Used 2025 Land Rover Defender for Sale nearBend, OR

How much does the 2025 Land Rover Defender cost?

Prices have softened 5.49% compared to this time last year, making it a favorable time to shop this model year.

There are 1,548 listings available, which gives you a solid amount of inventory to compare.

Is the 2025 Land Rover Defender a good car?

The 2025 Land Rover Defender earns an 7.5/10 expert rating.

The standout strength is Technology at 9/10.

You get a vehicle that is rugged but refined, comfortable yet capable, and built to go farther off-road than most buyers will ever need. The lineup also gives you multiple body styles and multiple powertrain choices, so you can tailor the Defender to how you plan to use it.

The trade-offs are real: poor fuel economy and poor handling on pavement are part of the package, and rear visibility is also a weakness.

With 36.2% of listings priced as good or great deals, the market gives you some room to shop selectively.

Is the 2025 Land Rover Defender reliable?

The 2025 Land Rover Defender is presented as a capable SUV with a four-year/50,000-mile warranty and roadside assistance that helps cover unexpected repairs during a typical lease term.

Its off-road hardware and refined driver aids suggest a vehicle built to handle demanding use with confidence. The powertrain is described as robust and smooth, with fuel economy that aligns with admittedly low expectations, which fits the Defender’s mission more than efficiency-first ownership.

For used buyers, the long-term risk is that you’re still shopping a premium SUV with expensive ownership exposure if maintenance or repairs stack up.

What should I look for when buying a used 2025 Land Rover Defender?

Accident-free inventory is excellent at 96.4% — clean inventory, standard diligence applies.

You should still run a history report, prioritize a pre-purchase inspection, and focus closely on wear, maintenance records, and any signs of hard use. That matters especially on a vehicle designed for off-road duty, where cosmetic condition and mechanical condition may not always tell the same story.

Key things to evaluate:

• Trim level: The 110 four-door is the sweet spot in this lineup, while the 90 looks stubby and the 130 carries more visual mass. The X trim adds upgraded interior materials, the Extended Black Exterior Pack, and Land Rover’s off-roading technology as standard equipment.
• Powertrain: The lineup includes turbocharged four-cylinder and six-cylinder engines, plus turbocharged or supercharged V8 options. The turbocharged 3.0-liter six-cylinder delivers 395 horsepower and 406 pound-feet of torque, with an eight-speed automatic, standard AWD, and a low-range setting for off-roading.
• Safety package: Standard driver aids include automatic high-beam headlights, forward collision warning, automatic emergency braking, blind-spot monitoring, rear cross-traffic alert, lane-departure warning, lane-keep assist, and adaptive cruise control with stop-and-go functionality. Lane-centering assist is available when using adaptive cruise control.
• Infotainment: Pivi Pro uses an 11.4-inch touchscreen and pairs with wireless Apple CarPlay, wireless Android Auto, SiriusXM 360L, a Wi-Fi hotspot, connected services, and a configurable digital driver display. The system also supports a head-up display, a ClearSight digital rearview mirror, and a surround-view camera system with a 3D view setting.
• Fuel efficiency: The test vehicle’s window sticker indicated 19 mpg in combined driving, and observed fuel economy was 16.2 mpg.

Which 2025 Land Rover Defender trim should I buy?

The 2025 Land Rover Defender is offered in 4 trim levels: 90, 110, 130, OCTA.

Here's the short version:

• 90: This is the short two-door version, so it makes the most sense if you want the most compact Defender footprint and can live with the least practical body style.
• 110: This is the best-value trim because it is the sweet spot in the design and gives you the standard four-door layout most buyers will want.
• 130: Choose this if you want the extended four-door body and the most space-oriented version of the lineup.
• OCTA: This is the high-performance standout for buyers who want the most extreme version of the Defender lineup.

The safety content notes that the Defender’s driver aids work in a refined manner, with lane-keep assist, adaptive cruise, and lane-centering among the highlights.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2025 Land Rover Defender?

This is a moderate market for selective buyers, so you can shop carefully and still find worthwhile listings.

• Deal availability: 36.2% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 1,548 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 5.49% compared with last year.
• Clean inventory: 96.4% of listings are accident-free.

If you find a listing below $69,733, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2025 Land Rover Defender's resale value?

The current average of $69,896 sits slightly below last year's $73,953.

That softer pricing suggests the market has moved in buyers’ favor, which can help you negotiate now. For a future seller, though, it also means you should expect resale value to depend heavily on trim, condition, and how well the vehicle has been maintained.

Because the Defender is a premium SUV with a broad price spread, well-kept examples should hold up better than neglected ones. If you buy carefully and keep mileage and condition in check, you’ll be in a stronger position when it’s time to sell.

Is the 2025 Land Rover Defender safe?

The Defender’s driver-assistance suite includes automatic high-beam headlights, forward collision warning, automatic emergency braking, blind-spot monitoring, rear cross-traffic alert, lane-departure warning, lane-keep assist, and adaptive cruise control with stop-and-go functionality.

It earns a 7/10 safety score from our experts.

A Driver Assistance Mode menu lets you choose High, Low, or Custom settings, and lane-centering assist is available with adaptive cruise control. The system is generally refined, though lane-keep assist can be assertive, and in this test vehicle it once tried to steer toward a turnout area.

Crash-test ratings were unavailable at press time.

Should I buy a 2025 Land Rover Defender or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2025 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2025 if:

• 36.2% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Accident-free inventory is excellent at 96.4% — clean inventory, standard diligence applies.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 5.49% compared with last year.
• The 2025 lineup adds the high-performance OCTA and keeps the Defender rugged but refined.

Consider the 2024 if:

• At $58,520, the 2024 costs less than the current year's $69,896 average.
• It offers a rugged-yet-refined take on luxury SUV off-road ability.

Consider the 2026 if:

• It adds subtle styling changes, a larger touchscreen, and new color and accessory options.

The bottom line: If you want the broadest current-market mix of inventory, pricing softness, and the latest Defender lineup, the 2025 is the primary path to consider. If your priority is lower entry cost, the 2024 is the better price-sensitive alternative, while the 2026 makes sense if you want the newer updates and can pay more for them.
