How much does the 2025 Jeep Wrangler cost?

Prices have softened 16.55% compared to this time last year, making it a favorable time to shop this model year.

There are 6,425 listings available, which suggests you have a healthy amount of inventory to compare.

Is the 2025 Jeep Wrangler a good car?

Generally — the 2025 Jeep Wrangler earns a 4/5 user rating and a 5.33/10 expert rating. The model scores 7/10 across Performance and Technology.

It is built around iconic looks, legendary off-road ability, and a rough, raw character that favors adventure over polish. The trade-offs are clear: it is noisy, rides poorly, and is not especially strong on value for money.

For you, that means the Wrangler makes the most sense if you want a vehicle that feels purpose-built for getting dirty, with removable top and doors as part of the appeal. 43.7% of listings are priced as good or great deals, which gives you some room to shop selectively.

Is the 2025 Jeep Wrangler reliable?

Owners rate it 4/5, a solid signal of long-term satisfaction.

The Wrangler’s core appeal is durability in a rugged, purpose-built package, and the expert evaluation reinforces that it is designed around function rather than polish. Its standard four-wheel drive, high ground clearance, and generous approach and departure angles support that mission.

The turbocharged four-cylinder is described as a fine powerplant, and the V6/automatic drivetrain returns to the lineup this year. If you are buying used, the main long-term ownership risk is accepting a vehicle that can be rewarding off-road but tiring if you expect everyday refinement.

What should I look for when buying a used 2025 Jeep Wrangler?

Accident-free inventory is excellent at 94.7% — clean inventory, standard diligence applies.

You should still run a vehicle history report and prioritize a pre-purchase inspection, especially if the Wrangler has been used off-road or heavily modified. Focus on body condition, roof and door fitment, and signs of hard use, since this model’s appeal often comes from features that invite more adventurous ownership.

Key things to evaluate:

• Trim level: The 2025 Wrangler is offered in Sport, Sport S, Willys, Sahara, Rubicon, Rubicon X, and Rubicon 392 trims. The base Sport is the most stripped-down version, while the higher trims add more equipment and capability; the Rubicon 392 stands apart with a 470-horsepower 6.4-liter Hemi V8 and a six-figure price tag.
• Powertrain: You can choose a 3.6-liter V6 with a six-speed manual or a turbocharged 2.0-liter four-cylinder with an eight-speed automatic. The four-cylinder makes 270 horsepower and 295 pound-feet of torque, and it is marginally more fuel-efficient at 21 mpg in combined driving versus 19-20 mpg for the V6.
• Safety package: Blind-spot monitoring and rear cross-traffic alert are available on any Wrangler except the base Sport trim. Forward collision warning with automatic braking requires the Sahara, which has a standard automatic transmission. Adaptive cruise control and automatic high-beam headlights are also available, and rear parking sensors come with the Active Safety Group option pack.
• Infotainment: The Uconnect 5 system includes a 12.3-inch touchscreen, Bluetooth, wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, and SiriusXM satellite radio preparation. More expensive models offer navigation and Jeep Connect connected services, including a Wi-Fi hotspot, Adventure Guides, and GPS Trail Logs.
• Fuel efficiency: The turbocharged four-cylinder is rated at 21 mpg in combined driving, while the V6 returns 19-20 mpg combined.

Which 2025 Jeep Wrangler trim should I buy?

The 2025 Jeep Wrangler is offered in 7 trim levels: Sport, Sport S, Willys, Sahara, Rubicon, Rubicon X, Rubicon 392.

Here's the short version:

• Sport: This is the entry point, but it is the most basic version and lacks the extra convenience and safety equipment you may want on a used Wrangler.
• Sport S: This is the best-value trim for many shoppers because it adds more everyday usability while staying below the pricier off-road and luxury-oriented versions.
• Willys: Choose this if you want a more rugged personality and a stronger off-road focus without jumping all the way to the upper trims.
• Sahara: This is the trim to target if you want the forward collision warning with automatic braking that is not available on lower trims.
• Rubicon: This is the right pick if off-road capability is your top priority and you want the Wrangler’s more serious trail hardware.
• Rubicon X: This is the more upscale off-road choice if you want a higher-end take on the Rubicon formula.
• Rubicon 392: This is the extreme-performance choice, with the 470-horsepower V8 and the highest price tag in the range.

Blind-spot monitoring and rear cross-traffic alert are available on any Wrangler except the base Sport trim, so that is an important safety-package cutoff to keep in mind.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2025 Jeep Wrangler?

The market is tilted in your favor right now.

• Deal availability: 43.7% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 6,425 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 16.55% compared with last year.
• Clean inventory: 94.7% of listings are accident-free.

If you find a listing below $36,335, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2025 Jeep Wrangler's resale value?

The current average of $36,335 sits slightly below last year's $43,543.

That price drop suggests the Wrangler has become more approachable for used buyers, which can help demand in the near term. For a future seller, it also means you may need to be realistic about pricing if you want to move the vehicle quickly.

The Wrangler’s strong identity, off-road reputation, and broad appeal should help it remain recognizable in the used market. Vehicles with solid owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Is the 2025 Jeep Wrangler safe?

The 2025 Jeep Wrangler earns a four-star frontal-impact rating and a three-star rollover resistance rating from NHTSA, while IIHS gives it Good ratings for side-impact protection and the updated moderate overlap frontal-impact test, plus a Marginal rating in the small overlap frontal-impact test.

It earns a 4/10 safety score from our experts.

Jeep has made side curtain airbags standard for the front and rear seats, which is a meaningful improvement. Blind-spot monitoring and rear cross-traffic alert are available on any Wrangler except the base Sport trim, while forward collision warning with automatic braking requires the Sahara.

The main caveat is the small overlap frontal-impact result, where the Wrangler tipped onto its side. That is a reminder that this is still a vehicle built around capability first, not maximum crash-test polish.

Should I buy a 2025 Jeep Wrangler or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2025 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2025 if:

• 43.7% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Accident-free inventory is excellent at 94.7% — clean inventory, standard diligence applies.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 16.55% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4/5 — a solid satisfaction signal.
• This year brings standard power windows and door locks, plus the return of the V6/automatic drivetrain.

Consider the 2024 if:

• At $36,872, the 2024 costs more than the current year's $36,335 average.
• It adds a more modern feel and a plug-in hybrid option with fuel-saving capability.

Consider the 2026 if:

• It adds an enhanced hinge system that makes the doors easier to remove.

The bottom line: The 2025 is the better primary target if you want the strongest mix of current pricing, inventory, and year-specific updates. If you are especially price-sensitive, shop the 2025 first and use the 2024 or 2026 only if a specific feature or configuration matters more than value.
