Used 2025 Honda Ridgeline for Sale near South Dakota

How much does the 2025 Honda Ridgeline cost?

Prices have softened 7.62% compared to this time last year, making it a favorable time to shop this model year.

There are 1,618 listings available, which gives you a solid pool of used Ridgelines to compare.

Is the 2025 Honda Ridgeline a good car?

Yes — the 2025 Honda Ridgeline earns a 5/5 user rating and a 7.8/10 expert rating. The standout strength is Form and function at 9/10.

It stands out because Honda takes a different approach to midsize pickups, using crossover-like unibody construction and clever storage solutions that make it easier to live with than many rivals. It also comes standard with all-wheel drive, and its comfortable ride and great handling add to its everyday appeal.

The trade-offs are clear: it does not offer the towing capacity or off-road capability of more traditional trucks, and its technology is described as outdated. For you, that means the Ridgeline makes the most sense if you want comfort and usability first, not maximum truck toughness.

33.1% of listings are priced as good or great deals, which suggests there are worthwhile opportunities if you shop carefully.

Is the 2025 Honda Ridgeline reliable?

Owners rate it 5/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

The Ridgeline’s unibody construction helps it feel more solid than traditional body-on-frame trucks, and it also helps damp road noise and vibration. Its fully independent suspension and torque-vectoring all-wheel-drive system support a refined driving experience, and the V6 and nine-speed automatic are described as an excellent combination.

Honda’s standard maintenance coverage aligns closely with what other brands offer, and the truck’s overall refinement and durable-feeling interior support the case for steady ownership. For used buyers, the main long-term risk is that its age shows up in technology and capability limits rather than in basic livability.

What should I look for when buying a used 2025 Honda Ridgeline?

Accident-free inventory is excellent at 92.6% — clean inventory, standard diligence applies.

You should still run a vehicle history report and prioritize a pre-purchase inspection, especially if you’re considering a higher-mileage example or one that’s been used for hauling. Focus on overall condition, tire wear, brake wear, and whether the cabin and cargo areas show signs of hard use.

Key things to evaluate:

• Trim level: The Ridgeline remains unique among pickups because it uses unibody construction instead of the body-on-frame setup used by rivals. It also has a more curvaceous, less rugged look than many midsize trucks, and the base Sport skips SiriusXM satellite radio.
• Powertrain: You get a single powertrain for 2025: a 3.5-liter V6 with 280 horsepower and a nine-speed automatic, paired with standard all-wheel drive. It’s smooth and responsive, but the engine start-stop system is slow.
• Safety package: Honda Sensing includes forward collision warning, automatic emergency braking, lane-departure warning, lane-keep assist, adaptive cruise control, blind-spot monitoring, rear cross-traffic alert, and Road Departure Mitigation. The lack of a 360-degree camera system is a notable gap.
• Infotainment: Every model gets a 9-inch touchscreen, Bluetooth, wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, and wireless phone charging. The interface is functional, but the screen is smaller than some rivals’ and the graphics feel dated.
• Fuel efficiency: Most models return 21 mpg combined, with 18 mpg city and 24 mpg highway.

Which 2025 Honda Ridgeline trim should I buy?

The 2025 Honda Ridgeline is offered in 4 trim levels: Sport, RTL, TrailSport, and Black Edition.

Here's the short version:

• Sport: This is the entry point, and it gives you the Ridgeline’s core strengths: standard all-wheel drive, the V6, the 9-inch touchscreen, wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, and the practical, no-nonsense cabin. It’s the trim to start with if you want the best value.
• RTL: This is the step-up choice if you want a more upscale feel without jumping to the top of the range. It keeps the Ridgeline’s comfort and usability while adding more equipment than the Sport.
• TrailSport: This is the one to choose if you want the most off-road-oriented Ridgeline. It adds all-terrain tires, unique suspension tuning, and a front skid plate, though it still isn’t as capable off-road as more traditional rivals.
• Black Edition: This is the top trim, and it adds the most premium presentation, including an eight-speaker audio system and rear USB-C ports. It’s the pick if you want the most features and the most polished cabin.

The safety package is standard across the lineup, so you don’t need to move up trims to get Honda Sensing.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2025 Honda Ridgeline?

This is a moderate market for selective buyers.

• Deal availability: 33.1% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 1,618 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 7.62% compared with last year.
• Clean inventory: 92.6% of listings are accident-free.

If you find a listing below $36,011, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2025 Honda Ridgeline's resale value?

The current average of $36,011 sits slightly below last year's $38,981.

That softer pricing can help you as a buyer now, but it also means future sellers may face a market that is still adjusting downward. If the trend continues, resale values could remain under pressure compared with last year’s level.

Even so, the Ridgeline’s strong practicality and broad appeal can help support demand among shoppers who want comfort and usability over ruggedness. Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 5/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Is the 2025 Honda Ridgeline safe?

The 2025 Honda Ridgeline earns a five-star overall rating from NHTSA, with five-star ratings in frontal and side crash tests and four-star ratings in rollover testing.

It earns an 8/10 safety score from our experts.

Honda Sensing is the standard driver-assistance suite, and it includes forward collision warning, automatic emergency braking, lane-departure warning, lane-keep assist, adaptive cruise control, blind-spot monitoring, rear cross-traffic alert, and Road Departure Mitigation. The lack of a 360-degree camera system is a notable omission.

IIHS testing showed a Good score in the updated side crash test, a Good score in the original moderate front overlap test, an Acceptable score in the small overlap front test, and a Marginal headlight rating. That headlight result is the main caveat to keep in mind.

Should I buy a 2025 Honda Ridgeline or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2025 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2025 if:

• 33.1% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Accident-free inventory is excellent at 92.6% — clean inventory, standard diligence applies.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 7.62% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 5/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.
• The 2025 carries over unchanged after the 2024 updates, so you’re getting the latest version of that refreshed setup.

Consider the 2024 if:

• At $34,361, the 2024 costs less than the current year's $36,011 average.
• It adds a new TrailSport trim, tech updates, and a more traditional pickup look.

The bottom line: If you want the newest version of the Ridgeline’s current formula, the 2025 is the cleanest choice. If you’re focused on price and want many of the same core strengths for less, the 2024 is the smarter value play.
