How much does the 2025 Ford Mustang cost?

Prices have softened 8.44% compared to this time last year, making it a favorable time to shop this model year.

There are 3,178 listings available, which gives you a solid amount of inventory to compare.

Is the 2025 Ford Mustang a good car?

Yes — 5/5 is a strong user rating for the 2025 Ford Mustang. The overview shows a car that keeps the classic Mustang formula intact while giving you a wide spread of performance choices, from EcoBoost power to V8 trims and both automatic and manual transmissions. If you want a front-engine, rear-wheel-drive coupe or convertible with a familiar layout and multiple personalities, this model year fits that brief well. 33.7% of listings are priced as good or great deals, which gives you some room to shop selectively.

Is the 2025 Ford Mustang reliable?

Owners rate it 5/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

The overview points to a familiar Mustang formula with a broad trim and powertrain spread, which can be appealing if you want a proven layout rather than something experimental. It also notes reported issues for the 2024 and 2025 model years, including powertrain vibrations, inconsistent interior build quality, limited-slip differential problems, and electronic stability control concerns. For a used buyer, that means you should pay close attention to condition and service history so you can reduce the risk of inheriting a costly repair.

What should I look for when buying a used 2025 Ford Mustang?

Accident-free inventory is excellent at 90.8% — clean inventory, standard diligence applies.

You should still run a history report and verify that the car’s records match its advertised condition. Put inspection priority on the drivetrain, differential behavior, and electronic systems, since those are the areas called out in the overview. You should also focus on interior fit and finish, especially if you want a car that feels tight and well cared for.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2025 Ford Mustang?

This is a moderate market, so you can shop selectively without expecting every listing to be a bargain.

• Deal availability: 33.7% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 3,178 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 8.44% compared with last year.
• Clean inventory: 90.8% of listings are accident-free.

If you find a listing below $42,315, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2025 Ford Mustang's resale value?

The current average of $42,325 sits slightly below last year's $46,228.

That price movement suggests the market has cooled a bit, which can help you buy more confidently now but may also mean slower appreciation if you plan to resell soon. If you buy at the right price and keep the car in strong condition, you can help protect your future exit value. The broad appeal of the Mustang name should continue to support demand, especially for well-kept examples with desirable equipment.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 5/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2025 Ford Mustang or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2025 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2025 if:

• 33.7% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Accident-free inventory is excellent at 90.8% — clean inventory, standard diligence applies.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 8.44% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 5/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.

Consider the 2024 if:

• At $37,926, the 2024 costs less than the current year's $42,325 average.
• It offers strong performance with a more value-focused appeal.

The bottom line: If you want the newer model year with strong inventory, a healthy share of good deals, and broad trim and powertrain choice, the 2025 is the better starting point. If your priority is saving money up front, the 2024 is the smarter path and still gives you the Mustang experience at a lower entry price.
