Is the 2025 Kia Seltos a good car?

The 2025 Kia Seltos stands out as a subcompact crossover that feels more substantial than its size suggests. It offers a premium-leaning cabin for the price, a practical layout, refined driving manners, and generous passenger and cargo space for its class.

That combination makes it a strong fit if you want a small SUV that balances everyday usefulness with a more rugged look and a well-thought-out interior. 36.3% of listings are priced as good or great deals, which gives you some room to shop selectively.

Is the 2025 Kia Seltos reliable?

The 2025 Kia Seltos keeps the qualities that made it appealing in the first place, including a polished feel and practical packaging. It also benefits from the broader updates introduced for the refreshed model, which makes it the safer used-buying choice compared with earlier versions.

For long-term ownership, you should still be careful about condition and maintenance history, since used compact crossovers can vary widely in how they were treated.

What should I look for when buying a used 2025 Kia Seltos?

Accident-free inventory is excellent at 91.2% — clean inventory, standard diligence applies.

You should still run a vehicle history report and prioritize a pre-purchase inspection, especially if you are considering a higher-mileage example. Focus on overall condition, signs of prior bodywork, and whether the cabin and mechanicals show the kind of wear that matches the asking price.

The current average of $23,829 sits slightly below last year's $24,251.

That suggests the market has eased a bit, which can work in your favor if you're buying now. For a future seller, it also means you should expect resale value to depend heavily on mileage, condition, and how well the vehicle was maintained.

Should I buy a 2025 Kia Seltos or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2025 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2025 if:

• 36.3% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Accident-free inventory is excellent at 91.2% — clean inventory, standard diligence applies.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 1.74% compared with last year.

Consider the 2024 if:

• At $22,632, the 2024 costs less than the current year's $23,829 average.
• It offers roomy cabin space and easy-to-use technology.

The 2025 is the better primary choice if you want the newer, refreshed version with stronger market support and a more polished used-shopping profile. If your priority is spending less upfront, the 2024 is the better secondary path because it delivers many of the same core strengths at a lower average price.
