Used 2025 Chevrolet Traverse for Sale nearDayton, OH

How much does the 2025 Chevrolet Traverse cost?

Prices have softened 2.86% compared to this time last year, making it a favorable time to shop this model year.

There are 4,715 listings available, which suggests solid inventory for comparison shopping.

Is the 2025 Chevrolet Traverse a good car?

Yes — the 2025 Chevrolet Traverse earns a 5/5 user rating and a 7.2/10 expert rating. The standout strength is Technology at 10/10.

The Traverse’s appeal centers on style, technology, and utility, and it stands out as one of the larger midsize three-row SUVs available. It also brings plenty of cargo space and strong feature appeal, which makes it a practical fit if you want a family hauler with broad capability.

The trade-offs are worth weighing: the engine note is unpleasant, and the interior materials feel cheap. It also draws criticism for quality and usability, so you should expect some rough edges even if the feature set is impressive.

Good and great deals account for 32.7% of listings, which gives you some room to shop selectively.

Is the 2025 Chevrolet Traverse reliable?

Owners rate it 5/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

The 2025 Traverse is presented as a vehicle that gets a lot right in everyday use, especially with its strong technology and broad capability. It also benefits from a standard trailering setup that makes its towing capacity easier to use, which supports practical ownership.

At the same time, the expert evaluation points to quality concerns around the powertrain and interior materials, so you should pay close attention to how the vehicle has been used and maintained. For used buyers, the main long-term risk is living with those quality and usability compromises over time.

What should I look for when buying a used 2025 Chevrolet Traverse?

Accident-free inventory is excellent at 93.1% — clean inventory, standard diligence applies.

You should still run a vehicle history report and verify that the specific example you’re considering has a clean maintenance and accident record. A pre-purchase inspection is especially important if you want to check for interior wear, drivetrain behavior, and any signs that the vehicle has been used hard. Focus on condition, because the Traverse’s value proposition depends heavily on whether the example you find feels well kept.

Key things to evaluate:

• Trim level: The available trims include the LT, Z71, High Country, and RS. The base-level experience is not the focus here, so you should compare how much equipment each step up adds before deciding what matters most to you.
• Powertrain: The 2.5-liter turbocharged four-cylinder makes 328 horsepower and 326 pound-feet of torque. It can feel strong, but the engine note is criticized, and front-wheel-drive operation can bring wheel spin and torque steer.
• Safety package: Chevrolet Safety Assist and Safety Package 1 bring adaptive cruise control, forward collision warning, automatic emergency braking, lane-departure warning, lane-keep assist, active blind-spot monitoring, rear cross-traffic alert, intersection braking, rear automatic braking, automatic high-beam headlights, pedestrian and cyclist detection, and a Safety Alert Seat. The Enhanced Driving Package adds Super Cruise and remote-parking technology.
• Infotainment: The standard 17.7-inch touchscreen includes Google Built-in, wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, wireless smartphone charging, Alexa compatibility, OnStar connected services, and a Wi-Fi hotspot.
• Fuel efficiency: The Traverse is described as having good fuel economy for the segment, and the test vehicle returned 21 mpg in combined driving.

Which 2025 Chevrolet Traverse trim should I buy?

The 2025 Chevrolet Traverse is offered in 4 trim levels: LT, Z71, High Country, and RS.

Here's the short version:

• LT: This is the trim to start with if you want the core Traverse experience without paying for the more specialized versions. It gives you the broad utility, strong technology, and family-friendly packaging that define the model.
• Z71: This is the best fit if you want the most rugged character and the extra capability that comes with it. It adds off-road-oriented hardware, including all-terrain tires, a skid plate, red tow hooks, a more capable AWD system, Terrain mode, hill descent control, and extra ground clearance.
• High Country: This is the upscale choice if you want the newest premium trim in the lineup and prefer a more luxurious direction.
• RS: This is the style-focused option if you want a sportier appearance and a more expressive top-end feel.

The safety package is broad across the lineup, and the Enhanced Driving Package adds Super Cruise and remote-parking technology.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2025 Chevrolet Traverse?

The market looks moderately favorable if you’re a selective buyer.

• Deal availability: 32.7% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 4,715 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 2.86% compared with last year.
• Clean inventory: 93.1% of listings are accident-free.

If you find a listing below $39,009, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2025 Chevrolet Traverse's resale value?

The current average of $39,505 sits slightly below last year's $40,668.

That softer pricing suggests the Traverse is currently in a buyer-friendly phase, which can matter if you plan to sell later. If prices stabilize after this dip, today’s lower entry point could help support future demand from shoppers looking for value.

The model’s strong technology and broad utility should help keep it relevant with used buyers. Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 5/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2025 Chevrolet Traverse or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2025 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2025 if:

• 32.7% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Accident-free inventory is excellent at 93.1% — clean inventory, standard diligence applies.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 2.86% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 5/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.
• It adds a standard trailering package and a new High Country trim.

Consider the 2024 if:

• At $37,501, the 2024 costs less than the current year's $39,505 average.
• It introduced a bigger, more rugged redesign with more standard driver aids and more third-row space.

Consider the 2026 if:

• It emphasizes a spacious interior, a pleasant ride, and lots of safety equipment.

The bottom line: If you want the newest mix of technology, standard towing convenience, and strong safety equipment, the 2025 is the better target. If price matters most, the 2024 is the value play, while the 2026 makes sense if you want to compare against a later-year version with a comfort-first focus.
