How much does the 2025 Ford F-150 cost?

Prices have softened 16.86% compared to this time last year, making it a favorable time to shop this model year.

There are 9,828 listings available, which suggests solid inventory for comparison shopping.

Is the 2025 Ford F-150 a good car?

Yes — the 2025 Ford F-150 earns a 5/5 user rating and a 7.33/10 expert rating. The standout strength is Safety at 9/10.

The 2025 F-150’s appeal comes from its sheer breadth of configurations: three cab styles, three bed lengths, and eight trim levels give you a lot of ways to match the truck to your needs. It also brings six powertrains, including an electric version, plus added driver-assistance systems and a new luxury-oriented package for buyers who want more refinement.

The trade-offs are clear too: poor fuel economy, poor maneuverability, and an average value proposition are part of the package. If you want a truck that can be tailored from work-focused to more specialized use cases, this one fits that brief well.

34.9% of listings are priced as good or great deals, which is a decent sign of market flexibility.

Is the 2025 Ford F-150 reliable?

Owners rate it 5/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

The 2025 F-150 is presented as a highly versatile truck with broad capability, and the expert evaluation reinforces that it’s built to handle a wide range of jobs. Its standard and available equipment also points to a truck designed for everyday usability as well as heavier-duty tasks.

The 5.0-liter V8 is described as one of the best ever, with strong output and a satisfying sound, while the twin-turbo 3.5-liter EcoBoost V6 is noted as more capable and more fuel efficient. That combination suggests you have durable-feeling powertrain choices, depending on how you plan to use the truck.

If you’re buying used, the main long-term risk is choosing a configuration that doesn’t match your needs, since the truck’s size, complexity, and equipment spread can make ownership costs and day-to-day livability vary a lot.

What should I look for when buying a used 2025 Ford F-150?

Accident-free inventory is excellent at 94.3% — clean inventory, standard diligence applies.

You should still run a vehicle history report and prioritize a pre-purchase inspection, especially if you’re looking at a truck that’s been used for towing, off-roading, or heavy daily work. Focus on condition, equipment, and signs of wear that could affect how the truck drives and how much value you’re getting.

Key things to evaluate:

• Trim level: The Tremor builds on the XLT trim level with off-roading equipment and exclusive design details, while the base-spec cabin is described as more industrial in appearance than some rivals.
• Powertrain: The standard 5.0-liter V8 makes 400 horsepower and 410 pound-feet of torque, while the twin-turbo 3.5-liter EcoBoost V6 is more capable and more fuel efficient.
• Safety package: BlueCruise is standard starting with the Lariat trim and includes a one-year trial subscription; the 2025 model also adds oncoming-traffic detection for automatic emergency braking, evasive steering assist, intersection braking assist, predictive speed assist, Road Edge Detection, and Active Blind-Spot Assist.
• Infotainment: The truck uses a 12-inch productivity screen and a 12-inch Sync 4 infotainment touchscreen, with wireless Apple CarPlay, wireless Android Auto, and strong voice recognition.
• Fuel efficiency: The Tremor EcoBoost is rated at 18 mpg combined, while the V8 is rated at 17 mpg.

Which 2025 Ford F-150 trim should I buy?

The 2025 Ford F-150 is offered in 8 trim levels: XL, XLT, Tremor, Lariat, King Ranch, Platinum, Raptor, and Raptor R.

Here's the short version:

• XL: This is the entry point if you want the broad F-150 experience at the lowest rung, but the content here points to a more basic setup than the higher trims.
• XLT: This is the trim that the Tremor builds on, so it’s the logical step up if you want a more complete starting point without jumping into specialty territory.
• Tremor: This is the best-value choice if you want off-road capability, a standard V8, and distinctive design details without going all the way to the Raptor models.
• Lariat: This is the trim where BlueCruise becomes standard, so it’s the one to target if hands-free driving matters to you.
• King Ranch: This trim sits in the upscale part of the lineup and is aimed at buyers who want more luxury-oriented appeal.
• Platinum: This is another premium choice for buyers who want a more upscale truck experience.
• Raptor: This is one of the off-road-focused versions and is the more extreme performance-oriented choice than the Tremor.
• Raptor R: This is the most extreme off-road-focused version in the lineup and sits at the top of the specialty side of the range.

BlueCruise is standard starting with the Lariat trim.

• Inventory: There are 9,828 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 16.86% compared with last year.

What is the 2025 Ford F-150's resale value?

The current average of $49,202 sits slightly below last year's $59,177.

That price drop suggests the truck has become more accessible for used buyers, but it also means future sellers may face a softer market than owners saw a year ago. If you buy at the right price and keep the truck in strong condition, you may be better positioned to preserve value than someone who pays near the top of the range.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 5/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Is the 2025 Ford F-150 safe?

The 2025 Ford F-150 earns five-star ratings from NHTSA and scores well in IIHS crash tests.

It earns a 9/10 safety score from our experts.

Ford’s BlueCruise hands-free driving technology is standard starting with the Lariat trim and includes a one-year trial subscription. The truck also adds new driver-assistance features for 2025, including oncoming-traffic detection for automatic emergency braking, evasive steering assist, intersection braking assist, predictive speed assist, Road Edge Detection, and Active Blind-Spot Assist.

BlueCruise is impressive and clearly communicates its status, but it still requires you to stay ready to take over when lane markings, construction, glare, or other conditions confuse the system.

Should I buy a 2025 Ford F-150 or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2025 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2025 if:

• 34.9% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Accident-free inventory is excellent at 94.3% — clean inventory, standard diligence applies.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 16.86% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 5/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.
• It adds a slew of new standard and optional driver-assistance systems.

Consider the 2024 if:

• At $45,223, the 2024 costs less than the current year's $49,202 average.
• It adds thoughtful updates inside and out.

Consider the 2026 if:

• It reshuffles standard and optional equipment across its eight trims, three beds, three cabs, and six powertrains.

The bottom line: If you want the newest safety and tech updates, the 2025 is the better target. If your priority is saving money, the 2024 is the smarter value play. If you want the broadest possible configuration range and don’t mind looking ahead, the 2026 keeps the F-150 formula intact.
