Is the 2025 Kia Sportage a good car?

Yes — the 5/5 user rating points to strong shopper satisfaction, and the 2025 Sportage backs that up with a well-equipped cabin, broad trim and powertrain choices, and a modern feature set. The standard 12.3-inch touchscreen, matching digital instrument display, wireless smartphone integration, Kia Connect, and keyless entry with remote start give it a strong value proposition right away. It also fits buyers who want a compact SUV with available hybrid efficiency, all-wheel drive, and extra rugged styling on select versions. With 36.2% of listings marked as good or great deals, you have a decent chance of finding a competitive offer.

Is the 2025 Kia Sportage reliable?

Owners rate it 5/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

The 2025 Sportage’s appeal comes from its broad equipment list, available safety and convenience features, and the flexibility of its gasoline, hybrid, and plug-in hybrid lineup. It is also described as a current-generation model with a modern cabin and strong everyday usability, which supports confidence for used buyers. For long-term ownership, your main risk is choosing a poorly maintained example or a trim that lacks the features you expect.

What should I look for when buying a used 2025 Kia Sportage?

Accident-free inventory is excellent at 91.8% — clean inventory, standard diligence applies.

You should still run a vehicle history report and verify that the specific listing matches the trim and equipment you want. Prioritize a pre-purchase inspection, especially if you are considering a higher-mileage example or a vehicle with optional safety equipment. Focus on overall condition, feature functionality, and maintenance records so you can separate a clean, well-kept Sportage from one that only looks good on paper.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2025 Kia Sportage?

This is a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you can shop patiently and still find worthwhile listings.

• Deal availability: 36.2% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 4,112 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 5.59% compared with last year.

If you find a listing below $23,742, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2025 Kia Sportage's resale value?

The current average of $27,623 sits slightly below last year's $29,260.

That price movement suggests the market has eased, which can help you buy at a better entry point today. For a future seller, softer current pricing can mean less immediate upside, but it also creates a more accessible used-market position if the vehicle remains desirable. The Sportage’s broad appeal, modern equipment, and strong shopper satisfaction should help support demand over time.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 5/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2025 Kia Sportage or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2025 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2025 if:

• 36.2% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Accident-free inventory is excellent at 91.8% — clean inventory, standard diligence applies.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 5.59% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 5/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.

Consider the 2026 if:

• At $28,147, the 2026 costs more than the current year's $27,623 average.
• It brings revised styling for the current-generation Sportage.

The bottom line: If you want the better value today, the 2025 is the stronger buy because pricing has eased and inventory is healthy. If you care more about updated styling and are willing to pay a bit more, the 2026 is the better secondary path. For price-sensitive buyers, the 2025 gives you the more compelling mix of deal availability, condition, and overall equipment.
