Used 2025 Chevrolet Traverse for Sale nearMexico, NY

How much does the 2025 Chevrolet Traverse cost?

Prices have softened 2.76% compared to this time last year, making it a favorable time to shop this model year.

There are 4,621 listings available, which suggests solid inventory for shoppers comparing trims and prices.

Is the 2025 Chevrolet Traverse a good car?

Yes — the 2025 Chevrolet Traverse earns a 5/5 user rating and a 7.17/10 expert rating. The standout strength is Technology at 10/10.

The Traverse fits buyers who want a larger midsize three-row SUV with stylish design, plenty of cargo space, and strong everyday utility. Chevrolet’s 2025 updates broaden its appeal, including standard trailering equipment and the new High Country trim, while the available Super Cruise system adds a major convenience advantage for long drives.

The trade-offs are real, though: the engine note is unpleasant, the interior materials feel cheap, and value for money is a weak point. Even so, the model’s broad capability and feature-rich setup make it appealing if you prioritize space, tech, and towing usefulness over polish.

36.4% of listings are priced as good or great deals, so there are meaningful opportunities if you shop carefully.

Is the 2025 Chevrolet Traverse reliable?

Owners rate it 5/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

The 2025 Traverse’s reliability case is helped by its broad standard equipment and its focus on everyday usability. Chevrolet also gives you a strong technology package and standard trailering capability, which can reduce the need to add costly extras later. The expert evaluation also notes good fuel economy for the segment and strong cargo space measurements.

The main long-term ownership risk for used buyers is that the same quality concerns called out in testing may continue to matter as mileage builds, especially around refinement and interior durability.

What should I look for when buying a used 2025 Chevrolet Traverse?

Accident-free inventory is excellent at 93.2% — clean inventory, standard diligence applies.

You should still run a vehicle history report and prioritize a thorough pre-purchase inspection, especially if you’re considering a higher-mileage example or one with towing use. Focus on interior condition, control feel, and signs of hard use, since the Traverse’s quality and usability complaints are part of the ownership story. If you’re shopping a Z71, pay extra attention to whether the added capability matches how the vehicle was actually used.

Key things to evaluate:

• Trim level: The available trims include LT, Z71, High Country, and RS. The base-level setup is less appealing than the better-equipped versions, while the Z71 adds rugged styling and extra capability, and the High Country brings the upscale positioning this year’s lineup lacked before.
• Powertrain: The 2.5-liter turbocharged four-cylinder makes 328 horsepower and 326 pound-feet of torque. It delivers strong acceleration, but the engine note is unrefined and front-wheel-drive operation can bring wheel spin and torque steer.
• Safety package: Standard equipment includes adaptive cruise control, forward collision warning, automatic emergency braking, lane-departure warning, lane-keep assist, active blind-spot monitoring, rear cross-traffic alert, intersection braking, rear automatic braking, automatic high-beam headlights, pedestrian and cyclist detection, and a Safety Alert Seat. The Driver Confidence Package adds a high-definition surround-view camera system, traffic sign recognition, and rear pedestrian alert, while the Enhanced Driving Package adds Super Cruise and remote-parking technology.
• Infotainment: You get a standard 17.7-inch touchscreen with Google Built-in, wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, wireless smartphone charging, Alexa compatibility, OnStar connected services, Wi-Fi hotspot access, and SiriusXM 360L.
• Fuel efficiency: The Traverse Z71 is EPA-rated at 21 mpg in combined driving, and the test vehicle averaged 21.5 mpg in mixed use.

Which 2025 Chevrolet Traverse trim should I buy?

The 2025 Chevrolet Traverse is offered in 4 trim levels: LT, Z71, High Country, and RS.

Here's the short version:

• LT: This is the most straightforward choice if you want the Traverse’s core strengths without paying for the more specialized trims. It gives you the roomy three-row layout, strong standard tech, and broad everyday usefulness.
• Z71: This is the best fit if you want the most distinctive character and the extra capability that comes with it. It adds off-road-oriented hardware and a more rugged setup, but the content also makes clear that its ground clearance still isn’t enough for serious terrain.
• High Country: This is the upscale choice in the lineup and the one to consider if you want the most premium-feeling Traverse. It’s the new top-end trim for 2025.
• RS: This is the style-forward option if you want a sportier appearance and a more expressive look than the lower trims.

The standard safety package is broad across the lineup, and the available Driver Confidence Package and Enhanced Driving Package add even more advanced driver-assistance tech.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2025 Chevrolet Traverse?

This is a moderate buyer’s market, so you have room to compare listings and wait for the right example.

• Deal availability: 36.4% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 4,621 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 2.76% compared with last year.
• Clean inventory: 93.2% of listings are accident-free.

If you find a listing below $39,013, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2025 Chevrolet Traverse's resale value?

The current average of $39,857 sits slightly below last year's $40,988.

That softer pricing suggests the market has become a bit more favorable for buyers, which can also mean future sellers may need to stay competitive on condition and equipment. The Traverse’s strong technology, broad utility, and family-friendly size should help support demand, but its value story is still influenced by the model’s mixed reputation for refinement.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 5/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2025 Chevrolet Traverse or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2025 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2025 if:

• 36.4% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Accident-free inventory is excellent at 93.2% — clean inventory, standard diligence applies.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 2.76% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 5/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.
• Chevrolet adds the new High Country trim, standard trailering equipment, and available Super Cruise.

Consider the 2024 if:

• At $37,822, the 2024 costs less than the current year's $39,857 average.
• It brings more standard driver aids and a larger infotainment touchscreen.

Consider the 2026 if:

• It emphasizes a spacious interior, a pleasant ride, and lots of safety equipment.

The bottom line: If you want the newest mix of standard towing capability, advanced tech, and strong safety equipment, the 2025 is the better all-around pick. If your priority is saving money, the 2024 is the smarter value play, especially if you can find one with the space and equipment you want.
