Yes — the 2025 Honda Civic Hybrid earns a 4.5/5 user rating and a 7.17/10 expert rating.

The standout strength is Form and function at 8/10.

The Civic Hybrid fits well if you want a compact car that feels current, offers sedan or hatchback body styles, and brings more power along with significantly improved fuel economy. It also keeps the cabin comfortable and polished for the class. The main trade-off is that all-wheel drive is not available, and the hybrid’s price sits above the regular Civic models.

The market also looks reasonably supportive, with 26.3% of listings marked as good or great deals.

Is the 2025 Honda Civic Hybrid reliable?

Owners rate it 4.5/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

The Civic Hybrid’s appeal for reliability-minded shoppers starts with its straightforward hybrid setup and its emphasis on smooth, quiet operation. It also benefits from a comfort-focused suspension tune and a powertrain that transitions cleanly between electric and gasoline power. Honda’s hybrid system is described as seamless in normal driving, which is the kind of behavior you want in a used car you plan to keep for years.

If you’re shopping used, the main long-term ownership risk is making sure the hybrid system and overall condition have been maintained properly, especially on higher-mileage examples.

What should I look for when buying a used 2025 Honda Civic Hybrid?

Accident-free inventory is solid at 86.7% — always verify the vehicle history report.

You should still run a history report on any car you’re considering, even if the listing looks clean. Prioritize a pre-purchase inspection so you can confirm the hybrid system, brakes, tires, and suspension are in good shape. Focus on overall condition and equipment level, since the Civic Hybrid’s value can vary meaningfully by trim and feature content.

Key things to evaluate:

• Trim level: The Civic Hybrid lineup adds meaningful equipment as you move up, with the top trim bringing the most upscale tech and convenience features. Base versions are the ones most likely to leave you wanting more if you care about a richer cabin or more advanced amenities.
• Powertrain: The hybrid uses a 2.0-liter four-cylinder engine with two electric motors for 200 hp and 232 lb-ft of torque, and it is expected to return 36% more miles to the gallon than the prior setup.
• Safety package: Standard driver assistance includes forward collision warning with automatic emergency braking, lane-keep assist, adaptive cruise control, a traffic sign reader, and automatic high beams. The Sport trim adds a blind-spot monitor with rear cross-traffic alerts, while the top trim adds parking-speed automatic braking, parking proximity sensors, and rain-sensing wipers.
• Infotainment: The base trim includes a seven-inch touchscreen, HondaLink app connectivity, a four-speaker audio system, Apple CarPlay, and Android Auto. Higher trims add a digital instrument panel, a larger nine-inch touchscreen, a 12-speaker Bose audio system, wireless phone integration, wireless charging, and Google Built-in on the top trim.
• Fuel efficiency: The hybrid is estimated at 49 mpg in combined driving, while the non-hybrid LX and Sport are estimated at 36 mpg and 35 mpg combined, respectively.

Which 2025 Honda Civic Hybrid trim should I buy?

The 2025 Honda Civic Hybrid is offered in 2 trim levels: Sport Hybrid and Sport Touring Hybrid.

Here's the short version:

• Sport Hybrid: This is the better-value choice if you want the hybrid powertrain, a sunroof, heated front seats, and dual-zone automatic climate control without paying for the top trim’s extra tech. It gives you the core hybrid experience with a strong equipment jump over the non-hybrid Sport.
• Sport Touring Hybrid: Choose this if you want the most complete version of the Civic Hybrid, especially the added luxury and technology upgrades. It’s the trim that makes the car feel most premium.

The safety package expands as you move up, with the Sport adding blind-spot monitoring and rear cross-traffic alerts, and the top trim adding parking-focused safety features.

Should I buy a 2025 Honda Civic Hybrid or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2025 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2025 if:

• 26.3% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Accident-free inventory is solid at 86.7% — always verify the vehicle history report.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 3.36% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4.5/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.
• The 2025 model year stands out for adding a new hybrid model with more power and significantly improved fuel economy, plus a slight styling refresh and new features.

The bottom line: If you want the strongest mix of efficiency, updated features, and current-market pricing, the 2025 is the one to target. If you’re mainly trying to minimize upfront cost, you can still shop carefully and focus on the best-priced clean examples, but the 2025’s hybrid-specific improvements make it the more compelling pick for most buyers.
