Used 2025 Genesis GV80 for Sale nearBaton Rouge, LA

How much does the 2025 Genesis GV80 cost?

Prices have softened 15.14% compared to this time last year, making it a favorable time to shop this model year.

There are 1,919 listings available, which suggests solid inventory for shoppers comparing trims and prices.

Is the 2025 Genesis GV80 a good car?

The 2025 Genesis GV80 earns an 8/10 expert rating.

The standout strength is Safety at 9/10.

It’s a stylish luxury SUV that gets a redesign inside and out for 2025, with a more sophisticated cabin and updated tech. It also undercuts some European rivals on price, which helps it stand out if you want luxury presentation without stretching as far.

The trade-offs are clear: the seats are far from comfortable, and the SUV returns poor fuel economy. It’s also more about refreshed presentation than mechanical change, since the powertrain carries over.

With 41.8% of listings marked as good or great deals, the market gives you some room to shop carefully.

Is the 2025 Genesis GV80 reliable?

The 2025 Genesis GV80 keeps the same powertrain for 2025, and the expert evaluation describes it as a strong contender in the luxury crossover class. It also emphasizes that the SUV remains quiet enough for peaceful conversation and that the brakes feel firm and linear, which supports a composed ownership experience.

Genesis also backs the GV80 with a 5 year/60,000 mile basic warranty and a 10 year/100,000 mile powertrain guarantee, which is a meaningful ownership perk for used buyers. The powertrain is described as satisfying, with the larger engine sounding burly under throttle and the SUV feeling best as a cruiser rather than a hard-driving performance model.

For long-term ownership, the main risk is that you’re still buying a luxury SUV with known comfort and efficiency compromises, so upkeep and running costs may matter more than outright mechanical drama.

What should I look for when buying a used 2025 Genesis GV80?

Accident-free inventory is excellent at 92.4% — clean inventory, standard diligence applies.

You should still run a vehicle history report and prioritize a pre-purchase inspection, especially if you’re comparing higher-mileage examples or trims with more equipment. Focus on seat condition, feature operation, and whether the tech and driver-assistance systems work as expected, since this model leans heavily on electronics and comfort features.

Key things to evaluate:

• Trim level: The GV80 is available with two engine options and five trims, and the base setup is more about luxury presentation than maximum equipment. The top Prestige trim adds the larger engine and more upscale content, while upper trims also bring features like remote smart parking and a 360-degree camera system.
• Powertrain: The standard 2.5-liter turbocharged four-cylinder makes 300 horsepower and 311 pound-feet of torque, while the twin-turbocharged six-cylinder makes 375 horsepower and 391 lb-ft of torque. Every trim gets all-wheel drive, and the SUV is tuned more for smooth cruising than sporty driving.
• Safety package: Highway Drive Assist is standard, along with lane keeping assist, forward collision avoidance, blind-spot monitoring, rear cross-traffic alert, and an attention monitor. Upper trims add remote smart parking and a 360-degree camera system, so lower trims miss some convenience features.
• Infotainment: All trims get a 27-inch OLED screen with a digital gauge cluster and infotainment system. Wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto are included, along with wireless charging, a Wi-Fi hotspot, and four USB-C ports.
• Fuel efficiency: The four-cylinder engine is rated at 19 mpg city, 24 mpg highway and 21 mpg combined, while the six-cylinder returns 16/22/19.

Which 2025 Genesis GV80 trim should I buy?

The 2025 Genesis GV80 is offered in 5 trim levels: Standard, Select, Advance, Prestige, AWD.

Here's the short version:

• Standard: This is the entry point if you want the GV80’s core luxury feel, standard all-wheel drive, and the 27-inch OLED screen without paying for extras.
• Select: This is the trim to watch if you want a step up from the base model without jumping all the way to the pricier upper trims.
• Advance: This is the best-value choice if you want access to the larger engine and more of the GV80’s upscale equipment without going straight to the top.
• Prestige: This is the most fully featured version, and it’s the right pick if you want the richest cabin and the strongest available powertrain.
• AWD: This trim is the one to choose if you want the added equipment Genesis deleted from the lower-priced setup, including a heated steering wheel, digital key, and spare tire.

The safety package starts with a strong standard suite, and upper trims add more convenience-focused driver aids.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2025 Genesis GV80?

The market looks buyer-friendly right now, with solid deal availability and a meaningful price drop versus last year.

• Deal availability: 41.8% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 1,919 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 15.14% compared with last year.
• Clean inventory: 92.4% of listings are accident-free.

If you find a listing below $49,863, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2025 Genesis GV80's resale value?

The current average of $49,969 sits slightly below last year's $58,887.

That drop suggests the GV80 has become more attractive for buyers, but it also means a future seller may face more price pressure than owners saw a year ago. If you buy well now, you’re starting from a lower entry point, which can help soften depreciation pain later. The strongest resale position will likely come from well-equipped examples with desirable features and clean history.

Is the 2025 Genesis GV80 safe?

The 2025 Genesis GV80 has not yet been rated by IIHS or NHTSA.

It earns a 9/10 safety score from our experts.

Genesis’ Highway Drive Assist is standard, and it includes an attention monitor that watches the driver’s eyes and can be turned off in the infotainment system. Standard driver aids also include lane keeping assist, forward collision avoidance, blind-spot monitoring, and rear cross-traffic alert, while upper trims add remote smart parking and a 360-degree camera system.

One caveat is that some of the driver-assist settings take a few taps to adjust, which can be annoying if you want to quickly disable lane keeping assist. The attention monitor also had a sunglass-related limitation in testing, though Genesis says an over-the-air fix should address it.

Should I buy a 2025 Genesis GV80 or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2025 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2025 if:

• 41.8% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Accident-free inventory is excellent at 92.4% — clean inventory, standard diligence applies.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 15.14% compared with last year.
• The 2025 update brings a redesigned look, more sophisticated interior materials, and wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto.

Consider the 2024 if:

• At $44,883, the 2024 costs less than the current year's $49,969 average.
• It remains a stylish, safe, and mostly rewarding midsize luxury SUV.

The bottom line: If you want the fresher cabin, updated tech, and stronger market availability, the 2025 is the better all-around pick. If your priority is saving money and you’re comfortable giving up the redesign and wireless smartphone integration, the 2024 is the smarter value play.
