Is the 2025 GMC Hummer EV SUV a good car?

Yes — 5/5 is a strong user rating for this model year. The 2025 GMC Hummer EV SUV stands out as an extreme electric SUV with a distinctive mix of size, off-road hardware, and unmistakable styling, and it is best suited to you if you want a highly maneuverable, highly capable EV with a unique presence. It also brings up to 1,160 horsepower, four-wheel steering, an air suspension system with up to 16 inches of ground clearance in Extract Mode, removable Sky Panels, and standard Super Cruise, so the appeal is rooted in capability and novelty rather than subtlety or efficiency. 36.9% of listings are priced as good or great deals, which gives you some room to shop selectively.

Is the 2025 GMC Hummer EV SUV reliable?

Owners rate it 5/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction. The 2025 GMC Hummer EV SUV is described as mechanically identical to the pickup, with generous standard equipment and a robust feature set that includes DC fast charging on an 800-volt architecture, four-wheel steering, and standard driver-assistance technology. It is also described as very inefficient and extremely heavy, with sub-par interior materials, so long-term ownership risk for used buyers is more about accepting those compromises than about expecting conventional SUV behavior.

What should I look for when buying a used 2025 GMC Hummer EV SUV?

Accident-free inventory is excellent at 96.6% — clean inventory, standard diligence applies.

You should still run a history report and verify that the vehicle’s condition matches the listing photos and description. Prioritize a thorough inspection of the body, cabin, tires, and charging-related equipment, since this is a heavy, high-output EV with specialized hardware. Focus on signs of wear, prior damage, and any inconsistencies in how the vehicle presents versus how it drives.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2025 GMC Hummer EV SUV?

This is a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you can shop carefully and still find worthwhile opportunities.

• Deal availability: 36.9% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 406 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 12.75% compared with last year.
• Clean inventory: 96.6% of listings are accident-free.

If you find a listing below $70,146, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2025 GMC Hummer EV SUV's resale value?

The current average of $70,269 sits slightly below last year's $80,533.

That price movement suggests the market has cooled, which can make future resale more sensitive to condition, mileage, and equipment. If you buy at the right price now, you may have a better chance of limiting depreciation pressure later. Strong presentation and clean history matter even more when the market is already softer.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 5/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2025 GMC Hummer EV SUV or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2025 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2025 if:

• 36.9% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Accident-free inventory is excellent at 96.6% — clean inventory, standard diligence applies.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 12.75% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 5/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.

Consider the 2024 if:

• At $68,004, the 2024 costs less than the current year's $70,269 average.
• The 2024 emphasizes practicality with useful cargo space and strong off-road ability.

The bottom line: If you want the newer model year and are comfortable shopping the market carefully, the 2025 is the better primary target. If your priority is saving money up front, the 2024 is the smarter secondary path because it comes in below the current average while still delivering the Hummer EV SUV’s core appeal.
