Is the 2025 Kia Seltos a good car?

The 2025 Kia Seltos stands out as a subcompact crossover with a larger footprint and a more rugged personality than many rivals in its class. It also has a surprisingly premium feel for the price point, with a high-quality cabin and refined driving dynamics helping it hold its own against tough competition. Buyers looking for something practical but not anonymous may also appreciate the Seltos’ generous passenger and cargo space considering its compact dimensions.

That combination makes it a strong fit if you want a small crossover that feels more substantial than its size suggests. 37.7% of listings are priced as good or great deals, which gives you some room to shop selectively.

Is the 2025 Kia Seltos reliable?

The 2025 Kia Seltos is presented as a well-packaged small crossover with a polished chassis, useful space, and a premium-feeling cabin for the price. Its strengths are balanced by a few drawbacks, though: the cabin can be noisy, and the base engine is described as underpowered.

For long-term ownership, that means you should focus on finding a well-kept example that has been maintained consistently, since condition and upkeep will matter more than the model’s broad appeal alone.

What should I look for when buying a used 2025 Kia Seltos?

Accident-free inventory is excellent at 90.4% — clean inventory, standard diligence applies.

You should still run a vehicle history report and verify that the listing matches the car’s condition and equipment. Prioritize a pre-purchase inspection if you’re considering a higher-mileage example or one with incomplete service records. Pay close attention to cabin noise, tire wear, and overall maintenance quality, since those details can shape your ownership experience.

What is the 2025 Kia Seltos's resale value?

The current average of $23,755 sits slightly below last year's $24,180.

That suggests the market has eased a bit, which can help you buy with less risk of overpaying. If you plan to sell later, the current pricing trend points to a model that is holding value reasonably well, but not appreciating. For you, that means condition, mileage, and trim choice will matter a lot when it comes time to resell.

Should I buy a 2025 Kia Seltos or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2025 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2025 if:

• 37.7% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Accident-free inventory is excellent at 90.4% — clean inventory, standard diligence applies.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 1.76% compared with last year.

Consider the 2024 if:

• At $22,514, the 2024 costs less than the current year's $23,755 average.
• The 2024 offers roomy space and updated tech.

The 2025 is the better primary choice if you want the newer market position and are comfortable paying a bit more for it. If your priority is value, the 2024 is the smarter secondary path because it undercuts the current year while keeping much of the same practical appeal.
