Used 2025 Chevrolet Traverse for Sale nearElmira, NY

How much does the 2025 Chevrolet Traverse cost?

Prices have softened 3.00% compared to this time last year, making it a favorable time to shop this model year.

There are 4,444 listings available, which suggests solid inventory for shoppers comparing trims and prices.

Is the 2025 Chevrolet Traverse a good car?

Yes — the 2025 Chevrolet Traverse earns a 5/5 user rating and a 7.17/10 expert rating. The standout strength is Technology at 10/10.

The Traverse fits buyers who want a larger midsize three-row SUV with stylish design, plenty of cargo space, and strong everyday utility. Chevrolet’s 2025 updates broaden its appeal, including standard trailering equipment and a new upscale trim, but the model still draws criticism for an irritating engine sound, cheap-feeling interior materials, and poor value for money.

The good news is that the feature set is broad and the standard tech is impressive, but the trade-offs are real if you care most about refinement or cabin quality. Good and great deals account for 38.3% of listings, which gives you some room to shop selectively.

Is the 2025 Chevrolet Traverse reliable?

Owners rate it 5/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

The 2025 Traverse is presented as a broadly capable family SUV with strong utility, and Chevrolet’s updates add convenience without changing the basic formula. The powertrain is described as delivering plenty of power, and the model’s standard equipment makes it easier to live with day to day.

It also benefits from a strong technology package and a comprehensive set of standard driver aids, which can reduce stress in regular use. Chevrolet includes three years of access to Super Cruise when you choose the Enhanced Driving Package, adding another layer of convenience for long-distance driving.

For used buyers, the main long-term ownership risk is that the same quality and usability complaints that show up in testing may continue to matter after the novelty wears off.

What should I look for when buying a used 2025 Chevrolet Traverse?

Accident-free inventory is excellent at 93.3% — clean inventory, standard diligence applies.

You should still run a history report and prioritize a pre-purchase inspection, especially if you’re considering a higher-trim or heavily optioned example. Focus on cabin condition, control usability, and whether the vehicle’s features work as expected, since the Traverse’s appeal depends heavily on its equipment and everyday usability.

Key things to evaluate:

• Trim level: The available trims include LT, Z71, High Country, and RS. The base trim gap matters because the lineup starts above the entry-level LS that disappeared for 2025, and the Z71 adds the off-road-oriented hardware and appearance that set it apart.
• Powertrain: The Traverse uses a 2.5-liter turbocharged four-cylinder engine with 328 horsepower and 326 pound-feet of torque. It delivers strong acceleration, but the engine note is described as unpleasant, and front-wheel-drive operation can bring wheel spin and torque steer.
• Safety package: Standard equipment includes adaptive cruise control, forward collision warning, automatic emergency braking, lane-departure warning, lane-keep assist, active blind-spot monitoring, rear cross-traffic alert, intersection braking, rear automatic braking, automatic high-beam headlights, pedestrian and cyclist detection, and a Safety Alert Seat. The Driver Confidence Package adds a high-definition surround-view camera system, traffic sign recognition, and rear pedestrian alert, while the Enhanced Driving Package adds Super Cruise and remote-parking technology.
• Infotainment: The standard 17.7-inch touchscreen includes Google Built-in, Google Maps navigation, Google Assistant, Google Play Store access, Alexa compatibility, OnStar connected services, a Wi-Fi hotspot, wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, wireless smartphone charging, and SiriusXM 360L.
• Fuel efficiency: The Traverse Z71 is EPA-rated at 21 mpg in combined driving, and the test vehicle averaged 21.5 mpg in mixed use.

Which 2025 Chevrolet Traverse trim should I buy?

The 2025 Chevrolet Traverse is offered in 4 trim levels: LT, Z71, High Country, and RS.

Here's the short version:

• LT: This is the most straightforward choice if you want the Traverse’s core strengths without paying for the more specialized trims. It gives you the roomy three-row layout, strong standard technology, and broad everyday usefulness.
• Z71: This is the best-value trim if you want the most distinctive character. It adds the off-road-oriented suspension, all-terrain tires, skid plate, red tow hooks, Twin Clutch AWD, Terrain mode, hill descent control, and improved approach angle, while also benefiting from the standard trailering setup.
• High Country: This is the upscale choice if you want the newest premium trim in the lineup. It suits shoppers who care more about a richer feature set and a more luxurious presentation than rugged styling.
• RS: This is the style-focused option for buyers who want a sportier appearance and a more expressive look than the lower trims.

The standard safety package is broad across the lineup, and the available Driver Confidence Package and Enhanced Driving Package add meaningful extra capability.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2025 Chevrolet Traverse?

This is a moderate market for selective buyers, so you can shop with some leverage if you’re patient.

• Deal availability: 38.3% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 4,444 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 3.00% compared with last year.
• Clean inventory: 93.3% of listings are accident-free.

If you find a listing below $39,024, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2025 Chevrolet Traverse's resale value?

The current average of $40,149 sits slightly below last year's $41,390.

That price movement suggests the market has eased a bit, which can help you buy more confidently now but may also limit short-term upside if you plan to resell soon. The year’s softer pricing trend means future sellers may need to stay competitive on condition, mileage, and equipment to stand out.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 5/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Standard features include adaptive cruise control, forward collision warning, automatic emergency braking, lane-departure warning, lane-keep assist, active blind-spot monitoring, rear cross-traffic alert, intersection braking, rear automatic braking, automatic high-beam headlights, pedestrian and cyclist detection, and a Safety Alert Seat.

The Driver Confidence Package adds a high-definition surround-view camera system, traffic sign recognition, and rear pedestrian alert. The Enhanced Driving Package adds hands-free Super Cruise and remote-parking technology, and it also includes the digital rearview mirror and a 10-speaker Bose premium sound system.

Should I buy a 2025 Chevrolet Traverse or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2025 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2025 if:

• 38.3% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Accident-free inventory is excellent at 93.3% — clean inventory, standard diligence applies.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 3.00% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 5/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.
• Chevrolet makes the formerly optional Trailering Package standard and adds the new High Country trim.

Consider the 2024 if:

• At $37,958, the 2024 costs less than the current year's $40,149 average.
• It brought more standard driver aids and a much larger infotainment touchscreen.

Consider the 2026 if:

• It emphasizes a spacious interior, a pleasant ride, and lots of safety equipment.

The bottom line: The 2025 is the better pick if you want the newest mix of standard towing capability, strong tech, and broad safety equipment. If your priority is saving money, the 2024 is the more budget-friendly path, while the 2026 makes sense if you want to compare against a later-year version with a comfort-and-safety focus.
