How much does the 2025 Hyundai Santa Fe cost?

Prices have softened 11.05% compared to this time last year, making it a favorable time to shop this model year.

There are 3,898 listings available, which suggests solid inventory for comparison shopping.

Is the 2025 Hyundai Santa Fe a good car?

Yes — the 2025 Hyundai Santa Fe earns a 5/5 user rating and a 7.7/10 expert rating. The standout strength is Technology at 9/10.

The Santa Fe’s bold styling and high-tech three-row layout give it a clear identity, and its longer wheelbase helps create more interior space. It also brings multiple powertrain options, impressive technology, and a great warranty, which broadens its appeal if you want a family-friendly SUV that does not blend into the crowd.

The trade-offs are real: the design will not suit everyone, it is not as spacious as some rivals, and top trims can get expensive. The market still shows 39.0% good or great deals, so you have room to shop carefully.

Is the 2025 Hyundai Santa Fe reliable?

Owners rate it 5/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

Hyundai’s warranty coverage is a major confidence booster, with a 10-year/100,000-mile powertrain warranty, a five-year/60,000-mile limited warranty, and five years of unlimited-mile roadside assistance. The Santa Fe also feels stable in corners, with firm brake feel and responsive steering, which supports the impression of a well-sorted family SUV.

The turbocharged engine delivers strong output, though you should expect some turbo lag and occasional hesitation from the transmission. For used buyers, that means the biggest long-term risk is less about basic durability and more about whether the vehicle was maintained well and whether its drivability quirks bother you.

What should I look for when buying a used 2025 Hyundai Santa Fe?

Accident-free inventory is excellent at 92.3% — clean inventory, standard diligence applies.

You should still run a vehicle history report and prioritize a pre-purchase inspection, especially if you are considering a higher-mileage example or a top trim. Pay close attention to interior condition, electronic features, and any signs of squeaks, rattles, or uneven wear, since those details matter more on a feature-rich SUV like this.

Key things to evaluate:

• Trim level: The Santa Fe is available in five trims: SE, SEL, XRT, Limited, and Calligraphy. The bottom three trims ride on 18-inch wheels, while the top Calligraphy gets 21-inch wheels. The XRT adds chrome and black exterior trim plus black roof rails, and the Calligraphy swaps the second-row bench for captain’s chairs.
• Powertrain: The standard 2.5-liter turbocharged engine makes 277 horsepower and 311 lb.-ft. of torque, with front-wheel drive or all-wheel drive available across the lineup except the XRT, which is AWD only. The transmission is an eight-speed dual-clutch automatic.
• Safety package: Standard equipment includes adaptive cruise control with stop-and-go, blind-spot monitoring, rear cross traffic alert, front and rear parking sensors, forward-collision avoidance assist, lane keeping assist, lane following assist, and safe exit assist. Rear parking collision avoidance assist, side park distance warning, and Highway Drive Assist require higher trims.
• Infotainment: Every trim gets a 12.3-inch touchscreen, standard wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, and over-the-air updates. Only the top two trims get a digital gauge cluster of the same size, and navigation is not built into every trim.
• Fuel efficiency: The ICE model is rated at 24 mpg combined with front-wheel drive or 23 mpg with all-wheel drive. The XRT returns 22 mpg combined.

Which 2025 Hyundai Santa Fe trim should I buy?

The 2025 Hyundai Santa Fe is offered in 5 trim levels: SE, SEL, XRT, Limited, and Calligraphy.

Here's the short version:

• SE: This is the entry point, but it still gives you the core Santa Fe experience, including the standard 12.3-inch touchscreen, wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, and the full base safety suite. It makes sense if you want the lowest-cost way into the model.
• SEL: This is the best-value trim for most shoppers because it adds more of the Santa Fe’s useful equipment without pushing you into the expensive upper end. It also unlocks the expanded driver monitor system, which can bring the car to a stop and activate the hazards if the driver is incapacitated after ignored warnings.
• XRT: Choose this if you want the more rugged-looking version and plan to use the Santa Fe on dirt roads or rougher surfaces. It adds all-terrain tires, extra ground clearance, and off-road-focused exterior details, but it is not a true rock crawler.
• Limited: This trim is for you if you want a more premium feel and are willing to pay for it. It sits near the expensive end of the lineup, so it makes the most sense if you value the added equipment more than value.
• Calligraphy: This is the top luxury-leaning choice, with the most upscale presentation, 21-inch wheels, captain’s chairs, a head-up display, and the blind-spot avoidance feature. It is the trim to buy only if you want the most content and are comfortable with the price.

The safety package is strong across the lineup, but some driver-assistance features still require higher trims, so check equipment carefully before you buy.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2025 Hyundai Santa Fe?

This is a moderate market for selective buyers, so you can shop with some leverage if you are patient.

• Deal availability: 39.0% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 3,898 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 11.05% compared with last year.
• Clean inventory: 92.3% of listings are accident-free.

If you find a listing below $31,555, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2025 Hyundai Santa Fe's resale value?

The current average of $31,555 sits slightly below last year's $35,474.

That decline suggests the market has already adjusted downward, which can help you as a buyer today but may limit upside if you plan to resell soon. For a future seller, the current pricing trend means you should expect a more competitive resale environment than last year.

Even so, the Santa Fe’s strong equipment, broad appeal, and high satisfaction rating help support demand. Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 5/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Is the 2025 Hyundai Santa Fe safe?

The 2025 Hyundai Santa Fe earns a four-star overall safety rating from NHTSA, and the IIHS rated it Good in all sections except headlights and LATCH, where it scored Acceptable.

It earns a 7/10 safety score from our experts.

Standard safety equipment includes adaptive cruise control with stop-and-go, blind-spot monitoring, rear cross traffic alert, front and rear parking sensors, forward-collision avoidance assist, lane keeping assist, lane following assist, and safe exit assist. Higher trims add rear parking collision avoidance assist, side park distance warning, Highway Drive Assist, blind spot avoidance, and the Blind-View Monitor.

One caveat is that some of the more advanced driver-assistance features are not standard on every trim, so you should verify the exact safety content on the used example you are considering.

Should I buy a 2025 Hyundai Santa Fe or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2025 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2025 if:

• 39.0% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Accident-free inventory is excellent at 92.3% — clean inventory, standard diligence applies.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 11.05% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 5/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.
• It combines bold styling with a longer wheelbase, strong tech, and a great warranty.

Consider the 2024 if:

• At $30,159, the 2024 costs less than the current year's $31,555 average.
• It introduced the Santa Fe’s fully redesigned look and a more substantial feel.

Consider the 2026 if:

• It adds a new transmission, more safety features, and minor equipment updates.

The bottom line: If you want the strongest mix of current pricing, inventory, and satisfaction, the 2025 is the primary pick. If your budget is tighter, the 2024 is the value alternative, while the 2026 makes sense if you want the newer updates and can wait for that model year.
