How much does the 2025 Jeep Wrangler cost?

Prices have softened 15.83% compared to this time last year, making it a favorable time to shop this model year.

There are 6,564 listings available, which suggests solid inventory for shoppers comparing trims and equipment.

Is the 2025 Jeep Wrangler a good car?

Generally — the 2025 Jeep Wrangler earns a 4/5 user rating and a 5.33/10 expert rating. The model scores 7/10 across Performance and Technology.

The Wrangler’s appeal is clear if you want iconic looks, legendary off-road ability, and a vehicle built around adventure rather than polish. It is also highly configurable, with two-door and four-door body styles, three engines, and seven trim levels.

The trade-offs are just as clear: it is noisy, rides poorly, and is not especially strong on value for money. Even so, the removable top and doors make it uniquely suited to buyers who want a purpose-built trail vehicle with real personality.

41.1% of listings are priced as good or great deals, which gives you some room to shop selectively.

Is the 2025 Jeep Wrangler reliable?

Owners rate it 4/5, a solid signal of long-term satisfaction.

The Wrangler’s core formula is built around durability-minded utility, with standard four-wheel drive, high ground clearance, and a cabin designed to be hosed out after messy use. Its rugged character and straightforward hardware support the kind of ownership experience many used buyers expect from a trail-focused SUV.

The performance notes also point to a vehicle that is mechanically simple in spirit, with a choice of V6 or turbocharged four-cylinder power and a focus on capability over refinement. If you plan to use it as a daily driver, the rough ride and noisy cabin are the bigger long-term ownership compromises to weigh.

What should I look for when buying a used 2025 Jeep Wrangler?

Accident-free inventory is excellent at 94.8% — clean inventory, standard diligence applies.

You should still run a history report and prioritize a pre-purchase inspection, especially if the Jeep has seen trail use or heavy customization. Pay close attention to the condition of the roof, doors, interior trim, and underbody, since this model is built to be used in ways many SUVs never are.

Key things to evaluate:

• Trim level: The Sport trim is the base version, while the Sport S, Willys, Sahara, Rubicon, Rubicon X, and Rubicon 392 add progressively more equipment and capability. The base trim is the one most likely to leave out the convenience and safety features many shoppers will want.
• Powertrain: You can choose between a 3.6-liter V6 with a six-speed manual or a turbocharged 2.0-liter four-cylinder with an eight-speed automatic. The turbo four is slightly more efficient and feels livelier at higher elevations.
• Safety package: Blind-spot monitoring and rear cross-traffic alert are available on any Wrangler except the base Sport trim. Forward collision warning with automatic braking requires the Sahara, which also has a standard automatic transmission.
• Infotainment: The Uconnect 5 system includes a 12.3-inch touchscreen, wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, Bluetooth, and SiriusXM satellite radio preparation. Navigation and Jeep Connect connected services are available on more expensive models.
• Fuel efficiency: The turbocharged four-cylinder is rated at 21 mpg in combined driving, compared with 19-20 mpg for the V6.

Which 2025 Jeep Wrangler trim should I buy?

The 2025 Jeep Wrangler is offered in 7 trim levels: Sport, Sport S, Willys, Sahara, Rubicon, Rubicon X, and Rubicon 392.

Here's the short version:

• Sport: This is the entry point, but it is the most stripped-down version and is best only if you want the lowest starting price and plan to keep things basic.
• Sport S: This is the best-value trim for most shoppers because it adds more everyday usability while staying below the pricier off-road and luxury-focused versions.
• Willys: Choose this if you want a more trail-oriented setup without jumping all the way to the higher-priced Rubicon models.
• Sahara: This is the trim to target if you want more comfort and the safety-package path that unlocks forward collision warning with automatic braking.
• Rubicon: This is the right pick if off-road capability is your top priority and you want the most serious trail hardware in the mainstream lineup.
• Rubicon X: This is the more upscale Rubicon choice for buyers who want the capability of the Rubicon with additional equipment.
• Rubicon 392: This is the extreme performance choice, with a 470-horsepower 6.4-liter Hemi V8 and a six-figure price tag.

The safety-package gap at the base Sport trim is worth noting, since blind-spot monitoring and rear cross-traffic alert are not available there.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2025 Jeep Wrangler?

The market is leaning in your favor if you want a Wrangler now rather than waiting.

• Deal availability: 41.1% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 6,564 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 15.83% compared with last year.
• Clean inventory: 94.8% of listings are accident-free.

If you find a listing below $35,998, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2025 Jeep Wrangler's resale value?

The current average of $35,998 sits slightly below last year's $42,767.

That softer pricing can help you buy in at a more favorable point, but it also means future resale will depend heavily on how well the vehicle is equipped and maintained. Wranglers with desirable trims, clean histories, and strong condition should remain easier to move than heavily worn examples.

Because this model has broad appeal among buyers who want off-road capability and removable-top fun, well-kept examples should continue to attract attention. Vehicles with solid owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Is the 2025 Jeep Wrangler safe?

The 2025 Jeep Wrangler earns a four-star frontal-impact rating from NHTSA and a three-star rollover resistance rating from NHTSA. It also earns a Good rating for side-impact protection, a Good rating in the updated moderate overlap frontal-impact test, and a Marginal rating in the small overlap frontal-impact test from IIHS.

It earns a 4/10 safety score from our experts.

Side curtain airbags are standard for the front and rear seats, which is a meaningful improvement for this model. Blind-spot monitoring and rear cross-traffic alert are available on any Wrangler except the base Sport trim, while forward collision warning with automatic braking requires the Sahara.

The Marginal small-overlap result is the main caution point, and the Wrangler’s limited availability of advanced driver-assistance features means you should pay close attention to trim and option content when shopping used.

Should I buy a 2025 Jeep Wrangler or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2025 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2025 if:

• 41.1% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Accident-free inventory is excellent at 94.8% — clean inventory, standard diligence applies.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 15.83% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4/5 — a solid satisfaction signal.
• It adds standard power windows and door locks, plus the returning V6/automatic drivetrain.

Consider the 2024 if:

• At $36,634, the 2024 costs more than the current year's $35,998 average.
• It adds a more modern feel while keeping the Wrangler’s rugged character.

Consider the 2026 if:

• It adds an enhanced hinge system that makes the doors easier to remove.

The bottom line: The 2025 is the better primary buy if you want the strongest mix of current pricing, broad inventory, and the Wrangler’s core adventure appeal. If you are especially price-sensitive, shop the 2025 first and use the 2024 only if you find a cleaner or better-equipped example that justifies the higher average price.
