How much does the 2025 Hyundai Santa Fe cost?

Prices have softened 10.66% compared to this time last year, making it a favorable time to shop this model year.

There are 3,769 listings available, which suggests you should have a workable amount of inventory to compare.

Is the 2025 Hyundai Santa Fe a good car?

Yes — the 2025 Hyundai Santa Fe earns a 5/5 user rating and a 7.67/10 expert rating. The standout strength is Technology at 9/10.

The Santa Fe’s appeal starts with its bold design and continues with a longer wheelbase that adds interior space for family use. It also brings multiple powertrain options and a feature set that makes sense in a three-row crossover.

The trade-offs are clear: it is not as spacious as some rivals, and top trims get expensive. If you want a distinctive family SUV with strong tech and a practical layout, this one fits that brief well.

39.0% of listings are priced as good or great deals, which gives you some room to shop selectively.

Is the 2025 Hyundai Santa Fe reliable?

Owners rate it 5/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

The Santa Fe also benefits from Hyundai’s strong warranty coverage, which supports ownership confidence over time. Its family-focused design and broad standard feature set reinforce the sense that it is built to serve daily use well.

The performance notes point to a stable chassis, firm brake feel, and responsive steering, which are all encouraging signs for everyday durability and drivability. For used buyers, the main long-term risk is making sure the vehicle you choose has been maintained well, especially if you plan to keep it for many years.

What should I look for when buying a used 2025 Hyundai Santa Fe?

Accident-free inventory is excellent at 93.8% — clean inventory, standard diligence applies.

You should still run a history report and prioritize a pre-purchase inspection, especially if you are considering a higher-mileage example or a top trim. Focus on overall condition, interior wear, and whether the features you want are actually present on the specific listing.

Key things to evaluate:

• Trim level: The Santa Fe is available in five trims: SE, SEL, XRT, Limited, and Calligraphy. The base trim starts with cloth seating and fewer premium touches, while upper trims add richer materials, more upscale equipment, and in the top Calligraphy, captain’s chairs instead of a second-row bench.
• Powertrain: The standard setup is a 2.5-liter turbocharged engine with 277 horsepower and 311 lb.-ft. of torque, paired with an eight-speed dual-clutch automatic. Front-wheel drive and all-wheel drive are available across the lineup except the XRT, which is AWD only.
• Safety package: Standard equipment includes adaptive cruise control with stop-and-go, blind-spot monitoring, rear cross traffic alert, front and rear parking sensors, forward-collision avoidance assist, lane keeping and lane following assist, and safe exit assist. Rear parking collision avoidance assist, side park distance warning, and Highway Drive Assist are reserved for higher trims.
• Infotainment: Every trim gets a 12.3-inch touchscreen, wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, Bluelink app connectivity, and over-the-air updates. Only the top two trims get a digital gauge cluster of the same size.
• Fuel efficiency: The ICE model is rated at 24 mpg combined with front-wheel drive or 23 mpg with all-wheel drive. The XRT returns 22 mpg combined.

Which 2025 Hyundai Santa Fe trim should I buy?

The 2025 Hyundai Santa Fe is offered in 5 trim levels: SE, SEL, XRT, Limited, and Calligraphy.

Here's the short version:

• SE: This is the entry point, so it makes sense if you want the Santa Fe’s core design, standard tech, and family-friendly layout at the lowest starting price.
• SEL: This is the best-value trim for many shoppers because it adds more everyday comfort and convenience while staying below the pricier upper trims.
• XRT: Choose this if you want the more rugged-looking version with all-terrain tires, extra ground clearance, and AWD-only hardware.
• Limited: This is the step-up choice if you want a more premium feel and more available equipment without going all the way to the top.
• Calligraphy: Pick this if you want the most upscale Santa Fe, including the highest-end materials and the most available features, but it is the most expensive route.

The safety package is strong across the lineup, but some driver-assistance features still require moving up from the base trim.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2025 Hyundai Santa Fe?

This looks like a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you can shop carefully without expecting every listing to be a bargain.

• Deal availability: 39.0% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 3,769 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 10.66% compared with last year.
• Clean inventory: 93.8% of listings are accident-free.

If you find a listing below $32,276, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2025 Hyundai Santa Fe's resale value?

The current average of $32,600 sits slightly below last year's $36,489.

That price movement suggests the Santa Fe has become more accessible for used buyers, which can help demand stay healthy in the near term. For a future seller, that means your resale outcome will depend heavily on condition, mileage, and trim desirability rather than broad market momentum alone.

Because the model still has strong feature content and broad appeal as a family crossover, well-kept examples should remain easier to move than stripped or heavily worn ones. Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 5/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Is the 2025 Hyundai Santa Fe safe?

The 2025 Hyundai Santa Fe earns a four-star overall safety rating from NHTSA, and the IIHS rated it Good in all sections except headlight and LATCH, where it scored Acceptable.

It earns a 7/10 safety score from our experts.

Standard safety equipment includes adaptive cruise control with stop-and-go, blind-spot monitoring, rear cross traffic alert, front and rear parking sensors, forward-collision avoidance assist, lane keeping assist, lane following assist, and safe exit assist. Higher trims add rear parking collision avoidance assist, side park distance warning, Highway Drive Assist, blind spot avoidance, and the Blind-View Monitor.

One caveat is that some of the more advanced driver-assistance features are not standard on every trim, so you should verify the exact equipment on the listing you are considering.

Should I buy a 2025 Hyundai Santa Fe or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2025 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2025 if:

• 39.0% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Accident-free inventory is excellent at 93.8% — clean inventory, standard diligence applies.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 10.66% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 5/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.
• It combines bold styling with strong technology and a practical family layout.

Consider the 2024 if:

• At $31,012, the 2024 costs less than the current year's $32,600 average.
• The 2024 is a full redesign with bold styling and added substance.

Consider the 2026 if:

• The 2026 adds a new transmission, more safety features, and minor equipment updates.

The bottom line: If you want the freshest used Santa Fe with strong tech, broad standard safety content, and a market that still offers room to negotiate, the 2025 is the primary path to consider. If your priority is saving money, the 2024 is the better value play, while the 2026 is worth watching if you want the latest updates and can stretch your budget.
