How much does the 2025 Hyundai Santa Fe cost?

Prices have softened 11.55% compared to this time last year, making it a favorable time to shop this model year.

There are 4,082 listings available, which suggests you should have a solid range of inventory to compare.

Is the 2025 Hyundai Santa Fe a good car?

Yes — the 2025 Hyundai Santa Fe earns a 5/5 user rating and a 7.7/10 expert rating. The standout strength is Technology at 9/10.

The Santa Fe is aimed squarely at family use, with a longer wheelbase that gives it more interior space and a feature set that fits a three-row crossover well. The bold styling is a major part of its appeal, and the test-drive notes also point to multiple powertrain options and a great warranty as key strengths.

The trade-offs are that it is not the roomiest choice in its class, and top trims can get expensive. If you want a distinctive family SUV with strong tech and broad appeal, it fits that brief well.

33.5% of listings are priced as good or great deals, which gives you some room to shop selectively.

Is the 2025 Hyundai Santa Fe reliable?

Owners rate it 5/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

The Santa Fe’s reliability case is helped by Hyundai’s strong warranty coverage and the way the vehicle is positioned as a practical family crossover. The expert notes also point to a stable, composed driving feel, which supports the impression of a well-sorted daily driver.

The performance notes describe firm brake feel and responsive steering, along with a standard turbocharged engine and available all-wheel drive across most of the lineup. On the ownership side, Hyundai’s warranty coverage is a meaningful perk for used buyers who want extra protection.

For used buyers, the main long-term risk is making sure the specific vehicle you choose has been maintained well, especially if you plan to keep it for many years.

What should I look for when buying a used 2025 Hyundai Santa Fe?

Accident-free inventory is excellent at 93.3% — clean inventory, standard diligence applies.

You should still run a history report and prioritize a pre-purchase inspection, especially if you are considering a higher-mileage example or a top trim with more equipment. Focus on condition details that matter in a family SUV: interior wear, electronics, and how well the cabin features work day to day.

Key things to evaluate:

• Trim level: The Santa Fe is available in five trims: SE, SEL, XRT, Limited, and Calligraphy. The base trim misses some of the higher-end convenience and driver-assistance features, while the top trims add more luxury and tech, including captain’s chairs on Calligraphy.
• Powertrain: The standard 2.5-liter turbocharged engine makes 277 horsepower and is paired with an eight-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission. Front-wheel drive is available across the lineup except on the XRT, which is AWD only.
• Safety package: Standard equipment includes adaptive cruise control with stop-and-go, blind-spot monitoring, rear cross traffic alert, front and rear parking sensors, forward-collision avoidance assist, lane keeping and lane following assist, and safe exit assist. Rear parking collision avoidance assist, side park distance warning, and Highway Drive Assist are reserved for higher trims.
• Infotainment: Every trim gets a 12.3-inch touchscreen, wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, and over-the-air updates. Only the top two trims get a digital gauge cluster of the same size.
• Fuel efficiency: The ICE model is rated at 24 mpg combined with front-wheel drive or 23 mpg combined with all-wheel drive. The XRT returns 22 mpg combined.

Which 2025 Hyundai Santa Fe trim should I buy?

The 2025 Hyundai Santa Fe is offered in 5 trim levels: SE, SEL, XRT, Limited, and Calligraphy.

Here's the short version:

• SE: This is the entry point, so it makes sense if you want the Santa Fe’s bold design and core family-friendly space without paying for extra luxury features.
• SEL: This is the best-value trim for most shoppers because it adds more everyday usability and sits at the budget-minded sweet spot in the lineup.
• XRT: Choose this if you want the more rugged-looking version with off-road-focused hardware, including all-terrain tires and extra ground clearance.
• Limited: This is the better pick if you want a more upscale feel and more of the Santa Fe’s premium equipment without going all the way to the top.
• Calligraphy: This is the luxury choice, with the most upscale cabin treatment and the most premium feature set, but it is also the most expensive.

The top two trims get the Blind-View Monitor, and the top trim adds blind spot avoidance, so safety-tech shoppers may want to move up the lineup.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2025 Hyundai Santa Fe?

This looks like a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you can shop carefully and still find worthwhile listings.

• Deal availability: 33.5% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 4,082 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 11.55% compared with last year.
• Clean inventory: 93.3% of listings are accident-free.

If you find a listing below $31,802, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2025 Hyundai Santa Fe's resale value?

The current average of $31,802 sits slightly below last year's $35,956.

That price movement suggests the Santa Fe has already absorbed a meaningful amount of depreciation, which can help future resale stability if you buy at the right price. If you purchase near the lower end of the current range, you may reduce the risk of taking the steepest early hit.

Strong feature content and broad family appeal can help support demand later, especially for well-kept examples with desirable trims. The bold styling may narrow the audience somewhat, but it also helps the Santa Fe stand out in a crowded segment.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 5/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Is the 2025 Hyundai Santa Fe safe?

The 2025 Hyundai Santa Fe earns four-star ratings from NHTSA and a Top Safety Pick rating from IIHS.

It earns a 7/10 safety score from our experts.

Standard safety equipment includes adaptive cruise control with stop-and-go, blind-spot monitoring, rear cross traffic alert, front and rear parking sensors, forward-collision avoidance assist, lane keeping and lane following assist, and safe exit assist. Higher trims add rear parking collision avoidance assist, side park distance warning, Highway Drive Assist, and additional blind-spot-related features.

One caveat is that the IIHS result includes Acceptable scores in the headlight and LATCH categories, so you should pay attention to trim-specific lighting and child-seat usability details when shopping.

Should I buy a 2025 Hyundai Santa Fe or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2025 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2025 if:

• 33.5% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Accident-free inventory is excellent at 93.3% — clean inventory, standard diligence applies.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 11.55% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 5/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.
• It combines bold styling with strong tech and family-friendly space.

Consider the 2024 if:

• At $30,430, the 2024 costs less than the current year's $31,802 average.
• It brings a full redesign with more space and standard third-row seating.

Consider the 2026 if:

• It adds a new transmission, more safety features, and minor equipment updates.

The bottom line: If you want the strongest mix of current-market value, tech, and family appeal, the 2025 is the primary pick. If your budget is tighter, the 2024 can save you money while still delivering the redesign benefits.
