How much does the 2025 Ford Mustang cost?

Prices have softened 7.17% compared to this time last year, making it a favorable time to shop this model year.

There are 3,101 listings available, which suggests solid inventory for shoppers comparing trims and prices.

Is the 2025 Ford Mustang a good car?

Yes — the 5/5 user rating points to strong owner satisfaction. The 2025 Mustang keeps the classic front-engine, rear-wheel-drive coupe or convertible formula intact, while giving you a wide spread of performance choices across EcoBoost, GT, and Dark Horse versions. That makes it a fit if you want a recognizable American performance car with multiple ways to tailor power, transmission, and body style to your needs. 32.2% of listings are priced as good or great deals, which gives you a decent chance to find a competitive offer.

Is the 2025 Ford Mustang reliable?

Owners rate it 5/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

The 2025 Mustang’s appeal comes from its familiar layout and broad powertrain range, but reported issues for the 2024 and 2025 model years include powertrain vibrations, inconsistent interior build quality, limited-slip differential problems, and electronic stability control concerns. That means you should treat a used purchase like a performance-car buy: inspect carefully, verify maintenance, and pay close attention to how the car drives and feels.

What should I look for when buying a used 2025 Ford Mustang?

Accident-free inventory is excellent at 90.4% — clean inventory, standard diligence applies.

You should still run a vehicle history report and confirm the car’s service records before you buy. Put the inspection focus on drivetrain behavior, interior fit and finish, and any warning lights or unusual vibrations during a test drive. Because reported issues include powertrain and stability-related concerns, condition and documentation matter more than usual.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2025 Ford Mustang?

This looks like a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you can shop patiently and still find worthwhile listings.

• Deal availability: 32.2% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 3,101 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 7.17% compared with last year.
• Clean inventory: 90.4% of listings are accident-free.

If you find a listing below $42,280, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2025 Ford Mustang's resale value?

The current average of $42,307 sits slightly below last year's $45,576.

That price movement suggests the market has cooled a bit, which can help you buy at a better entry point today. For a future seller, that also means resale value will depend heavily on condition, mileage, and how well the car is documented. Well-kept examples should hold attention better than neglected ones, especially in a performance-car market where buyers compare closely.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 5/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2025 Ford Mustang or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2025 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2025 if:

• 32.2% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Accident-free inventory is excellent at 90.4% — clean inventory, standard diligence applies.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 7.17% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 5/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.

Consider the 2024 if:

• At $38,016, the 2024 costs less than the current year's $42,307 average.
• It offers strong performance with great handling and excellent value.

The bottom line: If you want the newest version with strong inventory and a broad trim spread, the 2025 is the better starting point. If your priority is saving money, the 2024 is the smarter value play and still delivers the Mustang experience.
