get the core driver-assistance features.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2025 Land Rover Range Rover?

The market looks moderate and selective, so you can shop with some leverage if you’re patient.

• Deal availability: 31.9% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 1,060 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 17.08% compared with last year.
• Clean inventory: 95.0% of listings are accident-free.

If you find a listing below $112,742, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2025 Land Rover Range Rover's resale value?

The current average of $112,742 sits slightly below last year's $135,957.

That price movement suggests the used market has cooled, which can help you buy more SUV for the money today. For a future seller, it also means you should be realistic about depreciation if you plan to move out of the vehicle in a few years. The Range Rover still has strong nameplate appeal, but its resale value will depend heavily on condition, mileage, and how well it has been maintained.

Is the 2025 Land Rover Range Rover safe?

The 2025 Land Rover Range Rover does not have crash-test ratings listed here.

It earns a 6/10 safety score from our experts.

Standard driver-assistance features include automatic emergency braking, forward collision warning, a driver attention monitor, adaptive cruise control with steering assist, front and rear parking sensors, and a 360-degree camera system. The review also notes that these aids work as expected, though the camera view does not always appear automatically when needed and the parking aids can be overly sensitive. That means the safety hardware is solid, but the day-to-day experience can still feel a bit fussy.

Should I buy a 2025 Land Rover Range Rover or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2025 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2025 if:

• 31.9% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Accident-free inventory is excellent at 95% — clean inventory, standard diligence applies.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 17.08% compared with last year.
• The 2025 model keeps the Range Rover’s core strengths intact while limiting changes to option reshuffling, so you’re getting the same refinement, capability, and presence that define the nameplate.

The bottom line: If you want the current Range Rover’s blend of luxury and capability, the 2025 is the straightforward pick. If you’re mainly chasing the lowest possible price, a nearby model year may be worth a look, but the 2025’s softened pricing makes it a sensible place to start.
